We are dogshit without a downfield threat and OSU is gonna score on us again before half

Downfield threats don't miss tackles.

I'm done for the night. Game came back on, we make a half-hearted attempt to establish some kind of game, then our D gets pushed around like they don't even belong there, nobody seems to be able to tackle and now ESPN+ has technical difficulties.

This is just not enjoyable.

Bummer.

Anyone think the Ekrich commercial was almost pornographic?

Can ESPN+ sink any lower?

That was horrible. Bad call by the refs on ball placement (not once but twice) and absolutely horrible play calling.

WTF happened to the o-line, the running game, any type of passing game. Anything.

Fortunately, our punter is kicking his a** off and the D is currently playing pretty well.

We can't go down by 2 TDs+ and expect to have a chance.

Why was that not targeting on the play just before their TD? I hate this game crew. Seen them before and they are bad.

Everything about this ESPN+ crap sucks. Ray Bentley sounds like he's either drunk, high or both, the knucklehead sitting next to him is an idiot and the camera work just really, really bites.

The repetitive commercials should show you just how much advertisers are not willing to shell out actual money for this sh*t show.

I think the house will introduce articles of impeachment sometime around Thanksgiving. Maybe he will resign on Christmas day.

Then you've really not been paying attention. This President won't resign. He'll take it all the way to trial in the Senate and force the issue.

If the Senate votes to convict and actually impeaches a sitting President, the country and more importantly Sen Repubs like Mitt RINO Romney better watch out.

He gets 150 and we only win by 4?

Les bringing sec values to the big 12

Uh, didn't Lester have Big XII "values" before he retired to the SEC? Of course values and Okie State might be mutually exclusive so while he obviously may have learned some values from being associated with the Big XII, not sure it was from the good folks in Stillwater.

CK proves again why we made such a great decision.

We win and he's now mentioned in the national CoY discussion.

For reasons I can't explain, I think we beat osu by a couple touchdowns.

Nobody's asking or expecting you to. I like the attitude and thought.

By you and everyone.

Good Lord this feels good again.

I feel personally attacked.

Alright, I'll play your silly game. Who or what is karl tucks?

I really didn't think the slide hit was that bad. Hard to just pull up on a sliding QB when you're already starting to tackle. the out of bounds sling was really bad and awesome though

The hit on the QB wasn’t hard or anything, but you could pretty easily tell on replay that our guy lowered his shoulder after he saw the QB was sliding. Dumb play that he probably thought he could get away with given the time left in the half.

Not so sure I'd give him credit for doing it on purpose. Seems, at both the college and pro-levels, that there's a lot of dropping heads when going to tackle. Particularly by D-backs and in the open field. Way too many throwing your body from an angle to try and knock an offensive player down as opposed to keeping your head up and wrapping him up with your arms. While this was not necessarily the same thing, the dropping of the head seems to me to becoming a systemic problem.

If they're serious about getting rid of the targeting, they'd be ruthless about calling any player, offensive or defensive (although I understand it's somewhat problematic when you're talking RB's around the LoS) that lowers their head when coming in contact with an opposing player.

No one was being defensive, let alone super defensive.

It's jus too easy to look backwards and be critical of someone or something that's no longer there. Apparently for some it's also way too difficult to look forward and either acknowledge the success of someone or something or worst case, just let it go and again, look forward to the future which is, at least at this point (or about 197ish wins from any type of fair comparison), apparently pretty damn positive looking.

But I guess someone's got to drink the Kool-Aid in order for the glass to half empty.

How about looking forward instead of kicking someone who's gone?

Even if you can't or won't, how about at least acknowledging that in all probability, we couldn't find anyone to take the job when HCBS was first hired so in that regard, he was the right man for the job and with out that hire, we'd be lucky to even have a football team let alone have one that would have led to what we potentially have today.

Kind of along the same lines as all those people that hollered and screamed about what a piss poor hire we'd made to replace HCBS and even went so far as to say they wouldn't be renewing their season tickets. Kind of like the people threatening to move to Canada in 2016. Bet the numbers are about the same - 0.

Will Brett Farve come back and be the famous alum coin flip dude?

Benny, Benny, Benny. Hopefully you and EC know by now that we're playing MSU and not Southern Ms.

If not, try and find a sponge emoji so we know when you're being sarcastic and not something less than intelligent.

I don't believe I saw the "FAMILY" block when the team ran out on Saturday. What I did see was Coach Klieman taking all the attention away from the players as they ran out of the tunnel. Very large ego, if you ask me.

If you've noticed, no one really is asking you.

This program was built on the mantra of "No I in team" and the 16 goals. After Saturday I'm feeling more like it's "There's definitely an I in Klieman" and the 16 bowls they smoked after the game. Did you hear the pregame music?

No but I think that was more because of either ESPN+ not providing me the opportunity, me not listening for it or a combination of both.
My personal opinion is that (a) you wish that HCBS was still HC and would therefore find any reason to hate his replacement and (b) our team for the last couple of seasons was not very good. Yesterday's team, with basically the same players as at least last year's performed way better than they did last year (I concede it was one game) so I'm thinking I really don't GAF about what music, if any, is played when the team departs the locker room or whether or not they carry some hand painted block of wood with them.

They can all stroll out at a leisurely walk and if they continue to win like they did yesterday, I'm good with that.

No i see it as a suspension after spring ball has basically ended and a 'wait and see' approach. they havent kicked him off the team or anything. amaad played multiple games after the fact, two different scenarios but he as well should have been suspended until the facts come out. do you think tyreek hill plays in the season opener if nothing has happened yet?

I honestly don't know. I live in Fla and have a very, very superficial knowledge of the Tyreek Hill case but from what I've read, he's already pled guilty once before to similar charges that amazingly involved the same woman. As much as it bothers me, yes, until he's proven guilty, he's assumed to be innocent, doesn't have to prove a thing to anyone and should be able to pursue a way to make a living. Would I continue to talk with him about a new contract? Not on your life and if found not guilty or the charges are dismissed, I'd make damn sure there were some exceedingly strict public performance standards in any new contract. More than likely I'd try to trade him or just cut him before I'd write him a new contract.

Again, would most people who are arrested, post bail and plead not guilty fired from their jobs and/or ostracized by society before they get their day in court and are either found guilty or not guilty? Remember I said most. Not all.

Having said that, he should be assumed to innocent until proven otherwise. I'm not sure it's appropriate to suspend him from the team until he has been afforded his Constitutional right to due process and if necessary, his day in court. Suspending him before hand is akin to making him prove his innocence as opposed to the state having to prove he's guilty. The former is not what our judicial system is about.
like saying letting amaad wainwright play all season for oscar?

So you, the previous post and the guy with two first names are all about guilty until proven innocent? Should we kick every student off campus and not allow them to attend class just because they're arrested by the police on charges but well before they ever see the inside of a court room? Amaad, if I recall correctly and besides being charged with a crime he eventually admitted being a party to, did in-fact break the law when he decided to drive away, rather quickly if I recall, from a valid police stop. That was not in question nor what his guilt or innocence open for discussion. He did it. So it's really apples and oranges but I doubt you'll see it that way.

shut the eff up
Why?

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G925A using Tapatalk

Because at best your comment is lazy and not funny, at worst it reinforces stereotypes. Are you upset that a rocky upbringing has perhaps negatively affected someone, or smuggly pleased your worldview has been upheld?

How is it stereotyping if it's just about one family and one relationship between a father and a son and what potentially the son learned from the father? Who's being stereotyped here - fathers, sons, father son relationships or what. Please explain.

and how is it lazy when in-fact his father was charged with something similar? Do sons, in some respect, not learn from their fathers?

Andre sounds or reads like he's a pretty decent dad and husband but still, he didn't "reconnect" with his son until the mother contacted him and he apparently has been a bum when it comes to child support.

http://theundefeated.com/features/black-fans-of-duke-basketball-blue-devils/

I don't know what to think about this article.

Relevant, reaching, dumb  :dunno:

What it says to me, among other things, is that Duke didn't become popular with blacks until academics were no longer the/a priority for basketball players.

You can argue that academics are not an issue anywhere anymore but most of the schools like Duke; Notre Dame, Stanford, Vanderbilt, etc. at least gave the impression, however false it may or may not have been, that they would, did and have not lowered their academic standards just to recruit a better athlete.

Doesn't say much about society at-large when we at least implicitly reward physical achievement over academic achievement. I would have liked to have seen some kind of background on how well all those "failed" NBA Duke alumni have done in the other careers once the NBA didn't pan our and/or how the other black players, that were not one-and-done have done after they left Duke.

To me, there's just not a whole lot to like about this article. I perpetuates the growing marginalization and segregation of our society into separate colors. More and more things are being described by a label that segregates a certain segment of society either into a specific group or excludes them from it.
