« on: April 21, 2012, 01:01:30 PM »Mizzou is long gone so I don't really get why we're worried about strengthening them. They're in the SEC and are going to make a good chunk of change. This annual ass kicking they get at the Sprint will do very little other than keep they're alumni pleased. They're alumni weren't gonna switch sides to KSU anyways, so lets play them kick their ass every year, and have a huge nationally televised rivalry game thats the talk of the nation for a few days, and draw 17k.
Make it to where we get like 60% of the revenues.
This will only benefit us and really won't benefit them much at all.
Although I am on the other side of this debate; I really see no way in debating against the above gold.

ku didn't play very good last night. a lot of that may have been UK, but KU was making their fair share of stupid mistakes (EJ in the final few minutes).
ku needed a lot of things to happen to overcome the talent disparity last night and those things didn't happen.
it's a credit to self and KU that it was as close as it was but it's also very scary to think of the gap between Kentucky and one of its supposed peers.
I would agree with everything you posted. Keep in mind this wasn't by any means Kansas' most talented team. But that matters jackshit. Our talented teams faceplant. This one, the little engine that could, didn't.

They did get tight and miss jumpers/bunnies/free throws.
