I would like to be considered for the committee. If there are no spots available my vote is #teambruce then #gottlieb4ksu or whatever.

it's either #pearl4ksu or #gottlieb4ksu

I want oscar Pearl.  So whatever scenario makes getting him more realistic (even though by nature it will be inherently unrealistic) is what I'm down for.  I'd imagine we'll have to atleast suffer through next year.  And more than likely 2 more years.  Aug 23, 2014 is the date his probation or whatever is over.

can we announce his hire before that date?  we could hire his assistants to begin recruiting in the Spring of 2014 and say Pearl will be hired in August.

After many many years of both accomplishing absolutely nothing it has gotten to the point where I know longer care or will waste time or money to support their product.

kstate hoops accomplished more over the last 6 years than the chiefs and royals combined in the last 20.

the ACC agreed to a ridiculous $50 million buy out but would not touch a GOR.  why?  because they believe a GOR is a more powerful agreement when it comes to binding members together?

Rusty, no one will care.  Seriously.  They don’t and won’t care.  The teams that won’t play each other will stay up there.  They won’t be penalized.  At all.  Here’s what’s going to happen.  I’m going to give you next year’s starting top 10 (in the coaches poll):

1 ND
2 Florida
3 Alabama
4 Oregon
5 Georgia
6 USC
7 A&M
8 Stanford
9 OU
10 LSU

Go look at A&M’ shedule next year.  I mean, they have Alabama at home early, then @ LSU at the end.  That’s it.  No Florida, Georgia or SC
Go look at Alabama’s schedule next year.  @ A&M in the beginning and LSU  at home towards the end.  That’s it.  No Florida, Georgia or SC

It will be harder and harder for people to NOT notice next year.

meh.  they won't be penalized for it.  not in the preseason polls, not in the harris poll.  people will notice, sure.  but they won't care. And as for the computers, because of the imbalance in the schedules, they espeically won't be penalized for it because they'll play (and beat) some rummy or multiple rummies in their league that will face those other teams, thus, everyone's SOS will be enhanced.

next year is the last year any of that will matter.  hopefully the Big 12 is well represented in the "selection committee" for the upcoming playoff.

or ... (i know this idea has been floated here) ... like the SEC set it up for multiple natty contenders.

  • add FSU or any other team as #11
  • play 8 game conference schedule
  • allows for multiple undefeateds/1-loss teams
  • multiple teams in BCS/Playoff

A la carte isn't going to happen. It makes no financial sense for anyone, including the consumer. Consumers just need to STFU because they're a bunch of retards that have no idea what they're talking about.

Why?

i'm basically ordering a la carte now w/ Amazon Instant, Netflix, Hulu, ESPN3, thefirstrow.eu.  it's good for me.

protect two games for each school

what does that mean?

Guy on twitter yesterday RT'ed some Maryland dood saying that Maryland is very confident that the $50M buyout wouldn't hold up in court.

did Maryland vote yes?

i guess not.  either way it doesn't matter.  no one is going to have to pay $50MM to get out.
