MIR, please.  CU is a lovely place full of great people, most of whom still enthusiastically cheer for oscar while bathing in the heinous Kams odor.

Don't let these IllinoisLoyaty honyocks taint an otherwise wonderful oscar-loving community.

Is Kams still there?

According to this thread:

 https://kentucky.forums.rivals.com/threads/the-officiating-was-very-clever-tonight.263230/

The clever officials got a poor free-throw shooter to the line 20 times so that K-State would win.

I wonder what year he graduated from KU?

By "graduated from" do you mean, "started basing his life on"?

It should be a fun game to watch.

Hopefully Kansas State can provide UMBC with some competition to make it fun, besides having another 20 point whooping.

KSU very different team than UVA.
But what's a lowly 9 seed compared to #1 overall? Let's be realistic, here!

KSU is guard oriented but Creighton could have beaten them but were so tight.
By no means a gimme but I like our chances. We aren’t playing afraid.

Not the first time the Retrievers have beaten Cats in a win or go home scenario this season.

Don't want to be a hater but next team won't take them lightly... I think their season ends tomorrow. They are going to get a motivated kensas state tomorrow. I hope they win... I really do but there is no logical reason how they did what they did last night.

They won’t be afraid of KSU but I think Lyles gave so much he might not have enough in the tank for Stokes and company.
But, who knows ... this team is in another gear now.

Was it a shocker UMBC beats #1 Virginia yesterday, yes?? But if you digest their last 2 playoff experiences it is not a total shock.. UMBC peaked at the right time last year and this year.. Just look how far they went into the CIT Tournament last... Semifinals.. Could they beat Kansas State, yes but only if they play with the same intensity and continue hot, and some luck with the 3 ball.. As a Stony Brook fan, I'll be cheering you guys on!!

UMBC can absolutely beat Kansas State. Don’t subject everyone to Kansas State making the Sweet 16 now as a byproduct of beating Virginia. Keep going!

Just some fun as you pass the time..KState board.  k-statefans link

Another board...

BTW, strange to see how many tweets and message boards keep harping on UA beating UMBC by 44pts. Even made it's way to kstate forums...lol.
Man that was a lifetime ago.

I’m totally okay with their rationalizations because they make sense. But they should look at UVA’s board. Said the same things ...
Can we beat them if we play well? Definitely. Will we? Asking a lot given how hard we played.
But one thing I will say is something clicked in the second half against Lowell in the AE playoffs and we have been on a different level ever since. 28 points in the second against Lowell, 60 allowed to Hartford, 62 to UVM, and 54 to UVA.
The question I have is if KSU pushes tempo, can we stay with them?
They are among the worst in the field in corner and above the break 3s. They are about the best offensively in paint 2s.
But they don’t get the most points from the paint 2s. They get most of their points from what they shoot the worst.
I would not be surprised if Odom has his guys let Kansas State shoot over them and see if they make them.
They are literally 65th of 68 in corner and above the break 3s and get the third most points of all the tourney teams from those areas. So they try to score from what they are not good at and ignore what they do well. So bizarre Weber hasn’t done something about it.
That could be their undoing if they are not shooting well.
Defensively, our strengths on offense are their Achilles heel. They are among he worst at defending corner 3s and we are 13th on offense. You saw that last night. Arkel and Jourdan hit a few and Joe missed 2-3 wide open shots.
I’m not saying anything is a lock but we are up against a team that doesn’t defend what we do best and we are actually 19th in defense for where they try to get all their points (and aren’t great shooting there).
The game may be won between the ears and in the huddle.

Pi day. I had a piece of apple pie and a piece of peanut butter pie. I'll go get another piece later. While I'm eating it, I'll see if I can remember any odd or humorous things that have happened lately.
:emawkid:

You might be interested in the "Tau Day" movement with the associated argument that Tau is a more accurate constant than Pi.

I will have Creighton winning on my bracket, but I will be cheering my nuts off for the Cats.

This sounds like a hedge.  Now, it's time to recover.

Plausible deniability even if it's not really plausible is the recommended approach here.

question is whether a school SHOULD know.

I mean, Darrell Arthur didn't graduate high school but the school and NCAA didn't catch it so no fault of Kansas.

Yeah, in that case, the mechanism that's set up has that as 100% on the NCAA Clearinghouse, although you'd have to wonder what the hell ku admissions were looking at.

A wink and nod from the clearing house.  None of this news is a surprise.

the grcoat days were the best days

I'm sure I don't fit the mean demographic of this board . . . I'm one of the old ones.  I was when it started quite a few years ago.  I came here because I liked the alternative nature of the site at the time.  I rarely post but have always enjoyed reading.  I keep a low profile but apparently know a person or two through coaching youth.  It's still a fun board overall.

oh man dax and kaz w are going to "what about Obama" the fvck out of that without actually talking about it.

Sun rises in the east, water is wet, and the Pope is Catholic

This is a huge point of contention in my son's middle school.

Their starts are just so passive.  That's been a consistent problem throughout.

He’s clearly not that good if the police were able to catch him in a foot race.

In his defense, his training is to run toward men in uniform, not away from them.

Yes.  His closing speed worked against him here.
