We're looking to sell/buy soon. We got pre-qualified (not pre-approved, same thing, just not formalized) to borrow $500k.

Granted, you could easily spend that here in CO, but still. It's crazy.

Going on vacation tomorrow! Got a cabin in Buena Vista.

I've been binging on Brooklyn 99. I wish I had watched it earlier. Good stuff.

Played a work tournament at Flying Horse country club here in Colorado springs. Very nice course. My group hit -9. Middle of the pack. I did pretty well for me, though

Imagine Lincoln trying to tell Mike what to do and how to do it.

American Gods firmly has my balls. Hate to go over the top and say that it is a pretty groundbreaking show, but I'm going to anyway.

Groundbreaking is a very apt description. I hope it finds some solid direction and keeps it going.

American Gods just premiered. Full of WTF, but it looks cool, so I'll give it a whirl.

If you stuck with American Gods, episodes 4 and 5 were excellent.

This is really great TV. I'm not sure if my new favorite show is AG or the Expanse. Toss up.

I've watched through episode 4. Lots of good in this show, some not so good, but it could get better. Laura's episode was fantastic.

Expanse is also great. Season 2 was so much better than season 1.

This reminds me, I'm probably gonna need a new router.  Where's the best thread for that (buying a new one, not fixing my old one)?

I just got a Netgear Orbi for cheap on ebay, but it sounds like you're wanting a modem/router combo, right?

The mesh stuff is all the rage these days.  They are all fine if you can't run cable to every AP and you realize that every hop from the main router cuts BW in half and raises latency.

Orbi is a bit different with a dedicated backend frequency so bandwidth does not decrease. It's also AC3000 speed. I'm getting 230 mbps on wireless, out of my 250 mbps service.

Even then, I only have the one router and it does a great job. I went with mesh because I'll probably be moving in the next year or so and wanted to be able to add a satellite if I needed.

'member when we knocked you out of the baseball regionals and all your hayseed fans blamed it on the field?
The Hogs have been to 28 NCAA Tournaments, and 8 CWS appearances.
(they were ONE pitch away from winning the NC title in one game, and ONE pitch away from returning to it in another).

You clowns will NVR have that kind of tradition.

Not sure I'd want a tradition of not being able to win?

We just got done re-finishing a basement.  Old decor needed to go.  Also replaced carpet with Pergo.  Better for dogs and humans alike.  We like cooler basements for summer time napping, like put some golf on the 56" 4K and pass out.

I've redone our first floor, but I don't want to touch the basement. Getting quotes for drywall work and carpet.

It's not the same style of show, dingus. It's in season 3. I think it's pretty clear what type of show it is.

PS Vue beats the crap out of SlingTV. If you really want to cut, get rid of all of that junk...get Kodi + SmoothStreamsTV and live happily ever after.

I have a Plex server, but want to try out Kodi.

Once you try Vue or even shitty DirecTV Now, you'll see how bad the PQ is on Sling.

Just tried streaming SlingTV via Chromecast (old) on Google Fiber gigabit wifi.  It sucked ass.  Probably my Chromecasts fault.

No, SlingTV just sucks that much.

Well my FireTV plugged into Fiber box is flawless.

No it's not. It's cute you think so, but SlingTV has atrocious picture quality and garbagey UI. It's not your box, not your internet. It's SlingTV.

I would recommend spending the money and getting Apple TV, especially if you have an iPhone and/or iPad.

Currently have the fire stick but I'm considering Apple too.  The school district I work at has some older 3rd generation Apple TVs that give us quite a bit of trouble (freezing up, glitchy, etc.).  Have you noticed any of that with the latest generation?

No, not at all.

Friend has gen 3 and it sucks. Mine's a Gen 4, and like fan, no issues.

Only downside is no 4K. Otherwise, I agree. The TV app alone is worth it.

I don't have a 4K TV, so it doesn't matter to me, but that makes sense.

I also really like Air Play from my phone to watch random videos.

I don't have a 4K tv either, but worth mentioning sense they are pretty common now. You can get a 55" 4k tv for under $500.

I have an Apple TV and Fire TV. Both are good. Fire TV is the only one that does 4K. I actually prefer the Apple TV though.

Directv Now has 2 devices allowed and does not need to be on home network. Your local channels are based on billing zip code

DS43 dragging the nubb defender into the endzone is very memorable.
