He was handed the keys to the car, couldn't crack double digits points per game and shot 23% from three. I liked his rebounding, but man, the kid was real limited offensively.

There is absolutely no rough ridin' way to positively spin losing three of your top seven players, two of which were starters. Two sophomores and one that just transferred here a year ago. I don't give a damn if we're replacing these players with the Monstars. I don't know how oscar can be trusted to do this again.

Gene Smith fired Thad Matta in June because of Matta's inability to build a roster that can win.

Yeah, I was actually pretty encouraged that oscar found a way to get this team moving in the right direction, but jesus christ, having half your starting lineup transfer, and the attrition is certainly not over, is just a total punch in the gut. eff oscar. eff oscar forever.

lmao at any of this. Prove me wrong Carl!

Yeah, this is the stupidest things k-state fans have ever flirted with believing.

I don't particularly care about losing D Gordon, not sure he fits very well into what oscar wants to do on offense, but man, watching half the roster transfer again is not going to leave a good taste in my mouth.

Thanks for the info guys. The Hyatt looks great and I was ready to book it until I found out how much of a pain in the balls it is to get to and from Hawaii (mostly from). I'm probably passing.

Yeah, the trip back is miserable. No way to sugar coat it.

The best one is the one with the gun. Just rough ridin' wastes him without a second thought.

32
If we replaced him with a halfway decent shooter then it would be an upgrade.

Kauai sounds like it might be for us. Kids are 8 so we want things for them to do while Mrs. SF and I sit on the beach or by the pool and drink. Good restaurants there as well? TIA
There are a few but nothing like Oahu or Maui. But, with an 8 year old, wgaf.

There are a couple nice restaurants on/close to the resort. Tide pools on resort and Eating House 1849 a couple miles up the road. I wouldn't say the island is generally known for fine dining though. Plenty of decent spots to eat though.

burn it down if dajuan gordon leaves?

Lol, no. It'd be a mild bummer.

I'm not Steve Dave, but grand Hyatt is the nicest resort on Kauai, and probably the best for kids too. Lazy river, big ass pool slide, giant fake beach, pool basketball, camp Hyatt, Etc. But, Kauai isn't for everybody. Plenty of nature stuff to do, but not a whole lot of metropolitan attractions.

Headed to the Grand Hyatt in Kauai for a week at the end of June with the wife. Will hit Disneyland for a day on the way out there if they're open to out of state guests by that time. Gonna be weird leaving the kid at home after spending essentially an entire year at home with him 24/7. But I'm ready. This is by far the longest I've ever gone without travel, and it's time for that to end.

This season may narrowly avoid being the lowest point in K-State basketball, but I can guarantee that being #7 and losing to this K-State team tonight absolutely is the lowest point in OU basketball history. We're their Fort Hays State.

Yeah, if Fort Hays State had beaten them every year for like nine years in a row.

The pandemic has me going on like a four mile walk every day through my neighborhood to try to keep the ol' sanity intact. There's a dude on my route that has a primo '94 Prelude, just absolutely rough ridin' cherry. And this guy is probably in his early 50s with a mullet. He absolutely bought this thing new and has doted on it every single second since then. I've never felt more envy in my life. I want this goddam car. I wonder if a man like that would ever part with it though? Once I get my chip I may stop and ask him about it.

Pack and Bradford are so so good. Miguel and DG3 are absolute dogs.  Need like 2 more good players that don’t exist on this roster.

Between Gordon, murphy, and EZ there's a serviceable power forward in there. oscar needs to go get the best shooter available in the juco ranks, and that's probably all we need.

the team isn't going winless in the big 12, you goofs.  good grief.

Thank you.

Do you dorks feel silly now? Just a preposterous prediction.

Bump

yeah, we need another shooter way bad. Hopefully Luke is that dude. And Selton, I have no idea what to think about him. Other than that his offensive game needs to be more inside out. If he happens to get it going from outside that day, rough ridin' great. I'd rather not have him need to miss seven to find out. Get to the cup, get your feel, then let a couple loose to see how it feels that day.

Liked what I saw today. Guys are finally starting to find their way into the lane a bit, and it's creating opportunities. Love Bradford. Gordon is starting to carve out his role (oboarding like crazy, hit three when he's way open.) McGuirl has got so show a little rough ridin' patience on offense. So many awful awful shots and turnovers. If he could play more like A guy instead of THE guy, this would be a better team. Need pack to be more aggressive. Overall, we're getting better on both sides.

We should fire oscar at the end of the season, footage of him leaving in disgrace runs on the news all that night and into the next day. AD announces desire for a quick coaching search, hires a head hunter that always gets his man. Less than two weeks later, there's rumors that kstate got their guy. At the press conference to announce new coach, everyone's on the edge of their seat, who is it going to be? To the tune of gasps and women fainting in the aisles, mother rough ridin' oscar Weber strides onto the stage, grabs the mic, winks at Kellis and coyly says to the room, "Did you miss me?" It's pandemonium. Has anybody ever fired a coach and then rehired them in the same off-season? Kstate is hailed as an innovator. oscar is received as a hero. Gene immediately begins talks with international artists to see who can truly capture the essence of oscar when creating a statue. It's good to be a cat.

So weird to have a legitimately decent freshman big. Bradford is way more athletic than they made him sound when we were recruiting him.

but the skill is where he stands out compared to recent young bigs...nice bounce-back game from d gordon too
i dont have espnu. did gordon play good D? because his shooting is a huge liability unless he is on the FT line
the ft line makes me think he actually CAN shoot, but he's a little too much in his own head.

Getting slizzered on Berry Weiss Leine's isn't ideal for my supposed keto diet.

Life is chaos. Do what you want.

You're welcome, doctor.

Went to this game with my gramps when I was the tender age of eight years old. Gramps was a cool dude, played on the freshman football squad at K-State in the early 50s. He also swears he played something called night basketball, because you couldn't play two varsity sports at the time, apparently they had a team for players that were better than your average rec league guys. Now, this sounded like total bullshit, and I can't find any record of it, but he was a straight shooter, so I give him the benefit of the doubt. He tells a good story of Tex Winter when he first got to K-State as an assistant. He was walking by the pole vaulters one day on his way to basketball practice (tex was) and they were all rough ridin' around trying to jump a height that was pretty improbable, even for D1 athletes. Tex strolls by, takes off his shoes, grabs a pole and rough ridin' clears it by like six inches. Hands the pole back to the whipper snappers he showed up, puts his shoes back on and heads to practice. Anyway, Ski was out of his gourd that evening. One of my favorite memories with one of my favorite people.

Also, my grandpa would have rough ridin' hated oscar Weber. If his heart hadn't already have gotten him, watching oscar would have killed him anyway. It's best he went before Frank got run.

It's very possible this freshman class is good enough that he repeats that trick.

Carti and Sneed are probably the most athletic players we’ve had since Walker and Sutton. Just my  :th_twocents:

Yea I’m just going to agree to disagree on the athleticism point but I am LBBIQ.   I do think oscar got 4 really good basketball players in Pack, Miguel, Bradford, and Kasubke but the 2019 class has been a major disappointment.  He doesn’t have any instant impact guys lined up for 2021, so you basically have had 1 good class in 6 years and that crap will get ya fired.

This is pretty objectively untrue. He's stayed employed with kstate for like the last six years off of one class.
