Done.  Count on at least two wins in the dance this year.

I'm so happy with this win tonight...but I don't think I'm happier for anyone than Coach Weber.  I know there were many not happy with his hire, but I think he's accomplished more in 1.5 years than anyone could have expected.  Let's enjoy tonite, not get down on him when a bad loss happens (happens to every program), and enjoy the future together.  This program is headed for great things and let's be thankful for what Coach Weber and his staff have set this program up to accomplish.

Don't you mean "when we win"? :ksu:

Don't think we got the shitty Illinois oscar.... We got FLOOR BURN U SUI oscar. Fells good fellas.

When oscar Weber and Chris Lowery are together, good things happen.  Unfortunately, Chris will get another chance to be a head coach sometime soon and the hire of a new assistant at that time will be crucial.

After a little bit of a rough start, this coaching staff has done a great job of getting this team on track to contend for a conference championship.  Many teams would continue to suffer for a full season or more when a star player transfers out....but this group of kids has become cohesive and plays good team basketball.  oscar Weber, Chris Lowery, and the rest of the staff are doing exactly what they have been asked to do....get maximum performance out of everyone on the roster and keep this team a contender for a Big 12 championship.  The improvement in 2 months has been amazing and I can't wait for March.  We will make some noise in the postseason and this season will be one to remember.  Go Wildcats! :Woot: :ksu:

Great group of kids!  Great leadership by Coaches Weber and Lowery!

First Place all alone in the conference!

Now, lets take care of Kansas on Monday night and work our way towards a top seed in the Big Dance!

Wahoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!

It's been a learning curve as this pair of coaches adjusted to a new team during the initial months of the season.  However, this dynamic duo is ready to perform some magic together just as they did at SIU and Illinois.  Tonight's win is just the beginning and I feel a season of magic ahead the remaining months.  Congrats to oscar, Chris, and all the players.  Fantastic job of preparing and great execution lead to a key win!

If the players don't want to stay after meeting Weber and Lowery, than the program is better off without them.  The coaching staff is here to take this program to new heights.  Either the players buy into the "Floorburn U" mentality desired by our leaders or we'll get others who will do so.

that was an awful first post and your saluki mascot is rough ridin' ugly.

That wasn't my first post (it was my second) and the Saluki mascot is one of the best in the country.

Do you really think its beneficial to have players around who are not going to buy into the system?  SIU had this problem a few years ago and are still recovering.  A program needs players to buy into the coaching staff or its a recipe for disaster.

Now, I believe these players will become big believers in oscar and Chris after meeting them....but if they don't, KSU basketball would be better served by saying sayonara.

Congratulations KSU on putting one of this century's top college basketball coaching tandems back together again!  It's true that oscar Weber has struggled a bit in recent seasons, but his record with CLo as an assistant (at both SIU and UofI) is spectacular.

Anyone who is not on board with these hires seriously needs to research both these professionals just a little bit more.  Chris will likely be gone to coach a top 25 program of his own within 5 seasons, but the Wildcats will be a national title contender every year until that time.

I'll be following your program closely and hope to make a few games myself during the years ahead.  I also plan to contribute financially to KSU athletics as I'm done making donations to the SIU program after the senseless dismissal of Chris after this past season.

Enjoy the ride my friends.  I have a strong feeling that this hire of former SIU coaches will work out even better than the last time KSU grabbed a Saluki to lead their basketball program.
