Kansas State Football / Re: Football Recruiting Thread
« on: January 07, 2016, 05:59:50 PM »
We are truly horrible at this.

52
To be fair, we have been losers of the last 6 out of 7 bowl games.

I mean, we suck in the games where we aren't completely overmatched athletically as well (Syracuse).

He looked good. We should have thought about using him more this season.

54

Are we now going to lose 7 out of our last 8 bowl games? Did I see that stat right?  :sdeek:

LHC LHC LHC LHC LHC LHC Bill Snyder doesn't give a eff about bowl games.

He used to care about bowl games.  He also used to care about recruiting.

So it's no mystery why that in Snyder 2.0 we suck incredible balls at both.

Snyder 2.0 is about the 16 goals and writing diagonal letters and Kansas 5 hearts and that's more than good enough for a lot of Cat fans.

If we end up with a mediocre season we will have overcome a lot of adversity.  And that is really something to be proud of.

Origami Rose no!!!

If Huggins doesn't crater our domes then I'll get jazzed for conference play.  The problem is Huggy is going to probably crater our domes while Oscar does his lizard tongue hands in the pockets thing while Stepehn Hurt jacks up threes.

Ok, so I did some digging over the holidays and unfortunately had to interrupt some family time to see if this rumor had legs.

Based on three people I spoke with, who have previous ties to K-State and likely connections to Venables, none of them have heard such a rumor about BV coming back this offseason as HCIW.

How reliable are these sources? One I would think to be pretty well in tune with things, the other two I really can't say. Therefore, I'm not going to say there's absolutely no way and/or that this rumor is 100% false. Time will tell, but the men I interacted with sure acted surprised to hear the rumor because they hadn't heard a peep of anything related to BV.

Oh man, Fitz had to take some holiday time off with family to investigate a story!l

:surprised:

I got pretty jazzed for Oscar's black and white public service announcement commercials.

60
Get your dicks out.  It's time for a cat-town bangfest!

61
The Big12 desperately needs national brand recognition and BYU would give that.  I would actually be OK with a western expansion that also brought in CSU.  They've committed to a new $220 million on campus stadium on par with Baylor which is also relevant.

62
Also embarrassed they nearly lost lossed to PigAggie.

fyp so pigaggies can understand it.

Lol.  These poor embiciles.

63
I also feel like the non-con was just the kids fooling around and getting drunked up on the liquor cabinet.  The Big12 is really when the pants come up off and the banging begins.

64
I'm with you, reno.  This is where Oscar's X's and O's coaching prowess comes in.  Once this squad figures out how to shoot against a zone, look out!

You know, there's nothing better than Bette Davis Eyes.

66
In Bill's hands at this point....seriously.

Confirmed.

I'm proud of the house (framework) we built.

69

The buzz is that Snyder has such a unique framework/structure for winning football at K-State, the successor, in order to avoid a breakdown and long rebuilding process, will need to adopt the Snyder way of doing things.  You'd think Venables knows that framework.  One of the reasons I happen to like the potential of Leavitt's involvement in all this is because Leavitt knows the framework as well.  A friend with a friend in the OU athletic dept is adamant that the FB program will collapse unless the Snyder successor is chosen within the Snyder coaching tree.

From now on, I'm going to refer to the football program as "the framework".

Essentially Flyertalk / Re: STAR WARS EPISODE VII THREAD WITH SPOILERS

My big complaint is that there wasn't really anything memorable or unique.

It's like, "Hey, we know the Death Star worked, so this time let's just make a bigger one that shoots a laser and everybody likes the bridge scene at the end where a main character dies so let's do that one in this one too".

Pretty disappointed in this movie.  It was formulaic and overly sentimental.  Spent way too much time appeasing the Star Wars dorks that wanted to see the old band get back together.  Overall, better than the last three, but a C.

Stark contrast to the absolute brilliance of Mad Max Fury Road.  That's how it's done.

73
We overcame an actual lineup where Budke and Roheleder were playing at the same time.  If that isn't adversity, I don't know what is.

74
Pig Aggie is insufferable.

75
Yeah, suck our cranks, Pig Aggie!
