2 things. 

1.  Stars don't matter folks can eat a big dick.

2.  Our defense could be terrifyingly terrible next year.

Our defense was terrible last year and we went to the Cotton Bowl. We started a 2 star safety at LB (who's now in the league) two lightly regarded former qbs at safety, some jucos at CB, etc, etc. AB was a fantastic player but losing him isn't going to make that huge of a difference.

Who is our best option to replace him? Moore? Slaughter? It's a very big loss.

You just can't replace an Arthur Brown.

Ya but look at what Iceland did during the bust.  They socialized the banks and defaulted on debts owed to foreign parties.  Doing well now. 

They're doing better than Ireland, who requested a bailout from the EU

All three island nations had a run of rapid growth as banking havens that left them with banking systems that were too big to save. Iceland, at peak, had banks with assets that were 980 percent of GDP, more than 10 times the US number; Ireland was at 440 percent. Cyprus, at around 800 percent, was closer to Iceland in this respect.
