The current leaders is a private women's school in Virginia, Sweet Briar. ( :frown: ) in fact we aren't even in the top 10 (  :frown: :frown: )

This is your destination for all KSU footballer encounters and interactions. Can't wait to hear the tales of old DoD hero's along with the current version we've come accustomed to today.  :lynchmob: (Have fun guys! #gocats)

Could eat this stuff all day. Crunchy or creamy? I don't care. Chocolate and peanut butter? Just as good a combination as Roberson and Sproles. It's so damn good. What do you love about it? (people with pud peanut allergies get lost) :D

What are some things you'd like to see from the official @KState twitter account? Construction updates? Get to know professors? All ideas are welcomed and I'll share some of the better ones with the people in charge of the account. Anything they/we can do better would be appreciated as well. Cats, man!  :ksu:

It's awful. When I think of family I think of a bunch of people who hate each other and eat dinner together.

I mean it's Kentucky (they are suck town, usa for you casual basketball fans) and I would hate for us to La Salle' ourselves again. Would be a huge embarrassment to not only K-State but the Big 12 conference as well. I have a feeling this is our year tho, boys!  :emawkid:

A few weeks ago, I was shoveling snow barehanded with an old shovel with a wooden handle. I ended up getting a few splinters. I removed most of them, but I later discovered there was one more in my finger. I neglected it and now it hurts a bit when I press in the spot. But I'm afraid it's pretty deep into the finger now.  :ohno:

What's the diagnosis, doc?

« on: December 12, 2013, 12:03:37 PM »
Hey all! New uncle here. I'm in the market for a new reliable stroller and recently I've been looking into the Photon made by i'coo.

I've read nothing but good reviews so far. What does everyone think of it?

Hope this starts some good stroller convo!

Essentially Flyertalk / Does anyone here do Vinyasa yoga?
« on: December 12, 2013, 11:56:22 AM »
I have been doing it for a short while and have already felt the benefits in my lower and upper back. I haven't really seen any benefit in my cardio but I'm not concerned about that. I'm going at least four times a week. I am extremely inflexible and was wondering if anyone had started yoga and gained a lot of flexibility. I have extremely tight hamstrings and quads. Just curious about everyone's experiences. Thanks, go cats!

Essentially Flyertalk / Going to do the turkey a little different this year
« on: November 26, 2013, 09:31:41 AM »
After some research I decided to try a delightful dry salt brine. Basically you just rub the turkey with salt and let it sit in the fridge for a couple of days. It's said to produce a better texture than a gross wet brine. The skin gets crispier due to less water absorption and from the skin drying out from the dry air in the fridge. Also less water gets absorbed into the meat so it's not spongy.

Second, I'm going to spatchcock (cut out the backbone) the turkey. This is supposed to lead to quicker, more even cooking and exposes all of the skin so that it all gets crispy. Plus, you can use the backbone (and I'll also cut off the wing tips) for making stock for the gravy.

...thoughts?
