I know a couple Auburn fans. Why do you guys love putting retainer ropes on your sunglasses?

Haha!  WHen I go on vacation with the fam in Destin, it never fails that I can walk into Sunglass Hut and some kid is getting some $300 sunglasses for his bday from mom.  Always a frat daddy looking kid and he always had to get his croakies (the brand of those straps).

I don't sport them since my mustache is more than enough for the ladies to know how badass I am.

How do you have Cadillac Williams, Ronnie Brown and Brandon Jacobs on one team and go 8-5?

Great question.  But the answer lays in what happened to our O Coordinator.  We had Petrino before he went crazy and went to a million teams in 3 years.  He had our offense humming.  He left and Tuberville made the mistake of a lifetime, he handed the play calling duties to his O line coach.  We bombed.  It was then that we brought on Al Borges who featured Brown and Williams in the same backfield and we dominated the 2004 season.

Borges fell out of graces after they left, and he alluded to it before it ever happened, and then Tuberville when high school spread, which was a disaster and Chizik was brought in.  He runs the exact same offense, just with a better O coordinator.

And yes, we ALL knew how much of a beast Jacobs was while he was here.  We also had some stud defenses at the time.

OMFG

welcome Wipp

Dammit man, we could have had a ton of fun with this!  The "Beatdown List" potential of where this could have been taken...

So, EkoCat led me to some old emails where I found one from Pissclams, which led me to here.

Query:
How did you find this board?

Follow up:
What made you even think of coming to k-state board?  Was it the EkoCat triumph?

It can absolutely be tracked back to EkoCat on edsbs.com.  That led to old urls that led to here.

Ah, I believe I remember the fiasco you're referring to now  :flush:

Sad times, who could ever imagine that a bunch of college kids could make such poor decisions :(

When was the last time you've been down there?  My nephew is in school there now, and I was down there about a year a half ago.  Auburn is a lot more "polished" than it was while I was there.

Tyrik Rollison  :dubious:

I wish the best to him, and I'm sorry to see him go.  However, I'm not a huge recruiting geek that lives my life on how many stars a kid receives from a bunch of nerds.  Get on the field and make it happen.  If you leave after that, then I may be sad.

Are you a stickler for TPS reports?

You have no idea.  I love everything about TPS reports.

Also, right now, I'm staring at my Terry Tate bobblehead!  I live that life :(

Toomer's makes terrible lemonade (true fact)

(Pro TiP: Guthrie's Sauce is very good)

I do not mind Toomer's lemonade.  It has been years since I've had any, but how can you not love pink flavored sugar water.

Guthrie's is very good, but it is fatty fat fat material.  Not very good for you.  I preferred Breezeway's grilled meal while I was down there.

Is it true that there is a Walgreen's going up on Toomer's Corner?

Interesting note, my grandfather almost bought Toomer's way back when!  I doubt anything will happen to that space as it's pretty tiny and it would be hard for anyone to really make money though.  I bet the apartments above it make more than the shop itself (sans gamedays of course).

What is your opinion on your newest conference member?  Bet you can't wait to see the real live yell leaders in action and watch their bad ass bad march back and forth across your field at halftime!

It's nothing more than a money grab.  The race for the megaconference has officially started.  I do not want Missouri or OU and FSU, GaTech and VaTech are not coming because of the relationship between the league and its state schools and the relationship between the SEC and ACC leaders.

One interesting concept that I've heard is the SEC going to 16 teams, splitting to 4, 4 team divisions and then having a 4 team playoff for the conference championship.  Do you see the beginning of a 16 team national championship playoff?  SEC, PAC10, BIG10 and 4 randoms anyone?

Do you enjoy rubbing Gene Chizik in Iowa State's buttery face?

I do not rub Chizik in anyone's buttery face.  I do not like Chizik.  Auburn's success lies with Guz Mahlzan and his high tempo offense.  We pay our assistant coaches insane amounts of money, and they come through.

THe only thing I know of Iowa State is that they had that one kid that beat Auburn in the NCAA tourny one year and then failed in the Assocation, and Chizik sucked while there.

How can we pay our players large sums of money and not get caught?  Or, get caught but have no penalties?  Please give as many details as possible.

I do not have the answers for this one, as Auburn has a bad history in both areas.  Cheating is pretty rampant down here, and I fully acknowledge that Cam is a crook through and through.  Best college football player I have ever seen, but still crooked as they come.

why do you hate black people?

I don't hate black people.  It's an unfortunate by product of being from the South, that this stereotype is attached.
