Kansas State Football / Re: Bowl Projections
« on: November 27, 2022, 07:54:57 AM »
Tennessee fans are lobbying hard for the sugar bowl, I don't understand the south enough to know why they want it so bad and don't want the orange bowl, at all.

Easier drive?  Miami just seems like a bitch to get to.   :dunno:

trick question.  they didn't have a tournament.   :nono:

WE WANT TENNESSEE

Yes, give us the championship game we could have played in 1998.

I always thought in situations where you don't really know who to cheer for you should cheer for the home team.  Don't want OSU picking up a road win.

Where will all the ISU fans go on vacation if he snatches the tournament from KC?!

Still KC.

Looking like we could see heavy rain throughout the game, and the temp won't get above 65 degrees.

Heavy stuff not until close to the end of the game / after that game.

Nijel beating KU at the piss barn and propelling the cats to a tourney berth would be especially tasty

We're going to lose an assload of close games, just prepare yourselves for it now. We'll go 5-13 and lose like 8 of those by 1-3 possessions.

We were all warned

Feel bad for any great smelling and successful EMAW's if you have to sit next to a traveling KU basketball fan today.

I've seen the traveling KU basketball fan up close.   They've clearly never set foot in a classroom at a full time four year university, and well, yeesh.

Exactly why this game should never be played on a Saturday.

I'm not feeling it.  The moment is too big.

I think you mean 2023 but yea I agree Ky has  a clear path to becoming the primary back after playing with deuce for a year

Look, I hope we get him, but it defies logic that he would transfer from a situation when he was the primary ball carrier, behind one of the best offensive lines in America, to back up an All American running behind a line that needs to be rebuilt. Possibly becoming the primary ball carrier in 2023 when you can definitely be the primary ball carrier in 2022 doesn't seem like a great sell to me, particularly when this staff already missed on this player, when there wasn't an incumbent starting running back.

I hope I'm wrong but the set up isn't ideal for him to come here

I believe Mohamad Ibrahim is returning next year for Minnesota, so he probably would be playing behind him.  I kinda thought that is why he was transferring in the first place, and if so would really not make sense for him to come here.  Do we even know why he left?  Just wanted to be closer to family?  Playing time?  Girlfriend?  I don't think I have ever heard a reason for him leaving.

Jerome Tang
KT Turner
oscar Pearl

Interesting names.  Don't think Pearl is a realistic possibility, nor do I think gene would even consider him.

The other two are intriguing.  I have incredibly LHBBC iq.  Has anyone even offered Tang?  How has he skated by for 19 years and no one gives him a sniff.

KT Turner...ill be honest....didn't even know he was from Manhattan (again, LHBBC iq).  Both Tang and Turner seem like solid choices to me.

I do know one thing.....gene won't hire anyone mentioned in this thread.  I want oscar gone, but then I come back to the question of who are we gonna hire, and then I just kinda give up.  Also sad that Southwell and Kelly will be gone as well.

Matt Miller is on the latest edition of The Life of Fitz podcast, and I'd strongly recommend everyone listen, it's very good. Matt also has stage 4 prostate cancer, but it's apparently much worse than Fitz's. They talk about that, his time at K-State, and his coaching career. There is also a super awkward moment when Fitz asks him about alcoholism. When Fitz is asking the question you feel like they definitely talked about it before, but when Matt answers it's apparent that they definitely didn't discuss it before the podcast.

Anyway just search life of fitz podcast like anywhere.

I don't know if any of you heard Klieman in his on field postgame interview but he said that Matt is in hospice.

Please please please if you haven't gotten a baseline PSA score do it tomorrow and keep getting checked. While you're at it, if you're eligible for a colonoscopy please do that too.

Did the PSA last August.  All good!  Was worried my doctor wouldn't do it since I am not 50 yet, but he didn't even hesitate.
