I like what I am hearing about our new S&L guys . . . hopefully it will weed out as Fatty likes to say the guys who don't want to work hard.   

That could make a difference between no bowl and the Texas Bowl.

The Overall #1 seed doesn't lose to a team like UNI, a team that in the next game got worked by a team that did not posses the same talent that ku had.

It was a monumental choke by the overall #1 seed in the NCAA tourney and no amount of Ben Jedi Obfuscation is going to change that reality.

If ku does well in the NCAA but doesn't win the Big 12, the NCAA tourney is way more important.

If ku wins the Big 12, but chokes in the NCAA tourney, than winning the Big 12 is huge, and nobody did anything in the NCAA tourney besides the National Champion.

Stay tuned . . . it can change again at any second.

A buddy of mine (ku fan) tried to diminish the Duke NC by saying that Duke didnt deserve it because they only beat a mid major in the CG.  I asked him if he thought KU was better than Duke, to which he quickly replied:  "Hell yes."  I then asked him why ku couldnt beat a mid major.  This logic really pissed him off.

Please don't taunt children.

Plus I should have said 2002.   I guess beating USC cost us that ballgame at CU.

Plus, what part of we don't need to play Oregon AND Miami in the same year don't you understand??

But there's no reason or excuse to drop them both from the schedule entirely . . . as I said.

Now, if you're prepared to personally increase your Ahearn fund donation by $10K, and all the other "we shouldn't play anybody that might be good in the OOC" types are willing to increase their donation by $10K a year . . .  than sure we could probably fill up our schedules with cream puffs looking for $5-$600K plus pay days.

Really?  So everybody else we play is doesn't block or tackle or hit anyone??  Nobody else besides Miami or Oregon is capable of rolling up on a key players ankle?? 

While I agree it may be a bit much to have Oregon and Miami on the schedule in the same year.   There's absolutely no reason/excuse to drop those games entirely . . . none.   

K-State can't afford to pay $900K to chowder puff U like Michigan or Tennessee can.   Play the games!!

On a personal note, I'm happy for X.  Can't imagine the hell he's been put through by Self.  X is definitely a strong person to get out of the plantation at such a young age.

I'll list my facilities stuff, and since we live in not the greatest economic times, I have eliminated things like more suites at the football stadium and a 2nd stadium club.   

1.  Get basketball practice facility built.

2.  Get a new updated Videoboard/scoreboard for Bramlage and LED Ribbon Boards at least in all 4 corners.   

3.  Realizing that a complete overhaul of the Bramlage Concourses likely isn't doable, at least a refresh. 

4.  Install a new version of FieldTurf in the Football Stadium and replace the steel railing around the field with a limestone wall.

5.  Either reconfigure the North End Video board so the video screen is larger . . . and don't give me that powerespect "wind loading" crap, the old speakers up there add thousands of pounds of weight and wind grabbing profile and those things aren't even being used anymore . . . that could all come out.    Or . . . take it down entirely and put in 2 larger video boards in Northwest and Northeast Corners of the Stadium. 

6.  Remodel the West Concourse of the football stadium. 

7.  Expand Vanier adding more space to the weight room, dressing room and adding a training table. 

8.  Build new football practice facility and new football indoor facility across the street from the Stadium.

I think our O-Line could be one of the better ones in the Big 12.  Toss in a 6-8 280lb tight end up front blocking and they could be quite formidable.

4 in 20 years isn't as good as 3 in almost 60 IMO. Plus it's mostly K, while at Kansas, 3 different coaches have won it all.
