Kansas State Football / Re: This is going to be a fun team to watch

I think we're gonna shock the world with 7 wins this year.

I think a moat/lazy river would make a lot of people on here happy. Perhaps 2 "lanes". One with angry, hungry crocodiles and the other with lots of intertubes and water bars along the way.

I think 'Te was way underperforming. I don't care how much we were paying him either way. I just want somebody pulling in good talent, he mostly wasn't doing that anymore. If Frank hires a dud or nobody at all, 'Te leaving is a negative. If he hires someone who recruits better, then it's a positive. How this move is ultimately graded is on Frank's shoulders.

K-State's two best players next season are Dalonte recruits (McGruder and Samuels).  You guys are f*cked.
Thanks for proving my point, both recruited a long time ago (in the college sports world). If you're getting half a mill, you need to bring at least one solid guy per year as an assistant. He wasn't doing that. I don't think our team, from the last two years, changes with him gone. We'll recruit just like we have (average) unless we bring someone in that is good. We would have been average had he stayed. So I guess what I'm saying is that I don't think him leaving really hurts us as he wasn't exactly pulling in blue-chippers lately. If we get another 'Te (circa 2008ish) it will be a good thing.

Seems like he would wait for them to commit, otherwise he's just bragging about mentions.

LOL, KU = Maryland = South Carolina.

This is currently my favorite thread. It's like one giant Christmas eve, the anticipation is killing me. I, for one, am very excited to have a stadium that belongs in bcs football. Or so I would think if we're spending 75M.

Hope he doesn't get super celebratory and decides to drive to Maryland.

I hope he does
I'm sorry, but I can't see how you can live with yourself. Promoting drinking and driving and all....

The K-State field is actually a pretty big deal for AstroTurf, because K-State will be the first D1 School to install this version of GameDay Grass in its stadium.   This is the product that AstroTurf using to battle head on with FieldTurf, so displacing a FieldTurf field at a BCS school is a pretty damn big deal for them.   From what I hear though, the final decision literally came down to the fact that AstroTurf could match the exact shade of purple in their production that the athletic department is trying to move to across the board.   FieldTurf couldn't match it perfectly.

In terms of what they want to do on the West Side of the Stadium, we're literally talking about one of the most expensive projects ever on a Kansas Board of Regents Campus.   Only out done by the Jardine Renovation, and NBAF.    All in line with the over $1 Billion dollars in construction on that end of campus over a 15 year period.

I want to know more. It makes me feel really good inside, like good things are happening and will continue to happen. Sunshine on my face, wind at my back type of thing.
Streets paved in Gold.  That's all I can say.
Was hoping for platinum, but gold will do. Milk and honey?

Also why not intentional grounding when a QB spikes the ball.

in the tackle box? Check
no receivers around? Check
ball never cross LOS? Check

There's almost always a TE, WR, or a RB within 5 yards.  If there isn't, then they seem to be wasting time getting into a 5 wide formation and deserve to be penalized.
So it can be safely assumed that he was making an attempt at completion?

Training Day is probably what you are looking for

Close.  That quote just stops at ". . . what you can prove."

So it was law abiding citizen then

Yes.

Prepare your minds, for they are about to be blown.  (or not)

In college football, how come the holder on an extra point is not down as soon as he catches the snap?

Also, chugging alcohol when pulled over is an old idea, but never heard of someone brave enough to do it. Sounds like you would get penalized for something, but you should be able to get off in court with a decent lawyer.

It would do wonders to making the place look better. It looks kinda tarded with the huge lack of symmetry.

Random person is really the key. This is why serial killers are so hard to catch. A serial killer that only kills once? Yeah, prolly don't catch too many of them unless they're really sloppy.

5992
The idea of the ksu ad spending that kinda dough* is ridiculous and so foreign to me that I can't wrap my mind around it.

*gold plated equestrian plaza excepted.

5993
nothing major, but i talked to a guy at the spring game who said this will be in the $75 mil range. said they want it to be the "grand entrance" to the stadium.

go cats.
Sounds like he's full of crap. But then again, maybe I am.

I don't think he'd come here.

Really? What makes you think that?

He might. I just wouldn't be surprised if he opted to retire or hold out for a better gig than KSU.

5995
Been told you ask them what time it is. It makes them use a part of the brain not determine to blow your head off. Act quickly after asking and bask in the glow being a hero....or get shot. He's prolly gonna kill you anyway, so it's worth a shot (no pun intended).

:flush:

Not really sure what else Fridays are for.
I'd give this a +1 if I was one of those lame asses that gave +1s.

Totally depends. If it's highway with average traffic, miles will suffice. If it's a path slowed way down by traffic or something else, time.

They hold importanty type conventions. Sounds like a snooze fest if you ask me.

I miss those commercials by that jewelry store in Manhattan (forget the name). They are like the most generic, cheesy commercials known to man from the 70s and/or the 80s. They floss that crap though like nobodies bidness.
