I'm not sure WVU is a lock at a 2 seed yet. they still have to play Nova(x2), @UConn, @Pitt, Cincy, and Georgetown. Depending on how those games go, they could be anywhere from a 1 to a 4 seed. I see us pretty much locked in as a 2(wishful) or a 3 seed. We might as well just plan on meeting Huggs in the final 4.

Any tourney proposal that gets teams from $hitty conferences eliminated fast and allows more teams from decent conferences to play higher seeds sooner works for me.

I was kinda hoping we'd jump up to 8 in both polls, but I'm not too unhappy with 9 and 9. The worst part is this is the last bit of K-State news that matters until the game saturday...shazbot! this off-week BS.

I think it would help the nation perception of the Big 12 if UT can find a way to win this one. Should KU win, UT would all out of the Top 15 and would fall into a 4 way tie for 4th in the conf. Neither of those would help our dreams of being a power conference.

I guess it'd be cool to finish 2nd in the conference, but I don't care all that much. I just want a bye on the first day of the Big XII and avoid aTm and Baylor as long as possible.

yeah.  there's a good chance it's williams, rodriguez + unknown big.  maybe/probably a 4th to replace a transfer.

Won't we probably be looking for 2 or more bigs in that class? We only have one big coming in the 2010 class while we lose Lu. Then after 2011 we lose Kelly, Sutton and maybe Judge. Seems to me like we'd want bigs and at least one really good one. Looking ahead to post 2012 (assuming the world doesn't end) we'd lose pretty much every big man off the current roster save for JHR and I think we'd lose Asprilla following that season as well. 'Te needs to get some more decent freshmen bigs in the next couple classes.

Same kind of stuff people said about Wooly from years 2-6. Probably not a good sign for the SLTHy coach in the conference.
