Jerome Tang Coaches Kansas State Basketball / Re: Jack Harry
« on: December 12, 2013, 10:08:50 AM »
The idiot KU fans don't care about gay rights.  If they did they would stop trying to exploit their cause for their own personal vendetta against Jack Harry.  These kind of frivolous witch hunts only bring negative attention and hurt the efforts of the legitimate casuses/organizations.

The fact that so many KU fans are too delusional and self absorbed to understand this is pretty telling to me.  I mean all fans bases have idiots but this is a whole new level of blind selfish stupidity.

I didn't realize Bleacher Report had an actual staff of writers.  I always assumed they paid freelancers with some cigarettes and Playboys

Jason king was on keitzman today.   I guess he left ESPN to go to bleacher report.  Seems like a strange move to me.  The funny thing is kk went off on this jack Harry thing and basically said all the people talking about it are pathetic haters and not real media.  Then like five minutes later he had Jason king on as his college bball "expert".

We were out of sync all day after taking the 21-0 lead.  Some weird play calling and a bunch of penalties.  So many drives seemed to stall right at the ku thirty.  Gave up too many sacks and negative running plays.

Stil we ran it pretty much at will and shut down ku's offense with ease.  We took away sims and forced heaps into interceptions.  Yeah he completed some passes but you always had the feeling it was a matter of time before he threw a pick.  He tried fitting way too many balls into tight spots the turnovers were no accident.

Everybody was excited about beating a bunch of nortards and went overboard with expectations

Its not like OU is some unbeatable juggernaut.  We were favored in this game.  Sometimes you just play like crap and some injuries hurt worse than others.

I'm honestly just really concerned that after we beat them they lose 4 or 5 other games and fall out of the top 25. I'm really scared that what looks like a quality win at the beginning of the season will end up actually hurting our SOS and all of the pundits will be using our weak non-conference schedule as a reason to keep us out of the playoff.  :frown:

I hope it's not like when we played Miami a couple of years ago except of course Miami is a better program from a stronger conference.  Still I'm guessing the score will be similar to when Miami played in MHK.  I always felt like we beat up on Miami so bad in that game they were never the same afterwards.  Maybe we should be careful to ease up on Auburn a little bit so we don't damage them for the rest of the season.

The lineup and talent next year looks better on paper but this team is soft man.  oscar is making these guys soft and I don't konw how you get around that.  We'll never have so much talent here that we can be pussies and still win.  Unless one of these new guys is just a badass in your face leader than we're pretty much screwed.

Angel was second team all big 12 and one of the top few returning players in the league.  The rest suck and would have graduated last year anyway.  I really don't see much of a question here?  Angel would not be sitting out "injured" if he was still at KSU.

So do we line up in a base 4-3 this week instead of mostly nickel?  I know Evans has practiced at safety so maybe he plays there this week in Ty's spot.  The sad thing is I think Evans is a better tackler as the third LB than Tre Walker is.  No way Tre defeats the block and makes the sack that Evans made last week.

I've read several things recently that make me realize a lot these KU fans actually have no idea what an endowment is.  They honestly seem to think they can just pull the money from the endowment to redo their football stadium.

Rewatching now and eff I know our d gave up a lot of crap but man they stepped up on 3rd and 4th and short

TCU's offense hasn't been good but that qb might be the most talented in the league and they have some athletes at wr too.  They have some physical backs that run it pretty well too.  I think their skill talent on offense is among the best in the big 12 especially when they can use Boykin at wr.  I have a feeling they give Baylor a scare next week.

I was ok with the run on first down but I'm not sure what that second down play was.  Should have thrown it down the line to Lockett or something.

They've got to find another solution at that safety spot.  Maybe Evans moves there and somebody else plays nickel.  Well be in more 3 lb sets these next two weeks anyway.

cleaning a hair-clogged drain smell is the most godawful thing.  give me dry trap/sewer smell over it any day of the week...

Can you just pour some of that draino crap down there to dissovle it all?

I didn't like the Weber hire but he's doing the right things with football.  Obviously the hire to replace Snyder is going to be key.  So far he's putting the right things in place to help him bring in a quality replacement.

It doesn't have to be football only but I think success is football is most important and will help the entire athletic department.  Football is going to drive the bus for KSU and 90% of BCS schools.  KU is unique in that bball is tops, but look what that does to the football program.  It's much much easier to be good at both when football is your main sport and nearly impossible to do consistently when bball is most important.

I think KU has a decent chance of beating either WVU or Iowa State. Both of those teams are abysmal.

WVU beats KU by three touchdowns. Minimum.

I don't know about that. Is the game in Lawrence or Morgantown?

Lawrence

21 would be a pretty big spread then for a team that has had as much trouble moving the football as West Virginia has. I bet they win by something in the 12-17 range.

My take on wva is they are pretty good against the run but can't defend the pass.  That doesn't exactly bode well for ku who cant pass at all and can only sort of kind of run it a little.  On offense wva has had some good offensive games and some others were they struggled.  Most of their good games have been at home, it will interesting to see how they do in Lawrence on a neutral field.

If you like fighting take up MMA or something like that.  Anyone that likes to street fight is either just a stupid kid who doesn't know any better yet or an idiot.

1.  One time my sophomore year in college, but i have not come close since.
2.  I saw two girls fight at the American royal bbq last month.  Seems like the only fights I see these days are between girls.
3. No
4. Only if I was jumped or attacked
5 . No I wouldn't, fighting is for kids IMO.  A man should only fight when he or a loved one is in real physical danger.  The way I see it is when you get in a fight you don't know how far the other guy will take it.  For all you know he may be willing to beat you to death should he get the chance.  So when you enter into a fight you have to think you are entering into a life and death situation.  I'm not willing to beat a man to death over something stupid so I don't fight over stupid things.

Last year there was still that "residue of toughness" leftover from Frank.  I think we saw for the first time Friday what things are going to fully look like under oscar.  Not to brag but when oscar was hired I predicted things would go well in year one because of it would be a good blend of styles.  I think oscar does a good job coaching certain things but toughness isn't one of them and it's hard to win here without that.

If not for all of the unforced second-down miscues of KU, OSU would've had a headache yesterday.

By headache I think he means Gundy might have had to pay attention to the game and make some type of adjustment.

Currently at .305 points per play and 5.1 yards per play. On pace to be K-State's best defense since 2003, granted there were mainly bad defenses since then.

The three teams we have left are not exactly offensive forces either.

I had a K-State and Chiefs football outfit when I was a kid. I wore them on Saturday and Sundays with the pads, helmet, and everything. I also sat My K-State/Chiefs trolls in front of the TV for good luck. I'm pretty sure they're why we beat Elway with Montana on MNF. I think you can be both.

You can get away with  pretty much anything when you're a kid.  But there comes a time where you have to sit down look yourself in the mirrior and decide what type of person you want to be.  Once you make that decision there is no turnning back.
