Clemente is a huge loss for us, but KU losing 3 starters (2 of which are AAs, the point guard and center), 40% of its scoring, 44% of its minutes, 64% of its blocks, 40% of its rebounds, and 41% of its assists is no big deal? Plus all those studs that are leaving are being replaced by completely unproven commodities. Yeah, KU has nothing to worry about. 

Did you not say the same thing when KU lost Rush, Chalmers, Arthur, Jackson, etc?
 

You had two studs coming back from that team in Aldrich and Collins. They both played the two most important positions on the court and were obviously going to be a good core to bring back. I'll give you that Marcus Morris is good, but there's nobody else that has proven anything at all, unless you think Brady and Tyrell are centerpieces to build your team around (in that case  ). Losing the biggest defensive presence in the conference, and possibly the country, along with your floor general are huge, huge losses.

I usually just  the message boards and stuff without any roster analysis.....so are we really going to have one of the best o-lines in the conference? If so, we should bowl no matter what considering we'll have a monster running back. This could be nullified if we have one of the worst defenses, I guess.

Don't really get all the Huggs animosity.  He brought us back to relevance, and then some (i.e. Beasley).  He went back to his alma mater for christ's sake.  Give him a break.

Any and all success and happiness we've enjoyed related to basketball this year would not have happened had Huggins (or Midas, as I refer to him as) not graced us with his, albeit short-lived, presence.

Every little thing that happened in my life is part of a chain of events that brought me here. I'm reasonably happy where I'm at right now. I'm not happy about every event that happened in my life even though without them, I'd be somewhere else/a different person.

We succeeded in spite of Huggs departure, not because of it.

Yes, but don't have a cruiser. Sorry I can't help.

The best advice I have for you are:

• Take an MSF course. You'll learn some valuable skills and you'll automatically have your license when you're done
• Wear a helmet. Sure, the wind in your hair, chicks, blah, blah blah. Chicks don't dig dudes that have disfigured faces and wind in your hair is overrated.

Of course, I'm assuming you are a noob, so if not, good luck for your bike search. Just my $.02

Yes, but Time Warner only lets you get CBS, NBC, ABC, etc, correct?  I have been led to believe you can get almost all the HD channels w/o a box from SureWest 

My fault, I misread your original post. I think you're right, pretty sure you need an HD box to get HD channels.

After all this feel good Elite 8 hooplah, I don't think I'd be all that excited about some BS lower level bowl game. OTOH, making even a mid level bowl is unlikely. I'm not even sure making any bowl is likely.

Disclaimer: SureWest is not available in my neighborhood, but this part of the good I have heard about it.

One cool thing about SureWest is they do not encrypt the HD versions of ESPN, ESPN2, the U and others.  This is useful any HDTV that you do not want a box for (kitchen, bar area, garage, on the deck or patio, etc).  Comcast and Time Warner do not do this.

This is also nice if you want to use your computer as a DVR.

I have Time Warner and I have a TV that works by just screwing the cable into the TV. No box.

Looks like I'm gonna have to visit your uglier sister, "Former home of the DoD". It sucks cuz she used to be all hot, but not so much anymore. Back in the day I didn't even hardly look at you, it was all about FHOTDOD, but then you grew up and when you grew up, you grew up in all the right places.    But since you ain't puttin' out anymore, I'm forced to move on. Thanks for all the memories and I'll be sure to drop in occasionally so hopefully I can catch a nipple slip or something, but uhh yeah, I'll see you around.

Ummmmm, we weren't 9/2 when the tourny started.  iirc we were about 50/1 or even higher.  Vegas isn't going to take or offer stupid non-sensical lines because they are to lazy to update them on a game to game basis.  

I can be a lazy reader sometimes. I only looked at the first column. Didn't even bother to read the the title of the column or the second, but yeah, we weren't 50/1. We were 12/1.
