'Cats should be pumped.  It's all upside for us since we're supposed to get our a$$ kicked (legend of Phag Allen, historic atmosphere, other knob-slobbing crap per ku).  I'm grateful for ku doing this, 'cause if we win, it will set the stage for a 3 game losing streak for ku and give us a share of the conference title.  That's as far as we need to look ahead right now.  There's no upside for ku in a win, and lots of downside if they lose.

apparently Sherron is giving his speech at the end of the game on Wednesday.  What happens if the khatz are up by enough to win with a minute or so left? Do the fans file the shazbot! out of there or will they stay and listen?  Will he even bother?

please don't waste space in this thread with  or  :powerespect: ...we all know its a long shot :blah:

Tell me this is a planned event...the SC post-game speech.  It has to be pre-game....

Does the concept of probability really make your head hurt that much.......OK, I've got it:  "What's the chance that Frank Martin will have the team ignore the ku intro video?"  Is that any better for you?

4029
That Frank pulls a Scott Drew and has his team ignore the ku intro video/self-glorification (pun intended)

You forgot to abort this thread.

Them's some wobbly wheels on that jayhawk cart, and Massa Seff may have some trouble keeping it between the ditches between now and the Big 12 tournament.  ku could drop games to both K-State and Mizzou to create a 3 game losing streak that closes the season.

Sorry to ask a Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) question, but how do you insert pics in your reply?  I have one that may be relevant here.

4033
OK, a-holes, quit posting pics of Jonathan Beasley--Collins won't look nearly that good, you bitches.

More like "how many times will Colon be sodomized by Aldrich without a foul being called"

4036
Hey, Billy's a bad mother fracker, and you'd better leave those double-breasted suits alone.

4037
Business is business...you've got to use your available $$ the best way you can.   Currie is doing what he can to get Frank and his coaches more money, and to keep the wheels on the AD financially.

KU Grads and quality Arch/Const are unable to exist simultaneously.

Isn't ISU second in the Big 12(to KSU) in the program that spits out folks who manage this stuff?

Answer: yep.

Why outsource to a KU grad?

OK...was it an ISU or ku grad who mastered the suspended rectangle, and the flags simultaneously blowing in opposite directions in the artist's rendering of the stadium improvements?

To me, the most impressive part of the Jack Trice renovations is going to be the floating light standard (or is it a concession window?) hovering above the upper deck.  ISU must be doing some pretty heady research into antigrav technology.

not to mention that the wind manages to blow both ways across the stadium at once

Observations about the suspended rectangle and flags blowing in opposite directions at the same time are elite observations, causing one to pay more attention to artist renderings.  Suspicious of a ku architecture grad (aka glorified draftsman) being involved here.

love that thread!

big salary for KSU assistant basketball coach = grounds for probation

big salary for NU assistant football coach = uhhh nevermind

NU fans need to STFU.  Having Carl Pelini pork the wife of a wealthy donor make his presence in Lincoln that much more embarrasing.

I hope he waits till Frank leaves so we can snatch him up.

I would take him in a heart beat if Frank left.  Heres hoping Frank stays.

That +1

How many moving screens by Aldrich that nearly break bones fail to be called at Phag Allen?

Who is our high BBIQ poster who can now tie this development to the negotiation of Frank Martin's contract.  Am I mistaken, or was the practice facility a high priority for Frank?

kelly was just off/kind of bad.  JHR gave good minutes in his place.  Colon was borderline Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) tonight, imo.  Nu wasn't even defending the post entry to colon, they were encouraging it, then laughing as they got the rebound.  thank god for dom, pulls, and heat check.  and shazbot! frank for going to that f'ing zone (not that it mattered cause we apparently can't hedge a f'ing screen for a shooter).

I normally like Colon's play, but his misses from the paint early in the game established a definite funky tone for the team overall.

The only way to win in big time college athletics is to occupy the grey areas. Anyone who can get great joy out of running a "clean" program just like their Pappy did, should do so. Most people derive joy from winning.

P.S. How pissed would we be if we shot 66% from 3pt., 58%  overall and won the rebounding battle but still lost the game?

I'd probably be forced to notice the 20+ turnovers, and the 29 points off those turnovers.

Bravo . . . Bravo . . .  :alleyoop:

I hope taking Doug Compton's money in lieu of going pro works out for Aldrich and Collins . . . well not really, but you know what I am saying.

Dumba$$ special admission player (Morris twins, not Aldrich) + desperate parents + savvy businessman booster (Compton) + head coach without moral principles = ku keeping NBA talent longer than the school deserves

ku dorm whores who specialize in the use of turkey basters are to blame.  What's a junk-rubber to do if it's there, has a pulse, and breathing?

if Frank doesn't have a contract signed by Tax Day, then by al means, break out the pitchforks and torches.  Until then, get over it.

You ever considered that since it appears a major sticking point is reported to be the practice facility, that the AD and Frank both need the continued success of this season to continue to drum up financial support to get it built?       You don't just get millions overnight...it takes months and months of coddling and handholding major donors to ensure they pledge.   Donors that maybe weren't sold on the idea last year are now on the bandwagon, but you've obviously never tried to fundraisie major cash if you think once someone's made up their mind to donate that they just open the checkbook.   Most have an egotistical side that must be stroked and placated until THEY write the check on their terms and timeline.

A credible source says that Frank wants an additional $400,000 for his contract, and modest raises for the other coaches.  Currie cancelled construction on the basketball practice facility when it became apparent that Prince Ron wiped his a$$ with Krause/Wefald, and Currie has to find money from somewhere to pay for the facility.  I think that is making everyone impatient, including Frank.  Whatever you think of Currie, he is in a bad spot.  I doubt he ha problems with salaries for Frank and assistants (whose marginal cost is not too bad), but is struggling with finding the $$$ for the practice facility (a BIG hit financially).  I can only hope he's getting creative and finding a way to get it done.

Completely inaccurate.

OK...that's the most plausible story I've come across, and it's a lot more credible than other scenarios.  If this isn't accurate, then you must know what is.  I don't think you do.

Did Aldrich fricking kill that A&M guy who had to leave the game?  With no foul?
