What is everyone's view on getting back with old flames?


Dated a girl for about a year and broke up with her September of 11. She took it rough, defriended me on FB and everything.

Feel like i maybe made a mistake as she's a real nice girl and I just kind of panic'd at the 1 year mark and broke it off quickly. I started texting her again a couple months ago, after getting throught the hate texts she met me for drinks last week and we are planning to hang out again soon.

Update-

Things have been going great! In fact she just re-accepted my FB friend request after 5 months of it sitting in her inbox! (She says she never gets on FB)

She's a gem, ben ji.

Yeah seems like texting could be beneficial but Facebook may be a problem. I mean you have to figure out when/if to change your relationship status and then hope that the person doesn't reject it.

Yup. Especially if you're dating a K-Stater with mutual friends. Then, you're like, "oh, crap. She's friends with her? I hope they don't talk much anymore. Oh? What's that? You're best friends and you're going out this weekend together? Don't bring my name up!  "

See, I see it the opposite way. I think texting has helped save a lot of pussies (guys) out there. The ones who are too scared to pick up the phone after getting the number. They exist, trust me. Some ppl lose that confidence once that liquid encouragement is out of their system.

Definitely in this part of the spectrum. Too bad it's only 2pm and I have to wait for another few hours. I will say though, there are few things better than a good meltdown.

Oh man, I had a really good one in December. That was one for the ages.

So the other day I had an accident with my jeans and the zipper broke in the heat of passion. I then bitched about how hard it is to find 36 long in jeans. Like express, american eagle/etc. all stop at 34 longs and I need 36. She told me that there's a store next to her work that she has a discount at and that she finds 36 longs there for her bros all the time since they're tall. Today at lunch, she bought a pair of jeans for me, without me asking for her to look. To soon or should I be smitten? Cause I'm pretty smitten right now you guys!

Pretty sure I ate there after Thursday BigXII tournament. Was super pak'd. Cannot remember how the food was. I wasn't really hungry. This post is of no help to you.
