People have gone to jail?

That said, these people aren't getting a wholesale campaign at the DOJ to keep them out of jail. Just don't have the right connections and no tarmac meetings.

i have a hard time imagining worldwide conflagration and genocide as farce, but what fun is life if you can see it coming.

People like the SysBot prefer their world destruction in a more sysystemic and hegemonic absentee fashion.

For example the needless overthrow of the Libyan government and then exiting the scene while exiting the Libyan army's weapons to Syria.   Turning that nation over to feuding sects and reintroducing the slave trade.

Speaking of Syria, the SysBots of the world just wring their hands and say things like, "Gosh, the Obama administration just misread Arab Spring."   You know, about the same thing as getting a bad stock tip.  But instead of losing the latest quartley bonus money, 700K people have died and millions more get displaced.

Then there's ensuring places like Venezuela fall apart, and supporting terrible regimes in Central America forcing an exodus to the North of thousands.

That's kind of well ordered world destruction SysBot and ProgLibs prefer.

The right has embraced the Russian state they spent decades and decades complaining about

Meanwhile 30,000 NATO troops with a huge US presence train on the Russian border, the US is trying to thwart Russian client state Iran at every turn, and NATO as a whole is spending more on defense.

Journalists: the russia COLUSION is in plain sight, it's just so vast and complicated we can't articulate it.

. . . not to mention the utter brilliance of the Trump campaign to make it all the way to the White House while "clearly" colluding with the Russians to fix the election, all-the-while being monitored by the most expensive intelligence and homeland security complex in the world during the entire campaign/election process.

The russia COLUSION will be the final nail in the coffin for the credibility of the msm (and the Federal law enforcement). Sadly, the result will be people siloing off into politicized echo chambers and the mass public will be more misinformed than ever.

The other fascinating thing is, the New NeoCons, now so compliant with the intelligence-security complex.   That they just can't even entertain the possible notion that the intelligence-security complex may have acted inappropriately (okay, illegally) in this process.

There's simply no way that this could have been an influence operation so as to force it into the "national security" domain and thus behind a veil of secrecy that doesn't have to be fully answered to (as we're finding out) . . . in the eyes of the New NeoCons.    Their only problem is, the players just can't seem to get their stories or their timelines straight, and one of them is likely going to be criminally prosecuted.

It's my favorite bbs'n when dax and fsd groupthink back and forth.

You really have to admire Trump, despite all the spies er . . . informants, FISA warrants etc. etc.  The guy still made it to the Oval Office.

Greatest foreign intelligence operation in the world . . . ever?

Actual problem: there's no direct evidence or even substantive circumstantial evidence of COLUSION, but we want it so bad to be true that we'll literally take any remote derivative connection to russia and fictionalize why it could be COLUSION.  We're so blinded by our hatred of trump that we're inadvertently (or purposefully) fostering a federal police state.

Stockholm syndrome?

The migration from having an absolute meltdown about the Patriot Act 12 or so years ago, to full fledged complicity with surveillance nation (as long as it's directed at conservatives) has been a fascinating study.

Yes, Phil, I'm sure the goal is to completely flip-flop the $150 billion annual trade deficit with the Euro's.

Nixon enjoyed 80% approval from the daxbots while whining about witch hunts as well.

LOL,  I've fully admitted about 100 times that Trump could have colluded with the Russians to fix the elections.

But I'm sorry if you don't see the LOL'ability of this notion on the backdrop of all the LibBots thinking the guy is a complete idiot.   As I keep saying, what you're essentially purporting is that Donald Trump outsmarted the entirety of the most expensive security and intelligence complex in the world, to become President of the United States.  If so, it's not only an embarrassment for the previous administration, it's the greatest dereliction of duty in the history of our country, literally failing at the very crux of their oath of office.

Didn't dax admit yesterday that he thinks nixon didn't do anything wrong?

That's our sonoflawandorder!

I said the exact opposite in fact.  I said there's "not a chance" that I think Nixon didn't do anything wrong.

You're so freaking weird.

It's the bitter old bad person that isn't a good look bud. Just trying to help you out.

Well it's just a shame you've been triggered and gone full douchebag, but it's not surprising.  You do this from time-to-time.

Let's check in to see what Nixon White House lawyer John Dean thinks about all this.

https://twitter.com/JohnWDean/status/1004796349454274560

Anyone comparing the two situations on such superficial levels is absolutely out of their mind insane.   The differences are massive in scale.

For starters, Nixon controlled the Executive Branch.   Now the opposition controlled the Executive Branch.    The opposition had the full weight of post 911 surveillance nation at their disposal and they used it.   They used the FISA (which in it's post 911 form didn't exist in the Nixon era) court on the back of opposition research done by the opposing party in a presidential election.  Opposition research conducted by foreign nationals using foreign sources.

You're a weird dude man  :dunno:

So are you.

Seems strange that anyone would say that a person calling for diplomacy and good will between nations is, "not a good look".  But you somehow managed to do it.

So that's a no to ever getting tired of being a bitter old bad person?

So the resident Too Cool for Schooler is gonna get all pissed off now?

Weird change of pace, even for you Lib.

Do you ever get tired of being a bitter old bad person? I assume not, but it looks exhausting to an outsider.

You seem triggered.

It's just LOL'able thinking about the 180 the ProgLib Movement has done in regards to their ideals simply because you hate Trump so much.

You've sold to The Man you used to hate, Lib.  That's on you, not me.

Not a good look dax, not a good look at all.  :frown:

No need to chime in LibBot Sellout, your gang is gunning for conflict, we all know that.

Just think if all the countries where the United States has overthrown the government, invaded them, and constantly meddled in their affairs decided that they didn't want to deal with the United States anymore.   We'd be so on-ry.

Was Russia ever in the G7?

Why is our top hat in the G7, their GDP is barely bigger than Russia's and is 10th in the world.

Oh hey, Greece gets a seat through the EU, think of all those nuclear weapons Greece has . . .

Italy as well, hey have to have your debt restructured, but get a seat at the G7 through the EU, fantastic!  World player that Italy.

Is sub 2% quarterly GDP is growth is humming, then LibBot has a point.
You are smarter than this.

7 plus % unemployment, just accept, it's the new normal.

Definitely rooting against Trump here.

https://twitter.com/vmsalama/status/1004882521455255558

Absolutely

Now they're concerned about U.S. hegemony?   Where were these guys for the previous 16 years?    The same administration that wants to pull out of places like Syria?

These people cannot be taken seriously at this point (particularly you chum).

Not sure what all you're talking about there. I mostly just think that Trump is acting like a dick.

Then just say so, and don't post idiotic tweets about Euro leaders bitching about U.S. hegemony.   All they had to do is come to the table and talk, that's not the same as, oh, unilateral regime change of a sovereign government.
Daxcuses again for Trump. It's cute

There’s an excuse in there?  Weird take.

You’re in LibBot 3.0 mode, Phil.

"all they had to do is come to the table and talk"

Blaming others isn't an excuse? Weird.

It's a fact, not an excuse.

The Euro's are freaking out because it's been a one sided affair since forever.   Asking for Fair Trade is not Hegemony.
