Also a basketball school

I went to the KU game that year.  It was halloween and very rainy!

I made a sign that just had a big "bubble letter" number 7 on it written in purple marker.  I didn't bother to fill it in all the way, but just did like zig zags on the inside.  I'm sure from a distance of more than 10 feet it just looked like a white sign.

Was also at rainy Halloween game @ KU! That's pretty much all I remember  :billdance:

Yeah I'd still take him. Not anybody's first choice, but wouldn't surprise me if he's preferable to whoever gets hired when Bill goes again.

Maybe a series of life-size statues placed all around Manhattan with various poses?

Mine was in middle school, when KU fan (Benedictine alum) and vice principal Kerry Brungardt was such an bad person to an 8th grader over the result of a KU/K-State game.  Before that I couldn't have given two shits about either school.

very discouraging game for sure.  i stopped watching at 28-0.  i can't imagine why anyone would want to subject themselves to watching the last 2.5 quarters of that game.

I was watching to see if the not-getting-shutout streak lived  :flush:

I guess I should have joined the chat. I don't think I'm very good though.

Doesn't stop me, and I'm definitely way worse  :driving:

Kind of like when you get a gift card on Christmas to a place you don't really like to shop, but it was from a relative you weren't expecting much from so it's like you didn't really miss out on much. You keep it, but you aren't thrilled to have it.

Mustaine is a nut and seems like a major douche, but I don't see why that's relevant. Oh well, your list

Since I don't think it was mentioned yet, I'll submit that Megadeth's Rust in Peace is top 10 material and is really solid top to bottom. Marty Friedman really elevated that band, as did Mustaine getting clean for the recording process.

The bass that's there is following the riffs so you can't pick it out at all. Apparently Cliff had the parts for it down mentally so Jason just had to kind of come in and throw something together since there was no recording of it. Would love to hear how it could have sounded.

Thanks, Dlew. I'd given up for a bit and just gone with the "e" version as a default.

These KU greys might look good without the bright blue pants and helmets

I think it's the combination of the blue and red that makes the greys feel off. Just blue or just red with grey probably looks pretty good.

While I disagree with your opinion, I respect it. Personally, while Blackened is probably my favorite Metallica song, I find Justice to be less complete than a top 10 album should be. I think Ride the Lightning has a stronger case.

Generally I don't like top 10 metal lists unless they're sub-genre specific. Are you analyzing albums in terms of how they hold up today? Are you giving consideration to the influence they had on future bands/albums? Either way, it's really hard to say album x is "better" than album y. Then you have fans, specifically of metal, who have issues with whether or not album z is even metal in the first place, due to there not being a clear line between metal and hard rock or whatever.

Most top 10 all time lists are full of Sabbath, Maiden, Priest, Slayer, and Metallica, with multiple albums from these bands in the top 10/15, which just seems masturbatory to me. Yeah, those bands made some great and influential music, but really, did any of their albums do anything earth-shattering that their other albums didn't touch on? Definitely needs to be a rule for not including the same band more than once unless you can point to two or more of their albums and see them as being truly unique.

Quite the task you've put upon yourself, Metalhead  :runaway:

Did you hear when Stan said basically "West Virginia played stupid on D, the Cats are the 1st team with a brain Baylor has faced."

This team is a lot of things, but it ain't smart.

The implication is being sound in our schemes, and I think that is potentially true. Hayes has been a solid DC and only once has an opponent scored more than their season PPG average against us. Of course, that was last year's Baylor team. On average teams score nearly 12 points less than their average PPG against Hayes led defenses at K-State.

How many snaps are they getting compared to their average? Not to say Hayes hasn't done a good job, but ball control has to be affecting that as much as the defense, no?

Doesn't account for pace of play.  Kind of think it was tongue in cheek when he posted it.
Makes sense. I should have thought more about it before I entered a HFBIQ conversation with _Fan   :shy:
