Since race is just a societal construct based on physical characteristics I don't believe it to exist inherently.

He is saying it is the makeup of Arky society to hate people based only on the pigment in their skin. If Arky society would remove that predisposition I think they could really accomplish something.
And to the person who asked if I thought black people didn't exist, that is not what I said at all. I said the idea of race itself is something that is made within the collective societal groupthink and not something that exists inherently. Just as "black" doesn't truely exist, neither does "white".
I will also not back down from saying race is based on physical characteristics, because it is. The proper description of people, if labels must be thrust upon them, is in relation to ethnic groups, which are divided based on language, marital traditions, religious traditions, essentially things much more complex than the amount of melanin in one's skin. I wanted to try and turn this into some sort of productive discussion, but one of your global mods there just tried to bait me using some poor comprehension skills. Good example there.

Arkansas has an obesity rate of 30.1% while the slimmer, more health-conscious Kansans have an obesity rate at a mere 29.4%. Thus validating that Arkansas is a place filled with fatties, while Kansas is the land of the beautiful.
