Damn, does suck that that is how it ends, but, he was getting close. Helluva career, and tons of fun memories. He's earned it.

All those games are good. King of Tokyo is pretty fun too.

As for card based games, any of the fluxx's (there are tons of them with themes) are good, as is exploding kittens. Both are fairly simple and fun.

What research would one need to do about the "trained marxists" admission that would quell any concerns an otherwise well-meaning person would have about the Black Lives Matter org?  I've done a little research and, as i recall, it seemed pretty unapologetic -- also explains all the cringe "comrade" verbiage they use/used.  I think it's valid to be concerned that K-State may be tacitly supporting an organization that is run by self-described "trained marxists" -- even if I don't think that's what K-State meant or is actually doing.

what does "trained Marxist" mean to you? How have the organizers' actions and/or platforms shown you that they are "trained Marxists" as you define it?
i think the obvious meaning is that the professed leaders/founders believe in the tenets of marxism and consider themselves trained in pursuing marx's goals.

i haven't been following the movement very closely, so i don't know the answer to your second question.  but i think it's reasonable to be suspicious of an organization that was founded by people who profess to be marxists, just as i would be if they professed to be nazis -- regardless of whether i was aware of any actions on their part enacting their professed beliefs.

We should be suspicious of NASA and hell the Constitution then, those nazis and slave holders. SMDH
i think if you were aware that nasa had a bunch of nazis in it then it's completely reasonable to be suspicious.  don't you?

I would be suspicious as to why they got their asses whipped by marxists for the better half a decade, why else bring em back, master race my ass

The issue boils down to the messaging of god forbid we treat certain people based on race with respect getting bogged down with certain inclinations of people who started the idea, without any sort of mass BLM underground network, just like "antifa"

It's a pure scare tactic, and one that if you ask the myriad of people who live around me with black hearts, and BLM signs in their yards that "DID YOU KNOW YOU ARE ACTUALLY SUPPORTING MARXISTS!?" while sitting in their PV and Leawood mansions, it's a chuckle at the ridiculousness of what is trying to be done. It's all there to once again subjugate the god forbid treating certain people based on race with respect tenement what people really want out of this. It becomes muddled because racists and grifters made it muddled.

It's racist at worst, and dishonest at best trying to shout it down. Ask yourself honestly, if the idea of "black lives matter" came divorced of any origin stories, hell let's say a WASPy ass person started, would it change how you feel about the true message it's trying to say? If it doesn't, there you go.

It's not a coincidence that the Qs who have won these primaries are younger women.

Yes, they have a certain, fox new anchor quality about them. Can't quite pick out the pattern but there seems to be a theme.

If Drumpf loses, how likely is it that Fox News still gives him an outlet to talk?

And if the chances are over 90%, what are the chances he uses this platform to tell his supporters they should riot or do something of the like?

I'd say the odds round to 100% for both.

I'd put the odds of him creating Drumpf News or buying OANN at or better than 50%.

Wasn't that his plan (trump news) in 2016 if he had lost?

buncha dolts ITT talking about pillows when really your attention needs to be focused on mattress technology. like a slot for side sleepers to put your arm. this is just one of, i dunno...over a thousand examples i could roll out for improvements in mattresses??

but hey keep focusing on treating the symptoms rather than fixing the problem. wake up sheeple.

What happened to Jarcadia Wright?
Doesn't matter, the Deuce is loose.

I loved Deuce this game, but we need a Wright or hell Trotter to be our 1-3 yard guys. Using Duece to run between tackles is very loller to me. Love the kid, but being 5'5" and 165 isn't going to cut it.

What does the United States look like on September 22nd, 2020:

* Did you get it?
Probably, would be more surprised at that point to not have gotten it
* What sports are being planned in what configuration (no fans, etc)
Pro more or less back to normal but not fans, NCAA tries but it's ultimately delayed
* Are all/some schools back in person session
Split, some states yes, some states no
* Is your work experience back to fairly normal?
We try and go back, but some rolling bouts make it be still tenuous. Lots of testing just to get in the door for everyone
* What did your summer travel end up being?  Take a flight?
Well have/had a trip planned to Italy about the time this is supposed to come to fruition. I don't expect Italy to allow us to go, nor would we take the chance. It gets pushed to 2021. Small road trips to more desolate areas around KS/MO taken
* Do you have any plans to travel the rest of 2020?
Other than work, probably not, and work continues to do road trips as much as possible.
* How many US deaths?
225k
* Do we have a national plan of action for tracing, quarantining any flareups?
In some states yes, but lol at getting anything done on a national level
* Any major political changes?
Giant fight over mail in voting that ultimately goes no where. Most people distraught over voting in November, nothing major really happens to that point
* Where are we on a vaccine? antibody test? infection test?
Vaccine still a few months out but a several trials underway, antibody testing fairly widespread as is infection testing
* Is there some sort of "miracle" therapeutic in action knocking down how impactful this is?
Probably not, would be more surprised if something comes up than not. I think more hospitals are able to handle some of the waves but it's a very busy and disheartening group of hospital workers at that point
* Have your favorite restaurants went out of business?
As long as Homer's coffee, the peanut, and jack stack are there, I'm good
* Have you went back to your gym?
Gym is at work, so see work answer, but I continue to do pull ups, push ups, dips, and running to keep in decent shape
* Where are you at with personal gatherings?  Unlimited?  Only low risk people?
We go through fits of groups and not, personal gatherings stay very limited, even if you can go bigger, lots of people still in general either worried/not in a take risk mode, but more willing in general to get out and about

Still a week off, but literally everything there happened, except me getting it (still have week to see if I come down with it!), and testing at work (though we have antibody).

Anyone who’s convinced themselves that Pelosi is a adequate human being/politician, should take it straight to the “libs losing their goddamn minds over Drumpf” thread. You just like her at this point because she opposes Drumpf. She’s still really shitty overall and you know this.

Yeah she sucks but it was funny the way she made cramer look like a total spineless worm.

What is it about her you dislike the most?

That isn't particularly hard to do but I understand, IMO what Jon Stewart did to him like 11 years ago still hasn't been recoverable for him. Same goes for Tucker for that matter but he definitely failed up so there ya go

the thing that sticks with me the most was how badly we would have gotten slaughtered if not for their dumb mistakes. i mean, you take away the blocked punt, the fumble when its like 2nd and goal, and most crucially when it was 2nd and california and sky throws it away so its going to be 3rd and 33 but the ASU guy is like "lmao this is boring" and decides to get a roughing the passer. I mean seriously we should have lost by 3 scores. if you look at all the other stats besides the score, you would have thought we lost by 3 scores.

We also had like 2 sure TDs dropped, and if Sky had been accurate on a few others maybe a few more. The place we got outplayed was on the line, which is obv important, but we weren't crushed, or were going to be crushed by 3 scores. You could tell this once we got plays in the open. They had dumb mistakes, but we had plenty too.

i hope you're right. but this did not feel like UMass or EKU or LA Tech games of yore where snyder refused to open the playbook and then finally at the end they did just enough to get the W. We looked overmatched across the board, with the exception of the deep ball where we just dropped a few but big12 defenses will shut that down in a hurry. I want to be wrong but this feels like a 4 win season with a lot of games not being even remotely competitive. and i'm not trying to catzacker it up or anything i mean we just really looked that un-good.

Eh, we were up 21-7 and looked fine, it was more like to me we got too cute and really didn't play our hand well (o line being meh as previously discussed). I didn't think we look overmatched, it looked more like 2011 k-state where instead of us being us, we were the other team we eeked the win out against. They exploited our weaknesses, and we just acted like we could bully them and it didn't work.

I also said it a bit earlier ITT but our offensive plan was pretty trash, Messingham (I get it's exciting and it could work) has us throw the ball vertically way too much, especially early, and early in a game with a super green o-line, is a bad recipe for when it doesn't work. We needed a better plan to get the offense into a groove with some easy plays, and then go big. Probably too much my opinion but the results in this game seem to speak for themselves, we got out of sync and stayed there until we finally went to the edges and did more sweeps and bubble screens and quick slants.

The peloton bike+ looks cool but I just couldn't throw down that amount of $$$.

I did do the push ups like willie does during the football game Saturday as an extra workout, so 101 pushups over the course of the game, so that was good  not so much for the outcome though  :frown:

Yeah, he's going to be playing on Sunday somewhere.

Best 40 time I could find right now is 4.50

I'm sure it was a combination of people too drunk to know what was going on, thinking they were just booing the Texans, and people who support police brutality.

Yeah, a lot of lack of self awareness, which goes with the too drunk and police people (not saying those are the same, everyone should be smashed for football games)
