Essentially Flyertalk / Google TV
« on: December 27, 2010, 06:12:04 PM »
Pretty meh about it right now. Hopefully once the app store is up it will become cooler. Works great for Netflix/other video sites (minus Hulu).

It's complete crap for trying to browse the internet though. Horrible implementation of trying to used a regular computer browser for viewing from a distance. Haven't dug deep enough to see if there's a way to adjust the default font setting for websites yet, but it appears Google believes everyone sits as close to their TV as they do a computer monitor.

Read the probable cause affidavit.

The affidavit goes on to say Watson refused to take a blood or breath test, telling the officers, "I ain't taking no ------- tests.  I'm ------- drunk. I'm blind anyways and I can't drive."

To refute the tardville logic that KU stopped the 1-dimensional GT so they will easily stop K-State. K-State's passing ypg is nearly double GT's. Oh, and KU shut down GT's run defense to the tune of 5.6 ypc.

It's going to suck so rough ridin' bad when we lose Thursday.

Kansas State Football / Top 50 Loudest Stadiums

No. 44: LHC Bill Snyder Family Football Stadium isn't one of the loudest stadiums, but the 50,000-seat venue can rock some pretty good noise for a Big 12 game, especially if it's the Kansas Jawhawks that are coming to town.

Kansas State Football / LFBIQ ?
« on: September 27, 2010, 10:25:07 PM »
Would it make any sense to use a 4-3 front against Nebraska, moving Lamur up to one of the LB positions to spy Martinez? This would still allow for two corners and safeties while giving is a more athletic presence at LB.

At least it would be something different than watching a running quarterback go off for 200 yards.  :dunno:

Kansas State Football / First experience on the west side
« on: September 25, 2010, 05:58:50 PM »
Overall experience:  :flush:

Incredibly elite seats, 47-yard line midway up. Incredibly  :powerespect: fans. Guy behind me didn't understand how UCF could challenge the spot of the ball (He was also sure the whistle blew before Thomas fumbled).

Touched Frank Martin in OOD during the delay :bball:

Too much sitting, had to choke out a 90-year-old lady behind me for bitching about my standing.

There are some rumblings about CCQ not being THE guy this year.

Also rumblings that KSTATEO needs to prepare better for NU so we can win the conference.

Biggest  :surprised: was the complete lack of  :opcat:

Hypothetical.......KSU in Big East Post Rating (1 vote)
Would it be better, or say, would you like it if KSU was in a different conference like the Big East??  Sorta like Iowa is in the Big 10 and ISU is in the Big 12, both BCS conferences but it allows one school to shine a little more then the other.

KU and KSU could still play every year in OOC play.

Kansas State Football / Is UCLA really that slow?
« on: September 06, 2010, 10:23:03 AM »
Or has K-State been that slow for the last five years? Just got done watching the game for a third time. One thing that stood out to me on the defensive side was how quickly they were closing on the ball. Notably our corners on the bubble passes and being able to come up in run support off tackle.

By no means was it a mob worthy effort, and there's still some pretty soft spots there. Pretty sure if a team wants to just run five wide and we don't have a nickel or dime package in there our linebackers will be picked on nonstop (see play one of the two-play drive). If a team doesn't want to go to that trouble, just run a crossing pattern at Hartman.

Never thought I'd be so happy to have a mediocre defense.

Or, more specifically, what does everyone do for al living. I already know SD makes mad money with goEMAW, though he spends a disproportionate amount on settling lawsuits with credit card miles.

I'm part of the vast left-wing conspiracy to turn American into a socialist country. Or an editor at a small daily in Kansas. Whatever you prefer.

Personally, I'm partial to psych. Something about lifting someone's spirits up before immediately crushing them with one word is nice.
