I had a good time hanging out with Marcus Fuller this year. He's the Mpls beat writer who covers the Gophers.  He cracked a lot of jokes about the $170 million we spent on the renovation. The basic theme was "where?"
is assembly hall as gross as it appears on tv and in pictures?  i mean, it's just disgusting appearing but who knows, maybe not?

Oh, sorry.
When?
It's in this one, at 2:26

Monday, a little after 1 p.m.

I asked Brad if he was aware of your #BringBackBrad campaign.  He said yes. Just not in this video. (Keep scrolling.)

Yep. Our ex-ex AD tried this strategy. We lost Self and got stuck with Weber.
the lesson people should take from this is that it's stupid to try to underpay coaches.

31
Maybe your crazy red state legislature could criminalize Currie's actions, extradite him, and flog him publicly.

Or do you guys do red-hot pokers up the gastrointestinals? That would be even better. Letting OSU hire Brad should be punished criminally.

32
We do have a lot of crazy people 'round these parts.

You are right.
I cannot recall oscar Weber ever taking ownership of a mistake/failure/etc.

I'm surprised Kellis took him at his word about the players choosing not to speak to the media.

Weber forbade them from contact after this game, too:

I linked that column here on the day Currie hired him. It's still apt today. If you could passive-aggressive your way into championships, Brooth would be undefeated.

You know when it isn't,  though?

When you're handed a stocked program and ride on the strength of its full cupboard , never bothering to restock before the cupboard and in fact all the kitchen cabinets and the house come crashing down.

And then someone else gives you a whole new, stocked kitchen.

Give Crean credit for rebuilding from ashes. It's what you're going to need.

I remember driving to Manhattan KS a few times, but don't remember whether you have information superhighways out there.
Indiana was decent the year before he took over so not sure why first year was so shitty.
Do you know about The Google?

38
Why do you always have your response above quoted posts?

What do you mean?

I have access to a lot of pictures of interesting chairs. Would that suffice?
Try anyway

I've never encountered him anywhere but here.

rob mccolley, can you find mr. bread and tell him to stop by or at least wish him a merry christmas for us?

From last night's Illinois-Missouri game in St. Louis.

Well, I was in Montreal when his '07-'08 team took McGill to overtime.

Also, can someone fact-check this?

Quote
"I’ve been very fortunate to make 10, 11, 12 trips in my long journey through coaching, and I would bet in 75 percent or more we maybe won the league or definitely had a successful season,” Weber said.

And I was at Conseco Fieldhouse a few months later, when they lost their 19th game, still the record in Illini history.

I didn't go to Italy in the summer of 2011, but I was back in Indy for his one-and-done at the big 10 Tourney, the final game of his Illinois tenure, and he knew it. I remember asking Myron Medcalf after the final locker room availability "was he crying?"

Medcalf confirmed.

For those who didn't know, that picture was taken within 45 minutes of his final presser.

My monitor might be set too bright.  That pic is not only gross, but it hurts my eyes.

In turn,  I like it that you Emaws have been so emotionally abused about your ex-basketball program that some of you don't even know the names of your three assistants.

i enjoy that i still don't know which coach we lost. only that hot rod or tx is generally part of the search. alvin brooks?? i'm really not even sure who he is. but he has a tx name.

I continue to feel your pain.

45
Need a bigs coach though, right? Not that Vulture isn't totally rough ridin', as far as I know.

46
Who finna be your new assistant coach?

47
I think it was sys who wrote, some weeks back, that Brooth exhibits signs of various psychological disorders.

Could someone link that for me? I thought it was an insightful post, and something that we'd been cogitating about for a while, eastward of Apple II.

these games suck.  wetwillie's fault?
Weber. Always.

I would root for UNC to snag Self.
That move makes zero sense.

Steve Henson. He'll be free next week.
