Does anybody else think this "tuck" mantra is eff*ng Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!)?  Definately played out.

Yeah, we've got some dumb rough ridin' fans.  no doubt about it.  Just like any fan base.  But a lot of these "tucks" are loaded bastards who donate a lot of money to our University and I don't give a crap if they do praise Snyder like he's god.  The suites and club seating for the new West side expansion have already been priced out.  These "tucks" have already been approached about pledging $$$ for the new donor level WS.  The new suites will be legit.  And they'll be expensive as eff.  But, these "tucks" are going to pay it anyway because they went to K-State, they sent their kids to K-State, and they love K-State.  These "tucks" rode it out through the Prince years.  Many of them are glad to have Snyder back.  And most of them would love to have Patterson or some other Elite coach after Snyder leaves.

One of my best friends at K-State from '01-'05 is from a big KSU family in Nemaha County (shirt tuck capital of Kansas).  His Dad and Uncles have had a Suite at BSFS since the press box was built and they've pledged to purchase a new suite when it comes on line.  I'd wager that these "tucks" donate more money to KSU in one football season than all of the people on this board combined.

Saying these guys "have no other interests/concerns" is the most Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) eff*ng comment I've ever read.  When you're investing 100K in a suite, LHC Bill Snyder isn't your main concern - it's winning football games.  Unfortunately, these guys don't hire coaches.  the AD does.  If your pissed about Snyder and his staff, be pissed at Tim Weiser, Bob Krause, and Tim Weiser.  Don't be pissed at "tucks" because they love LHC Bill Snyder.  Don't be a rough ridin' internet bitch that trolls the web and talks crap on people like a eff*ng immature teenager.  If you're really upset about the affairs of our program, get your best 5 friends together, pool together some cash, and make a donation to the Ahearn Fund.

This is the best KSU message board out there, but for crisake, some of you...

I basically agree. The bathroom are about function, not form. When it comes time to make the East side about form, they'll enclose the whole thing and you won't see the bathrooms from the parking lot. At least that's what I'm hoping for.

Dear architects and KSU athletic director,

I did a few hours of doodling & photoshop last night after daydreaming about how the stadium might turn out. This is what I came up with.

The facade blends traditional visual icons from around the campus with some of the modern feel seen on K-States athletic facilities such as the Vanier complex and the upcoming basketball practice facility. Basically the idea here is to create the "face of the university" that Mr. Currie is looking for. Also it is jam packed to the brim with limestone.

It features a big central glass thingy that looks from all levels onto a majestic limestone portico entrance which will be used by rich guys with box seats and things like that.  The proletariat are not left out however, as they now have a grand entrance on the south side of the complex that feeds not just the lower level and endzone seating, but also the northwest entrance into the OOD (pretty handy). Above the grand entrance is an indoor area that can be used for lounge or restaurant seating. To really spice it up, it also features a balcony (it's not visible in the pic silly) facing all the action on the field. WOW.

FAQ's:

Q: Do you even know how much this would cost? A: No, but Nebraska is building some godawful giant thing for $56 million supposedly, so I don't see how I could have gotten carried away. I mean didn't you guys just pocket $11 million from last fiscal year? Come on. (side note: to save costs I left the parking lot all crappy looking)

Q: I saw that last photoshop you did and you put new stadium lights on that picture. Where did they go? A: I forgot and...meh. Listen, we all know where lights go. Also I was going to put some balconies and doors and stuff on the upper levels outside. Let's hope the real architects don't just shrug off that kind of thing like I do.

Q: Is that the school seal on the sidewalk? It looks all warped from the perspective. A: Yes. ...Yes it does. I'm hoping it may possibly become Steve Dave's new location for beat downs. This was put into the planning stages early on. (about 7pm last night)

Q: Boakai, do you even know wtf you are doing? A: No. And this is the whole point really. You architects and athletic directors actually know what you are doing, so you better do a way better job and be innovative and new and clever. Someone posted pics of Maryland's facilities and man is it boring and unattractive. Talk about what a waste of money that would be. Can you imagine the Dax rants over the next 15 years? The worlds supply of alliteration would probably run out. :shy:

Q: I absolutely hate the bush league photoshop attempt you have brought forth on this morning. What should I do about it? A:  :ck: I guess PI me into oblivion.  :frown:

In closing. Do good.

Go Cats,
Boakai
 :kstatriot:

I honestly love boakake's rendering. Whatever we get will look worse. Well done imo.

Man, some real compelling pro-Populous arguments here. even after reading them, I can't make myself get upset without a shitty kstateo rendering or something. The render could be tits and that's all I care about.

Well, I am not even in the business and even I understand that the best architects can't give you Tiffany diamonds when they're given a Coors Light budget to work with.

Like I said earlier, you don't like how the West Side turned out, blame the KSU AD at the time.   Plus it was basically mom and pop shops who did the current pressbox and a bunch of stuff on Vanier, and I'll throw a bone to the arch's on the current pressbox because when it was designed and built it was considered one of the nicest in the country, it's just that things of that nature evolved very rapidly after that.

When Populous was given the orders to "to do it right" at K-State they designed the BTF, and unless something happens between right now and when the project is done,  that's going to be a very nice facility.

There's a lot of stuff some of you are missing.   I hope it turns out fantastic because I want what's best for K-State, but if it doesn't then . . .  :chainsaw:

I'm with you. If it sucks balls, I'll be screaming the loudest (read: hitting lots of keystrokes to upload to BBS places).

Oh come on, it's not like Populous is some little garage based architecture shop, and this time around Currie opted to go with the "big boys" from the ATL.

Populous understands K-State, they're one of the best, they employ a bunch of K-State graduates (and last I checked K-State had a Top 10 Architecture School).

Plus if want some squawks outed, maybe you should start with one of the lead guys at AECOM.

Yeah I said it . . .  :comehere:

Look, I'm cool with KSU arch's. I'm cool with Populous too. I'm also not sure I want someone that "understands K-State". If this school "gets Texas" and "gets pretty much any SEC school X", then I hope they confuse us with them and does our crap like they would do theirs.

how did u guys barely beat them. what happened to 63-14/65-13?
Kansas State castrated Bob Stoops a few years back idk
I remember back in the day when Stoops started at OU and a buddy of mine was all "  :runaway: Oh noze, OU's gonna be tough with them stealing all our assistants  :runaway: " and I was all "  lollernuts, we'll continue to bet their asses  ". We've beaten OU once since I think.  :dubious:

Downloaded Opera, it solved the problem. Guess I'll see if I like opera over the default browser. If I don't, I may just do the tapatalk thing.

Never felt like Prince Ron knew what he was doing, with his staff or players, except for the Texas games.  The "Bunny" episode in Hays during the Catbacker event proved that Prince couldn't manage relations with donors/alumni.
I remember hearing about him hitting on "some lady" while he was in Hays, but don't know anything more than that. Any other details worth noting?

There was an update recently to my EVO and now I have problems loading threads. It's weird though. For instance, if I go to the Forum list, I can click the last active thread through that page and it loads fine. If I instead go to ComboFan board and then click a thread, my browser will close. It never used to do this. This is also the only BBS that I have problems with.

Just one case, but former Cat Tony Kitt use to play in the Netherlands (if I recall correctly). Knew some guys who played intramural hoops in Manhattan with him during his offseason. Tony is just another in a long line of former Cats that love MHK. Said he had around a 50 game schedule...he brought home six figures. Guessing, based on the pay, that this was probably an above average professional league in Europe.

Doubting Travis Canby brought home big bucks playing in some German league...
Tony Kitt is a loldumshit. One time I was at a party he was at during the summer. Everyone was outside drinking and/or smokin' or whatever and for one reason or another Tony got butt hurt over something and said something along the lines of “alright, I’m gonna go get my gun and come back!”. I think he envisioned the scene in White Men Can’t Jump where the one dude at the bball court said that and everyone just started running. Well, in this scenario, everyone kind of looked over at him for 1-2 seconds, he left, and everyone continued on with their beer/smoke/convos. Was pretty funny in retrospect.

eff 6 wins, I want no less than 8.  We win 8 (regular season) games and I will feel fine with Snyds sticking around.  6-7 wins and Cosh has to go.  Less than 6 wins and we implode the whole thing and try our luck with whatever staff we can bring in.
Yeah, pretty much this.
