I had some extra time off work so me, my buddy, and Schred's Dad went out there for a week. Had never been out there in the winter so we just decided to go. Did a little ice fishing, drove over to Jackson and saw all the elk in the refuge, drove around just looking for game. It's a great time to see wildlife since they are all down low. How often do you get within 20 yards of a bachelor group of Bighorn Sheep with two legal rams in it? It was a great time.

Ran into these guys when I was out there last Feb. This is SE of Dubois. They have the largest concentration of Bighorn sheep in N America there.

Here are a couple from Wind River Lake. It is a small lake that sits on the continental divide at Togwotee Pass. The Wind River starts here. Good Cutthroat fishing and a few Rainbows.

Mrs Schreds loves to ride horses so we usually spend a day on a trail ride. It's not too bad because we usually ride in remote areas that you can't access by vehicle. Absolutely love it up there. If I was smart enough to use the pak head on faces, I would post some pics.Will be making my annual Wyoming quest in less than a month. Can't wait!
Whereabouts do you go schreds21? What do you do?

« on: June 10, 2016, 06:56:17 AM »The thing that persistently gets lost in all of this conference hand holding and equal sharing is, that not matter who much more money each school gets, the income inequality between the top and the bottom of each conference (from a total revenue perspective) is not going to change. In the SEC for example, Ole' Miss and Miss State are likely never going to significantly close the tens upon tens of millions of dollars gap between them and the top revenue schools in the SEC.Don't forget endowment championships, Dax. They are really important too.
K-State isn't going to likely ever close the gap between itself and Texas (and for you KU lurkers, KU isn't going to either). So no matter what, the top revenue schools are going to hold on to their financial lordship over the lessor revenue schools in each conference forever. That's why I laugh when I read the arguments from fans at certain schools who say that in five or ten years they'll make X amount more then they made in the Big 12. In reality, it likely won't make a damn bit a difference in the schools competitive position, and frankly moving conferences could weaken the competitive position substantially even though the school makes more money. I guess they could start handing out total revenue national championships and conference championships.

Everyone is driving Range Rovers, Escalades, BMW's, Porsche, a couple of Teslas and Jags, and I drive up in my crap show with 125,000 miles.
I enjoy judging you when I pull up.
Then, I'll drive the new Odyssey when I know you are going to be around. That is really impressive. Sometimes the kids will say, "take Mom's van because my friend XXXXXX is going home with us and your Pacifica is embarrassing."
I am dobber in this situation, except that my vehicle is even older and crappier. my kids are old enough that they are now both embarrassed by it and everyone wants me to get a new vehicle. guess what though? not happening! jokes on them.
