what if I told you there was a spot where you would have to knock down nothing

I much prefer East Village as well. It would remove some low income housing but not much. MoDot and the Feds squashed that site per what I've read.

that sounds like total BS.

It is BS. If they build in the east, they have to build a stadium and an entertainment district. If they cram it in crossroads, they can build less and get the same amount of taxpayer money. If I had to guess, this was the plan all along and the east and north were just smoke screens. That is why most of the businesses in the area were shocked to hear they were considering the KC Star building. They didn't tell anyone.  John Sherman can go eff himself IMO.

they would in no way "have" to build an entertainment district in EV. They are still committing to a village at the crossroads site and the tax money either way is going to the stadium build, the private money (sherman's) was going to whatever is done in the village piece either way.

Waldo Thai was every bit as good as people say

To add onto this, their collab with Buck Tui people, Muni in River Market, is also really good. Also late kitchen for those who need that type of thing downtown.

GF and I went there Tuesday. Was very very tasty. Really loved their Thaiquitos.

We all got nachos (A+), steak tacos (B), Smash burg (A-), Thaiquitos (C). Have to try those again, it was the last thing we got so maybe already full so didn't hit

What does everyone think of this Jake Eisnberg radio guy? Listened to him start up yesterday's game and the whole describing the uniforms to the nth detail was kinda neat at first but it's getting a little extreme.

Downtown baseball is awesome and I want it quite a lot.

by any means necessary eh?

I wouldn't call this plan any means necessary. I wouldn't knock down the Kauffman PAC for downtown baseball or Union Station.

It's just very disappointing Phil, you've had decent KC takes over the years.

I'm not following which part disappointed you???

They are not helping themselves.  I bet the chiefs are considering ditching them if this fails

today is the best news day since they decided to go to Crossroads.

I think it's easier to call with clarity in the new rule.  Of course it'll be somewhat a PITA as with most penalties and require a lot of judgement, but it's wrapping a player up and then dropping their weight on the opponent's legs.

If it's truly just this specific situation it maybe a good rule. I hadn't read up on what the rule was just almost anybody I follow with a football background was going insane upset about it so I assumed it was way broader definition of a wrapup and then dropping your own weight anywhere to bring the person down.

Ninfa's is for honkeys

I didn't want to say it but they were blaring 98.9 and felt like only a bunch of white people in there working. I was led astray.

It's basically illegal to tackle Travis Kelce now in the NFL

not a fan of the rule change but maybe I'm okay it given this thought!

Went to Ninfa's for some Mex-breakfast today and was pretty disappointed. Pretty bland stuff. Great 'tillas though.

Mexican places are notoriously chincy with the salt.  Chile and lime is their seasoning

It wasn't that. The place just didn't have the soul in the food I was looking for. It was pretty pud and I had heard a lot of good stuff about it. Heck they didn't even bring limes until asked. Looked it maybe it used to be a good place that got popular with the tortillas and now that's really their focus getting them out the door in bulk.

Had Meat Mitch when I was in KC last weekend. Thoroughly enjoyed the three meat+ribs plate I had.

It was good at KCI and I assume even better at the actual restaurant.

Bates City BBQ in Shawnee. What do we think? Do we like it?

Please only respond if you've tried it before.

I got it once and never went back. I don't remember it being bad but if I'm over "there" I'm usually Blind Box.

That Oregon/creighton game was wild. Like if someone told me that Oregon wouldn’t attempt a free throw until there was like a minute left in the game, and also only 2 guys would be responsible for all of their 2nd half points I would ask how badly did they get blown out?

I fell asleep, how did it compare to KSU / Xavier?

What are the absolute coolest things to do in Minneapolis?

Fine city. wish KC was more like it. I didn't find a single cool thing to do there but enjoy visiting and going to a Twins game so maybe that?

I don't think it's going to pass

It will pass. I give this iteration a 70% chance. If it doesn't they will be back and it will pass the 2nd time. People won't deny Patrick mahomes twice

The key to me was pulling it off the exchanges as they then own access to your assets. They shut down, you will be stuck fighting to get your crypto back. Airlocking it into my ledger keeps me in total control. I hadn't looked at "moving" wallets so I wasn't sure how that all worked.

As for my seed phrase, I keep two copies, one in a firebox and one locked away in my work office. I considered putting in my password manager (bitwarden if interested) but liked it only physically written on paper.
