Kansas State Football / 1% Chance
« on: November 15, 2014, 03:45:17 PM »
Theoretically if KU wins and K-State wins out, then KSU will win the Big 12 and should have a shot at the playoffs still.

Kansas State Football / Three key Issues VS TCU
« on: November 09, 2014, 12:08:55 AM »
1. Personnel issues all over the field: Dakorey not starting, Jones not starting, Clinkscales no playing time, Prewett no mop up at safety to show if he is better than Shelly or not.

2. Waters is obviously hurt, we refuse to run him making us a horribly one dimensional offense.

3. Our DBs had no clue what was going on this game and I didn't see much emotion from anyone to be honest.

Kansas State Football / How many sacks do we have this year?

Serious question and what happened to Mueller? Lee and Willis look like future studs.

Kansas State Football / WR corps or lack of
« on: September 07, 2014, 10:54:29 AM »
                 Rec    Yds    Avg    Long    TD
Tyler Lockett    6    136    22.7    57    0
Zach Trujillo    1    32    32.0    32    0
Curry Sexton    3    21    7.0    12    0
Deante Burton    2    19    9.5    12    0
DeMarcus Robi   2    17    8.5    9
Glenn Gronko    1    8    8.0    8
Kody Cook    1    6    6.0    6    0

So no andre davis, no judah jones, and Burton dropped close to six passes. Lockett is obviously injured, he had two runs after catches that he should have burned past the defender and simply slowed up. I'm guessing a foot injury? If we aren't going to use Davis as a counterpart to Lockett then we need to use Sexton more as Burton can't catch for crap. For a team that was suppose to be a pass heavy offense this year we have one guy who can ball.

Kansas State Football / Lockett needs an insurance policy
« on: August 06, 2014, 10:08:23 AM »
Based on this article: http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/11310051/jameis-winston-insurance-policy-paid-part-florida-state. KSU should be buying Lockett a 5 million dollar policy.

Kansas State Football / 2014 Early Defensive Depth Chart
« on: May 02, 2014, 11:23:49 AM »
a projected 2014 Early Defensive Depth Chart is released by ESPN, we look stacked at Dback. We really should bump McDaniel over Schellenberg .

"DE: Ryan Mueller (Sr.), Marquel Bryant (Jr.), Laton Dowling (Sr.)

DT: Travis Britz (Jr.), Valentino Coleman (Sr.), Will Geary (RFr.)

Much like the offensive line, K-State has a veteran and productive group along the defensive front. There are still jobs left to be won, but Mueller and Britz are among the Big 12’s best at their positions and provide consistent production. Add ESPN JC 50 defensive tackle Terrell Clinkscales into the mix and this defensive line group should be a big reason to consider Kansas State a conference title contender.

LB: Jonathan Truman (Sr.), Will Davis (So.), Dakorey Johnson (Sr.), Charmeachealle Moore (Jr.)

Truman returns after breakout junior season which featured 89 tackles in 13 starts for the Wildcats. Davis appears ready to slide into the starting lineup after impressing as a redshirt freshman, while Johnson and Moore should provide solid depth at the position but will have to battle to maintain their roles with ESPN JC 50 linebacker D'Vonta Derricott arriving in the summer.

CB: Randall Evans (Sr.), Morgan Burns (Jr.), Nate Jackson (Jr.), Cre Moore (RFr.), Danzel McDaniel (Jr.), Corey Jackson (RFr.)

Burns was one of KSU’s stars of the spring and appears to have settled into the No. 1 cornerback spot. The rest of the Wildcats cornerbacks are battling for the other starting spot outside of Evans, who started 11 games as KSU’s nickelback in 2013 and is lone returning starter of the group. While KSU lost experience at corner, the Wildcats might have upgraded in terms of overall talent.

S: Dante Barnett (Jr.), Dylan Schellenberg (Sr.), Sean Newlan (RFr.), Weston Hiebert (Sr.)

Barnett is a star and one of the more underrated defenders in the Big 12, while Schellenberg got plenty of experience when Ty Zimmerman was sidelined by injury last season. Barnett is probably the only safety with a secure spot in KSU’s defensive plans, so expect the battle for playing time to continue deep into August."

Kansas State Football / I cant Imagine Marshall + Sams at QB

All in the title, why did we sign Jake Waters instead of this guy again ?

Kansas State Football / The Bitter Truth
« on: November 23, 2013, 03:58:03 PM »
The truth is, even if Waters sucked or not, we still lose this one. Our defense gave up a billion rushing yards, Truman takes horrible angles, Slaughter is irrelevant, and Shellenburg doesn't come in to blow up the run 1/millionth of the way Zimm does. Sams sits on the bench instead of being utilized to maintain top against the wind. Out-coached and played.

Kansas State Football / Players with Heart / Coaching Failure / Rambling
« on: September 25, 2013, 02:54:32 PM »
After the recent loss I can't stop thinking that we should still be 4 - 0 right now. It seems obvious that, Snyder while doing an outstanding job some seasons, can't simply allow a bunch of jumped up two and three star players to run a team solely by themselves with the inadequate coaching we've seen this season.

Snyder usually puts kids in a position to succeed, this time his inability to recruit high-end talent even in the juco ranks along with failing to adjust his game plan to better suit the tools at hand is murdering us. We need a few high caliber players like Sams to motivate us and the loss of Harper and Brown is more apparent than ever. If Waters was confident he could have easily rallied this team after the NDSU fiasco, instead he's scared shitless of Sams standing over his shoulder.

Its time to pull the plug on a lot of these guys and run some fresh faces in there, I'm tired of watching an uninspired team going through the motions and expecting to win.

Sorry for the rambling, but this season is making me sick at watching all the opportunities being wasted this season.

Kansas State Football / Does the O-line want Sams at QB

Serious question? How can our O-Line truly be that horrible, unless there is an ulterior motive?

Kansas State Football / Nate Jackson

I might be missing something but I thought this guy was suppose to be a stud cb? How is he not playing over Roberts?

Kansas State Football / Jackie Shipp

Jackie Shipp just got fired from OU, I would slaughter some innocent animals to hire him for recruiting/any coaching spot he wanted at KSU...
