We should have subthreads for each Book

Also, since my wife has read book one we started watching GoT DVD's. OMG THEY'RE SO GOOD!

Season 2 strays from the book a lot more than season 1, but it was pretty good as well.

agreed. I think the storyline in the shows might actually be better when it comes to Arya. Mostly because I think Tywin is a fantastic character, and him interacting with Arya is like dynamite television. IMO.

I've probably watched the first episode like 12 times because I keep showing it to people to get them hooked. The first scene usually works.

bill, mike, jake, curtis, and denis are all sitting around waiting for the call

it's not ringing

sadness befalls them

there's really no reason to go to 39th street with the exception of grabbing an occasional d'Bronx pizza.

oh guys. mario's in westport is a pretty great little place. meatball grinders  :lick:

It used to be but they got new ownership/management or something and it is straight up no good anymore. I got a meatball grinder a couple months ago and it was like 90% crusty bread and the other 10% was soggy goo.  :frown:

Watching Batman Begins for the second time as I post this. WILL REPORT BACK!!!

It's fun to see all the tie-ins to the Dark Knight that I missed now that I've seen Dark Knight approximately 20 times, and also the connections to Dark Knight Rises. But as a stand alone movie, it was pretty meh for the second time.

What are our true contenders for "Nolan movies that are good the 2nd+ time"? Memento, Dark Knight, and The Prestige? Any other nominees? Dark Knight should get a free pass, IMO.

Insomnia was much better 2nd time. DKR was much better 2nd time. Inception I saw like 4 times in the theater. 2nd time was the best. I will watch Following again and let you know about that one. Prestige gets better and better the more you watch it. You could say I am a full on Nolan fanboy I guess. I think Inception was the most  :horrorsurprise: movie I have ever seen.

What a good dog and what stupid rough ridin' parents.  "Hey let's let our baby eff with our giant dog's food while it's eating, nothing bad could possibly happen here."  The dog shows food aggression and bites that baby and it gets put down, not the stupid rough ridin' parents who set it all up.  I rough ridin' hate people sometimes you know?

Hey Mr Bread, that was Cesar Milan's kid you dumbass.

They keep that up and that dog will eat that rough ridin' baby and then maybe you and Cesar can go cry about it together and congratulate each other on being dumbasses.

Some dogs would never ever do that. Some would. I have 2 border collies that are cousins with each other. One of them growls and bares his teeth (and always has) when you touch him or his food when he is eating. The other wags his tail incessantly if you pet him or talk to him or move his bowl around the room while he is eating out of it.

Different strokes for different folks, I always say.

you should take away his food if he's growling at you.

seriously.

Well he got better about it for a few years, but now he's like 13 years old and could GAF, y'know?

I fly SW to Vegas. There isn't a single benefit to a SW 737 over any carrier's 175. They are a great plane.

Shoulder room, bin space

17" seats on SW v. 18"+ on the Embraer. I don't think the bin space argument flys either but I've never had any trouble with either one.

agreed SD, agreed. I just flew RT on Delta. 757 on the way out, MD90 on the way back.  :dunno:

I just want to say, I love my HTC EVO 4G LTE. Except the name. The name is Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).

I am also very pleased with mine.   The one complaint I have is a stupid one.   It's almost too thin.   I have a hard time (sometimes) with it slipping out of my hand.

I agree, aggieville is not a classy area. However, I'd say that hardly any of those bars qualify as "dives". I must have a different definition of a dive bar than the rest of you, though.

I would consider Omalleys, The Lou, Fats, Mae's and Fast Eddies all dives. I would include Pats if they hadn't renovated.

Agreed.

Fast Eddies closed fwiw

Do we call it a "dove" now?

When I think dive bar:

Fairly small; namesake of this board on the larger end.
No food or extremely limited menu (popcorn/bar nuts/chips & dip/pickled eggs/pizza slices)
Regulars are a must
Older construction / parts in disrepair
TV's are few and far between, not a main attraction
Dimmer lighting, but not in a club sort of way, is a plus
Cash bar only is a huge plus, but not a necessity

Harling's passes all these tests with flying colors, with added bonus(es) of not having a sign anywhere, and occasionally pretending the smoking ban does not exist

So I haven't binged much in 2013. When I have an evening of binge will my tolerance be lower and less alcohol will do the trick? How does that work?
yeah.  and hangover will be worse than usual i think.

that's the price you pay for not being committed.

if youve been dieting and working out (after not doing it previously) there will virtually be no hangover. can confirm.

I don't think he is being :opcat:, I think like recognizes like.

Here is Titus, a former OSU walk-on:

And here is his stat-line:

This total stud was a career 33% 3pt shooter and literally had zero turnovers in four years at a top D1 program, I think he knows his crap.
