Palin is an idiot because the media told me so...which kinda makes me an idiot.  :shakesfist:

fyp

yes, the media made up her mindless quotes bout Russia extending her foreign diplomacy resume...and her idiotic rant about Paul Revere

Yeah, the media told me all that.

u dipcrap

You were there to witness it yourself?

It looks like crap.

It appears to be getting worse.

and the GOP's eyes get big when they see all that power up for grabs. The worse it gets, the better it gets for the Tea Party..am I rite?

No, the worse it looks for everyone.

Unlike you  statists, we don't root for the decline of America, no matter who is in office.

It takes like a half hour and will cost you half as much.  Lazy asses.

I completely understand the union bashing of the East coast states like NY and NJ but the unions operating here aren't in the same realm as those guys.

true.  States that are right to work are a little more sane.

Hey, remember when they made a bunch of bad deals and it sunk Wal Street! those effers.

More incoherent than usual.

Abilene got the hell beaten out of it last night.  My dad took some damage to his brand new camper plus broken siding on his house.  Uncle had the window busted out of his SUV.  Several power poles down.  Baseball or bigger.

Beems isn't old enough yet.    :blindfold:

Like he said, more qualified.

If you get real Bavarian stuff, it is awesome.  I can tolerate the canned stuff in a pinch, but that's like eating a Chips Ahoy instead of mom's homemade cookies.  Doesn't smell bad, sweet.  Amazing.

Liberals circa 2001-2008: THE PATRIOT ACT IS GOING TO MAKE THIS COUNTRY LIKE NAZI GERMANY, BUSH IS A NAZI

Liberals circa 2009-present: *crickets*

Bunch of effing pussies.

Agreed.

Someone needs to have the balls to stand up against this thing.  However, neither side is willing to stand up in front of the stupid and fearful American people and say, "Hey, you know you're handing away your rights just so your chances of dying in a terrorist attack decrease from 'More likely to die by being hit by an asteroid' to 'More likely to die choking on a Bacon milkshake at Denny's'."

They have those?  If so my chances are pretty damn good.

Sheriff Joe strikes again. That mary ju wana is pretty terrible stuff amirite?

WRONG

This was in pima county.  Not Maricopa Co.

pima co. is Tucson, home of sherriff dumstick...errr....dupnik.  Conveniently he said we should wait to hold judgment on what the officers did, unlike when Giffords was shot, we had to judge right away that it was talk radio and the Tea Party.

Unconstitutional to use an autopen.  An autopen could sign anything in the wrong hands.  Must be the president's hand.

The whole act is unconstitutional. Apparently, it just doesn't matter. :dunno:

That's a debatable position.  A machine isn't the president.  Laws must be signed by the president.

Or in this administration's case, sent by executive order or by bureaucratic fiat.

Yeah, and warrants must be obtained to wire tap American citizens, too.

It takes an interpretation of the Constitution to get there.  The Constitution says explicitly that the president must sign.

Not making a judgment on the Patriot act, just stating mechanics and the meaning of words.

Cold or room temp is best.  Tried a warm salsa once at a Mex place in Houston before the Texas Bowl.  Was  :surprised:  :lick:

Oh my God, that video.

Change the wording on the screen to "If we do nothing like hairy read wants, this happens to the seniors of America"

Quote
I wish they would run my life from cradle to grave and take away all my money/savings/capital.

you trust them to run your wars on drugs, terror, immigration...the list goes on. You rely on government in so many aspects of your life that you don't even realized it anymore...You're than entitled.

I expect them to run defense and border access.  I don't trust them to run border access anymore.

71
The govt doesn't "owe" me anything....but you watch the disaster of what is going on in Joplin, MO and say "the FED can't go on the cheap in order help these people".....

well, when you say FED you mean....taxpayers, who have been paying under the average tax rate since post WWII, and there you have it...no federal money available.

Love how because the bar on taxes had been set so ridiculously high in the past, anything less than that is somehow wrong.  Also convenient to ignore the rise of property, sales, death, excise, import, payroll, fica, "unemployment insurance", user fees, licensing fees, mandatory insurance, and payment through higher prices of corporate income taxes.

According to the IRS, If the feds confiscated all income over $114,000 they would net $3.4 trillion. Obama's 2012 budget is $3.6 trillion. Even taking everything over $114,000 would leave Obama with a $200 billion deficit.  Of course the economy would grind to a halt.

Its not a tax problem, its a spending problem. duh.

While the income taxes were higher, other taxes were not as high or non-existent.  Basically paying the same now I'd think.

Only one way to really fuel money into the treasury:  sell off a lot of the vast tracts of land in the west.

Took off for lunch at 435/Metcalf area just after the sirens sounded.  I actually thought they were just the weekly sirens because there weren't any dark skies.  Made a Chipotle run to around 135th and heard the warning come over the radio.  Ran in, got my burrito, drove back to work as the funnel was chasing me.  Turned into the parking lot at work as there were reports of it being at 135th and Metcalf.  Ran in and hopped into the basement with the rest of the staff.  For some reason they kept us down there until it was north of downtown.

The moral of the story is:  Chipotle > mother nature.

eff that bitch.

Remember a couple years back when there was a prediction for Topeka that the conditions were exactly the same as they were when the tornado hit downtown in '68 and every news story was  :runaway:?  I think it sprinkled for a couple minutes.

i do not.

exactly the point.  Nothing happened.  Although that's not tonight.  So far a couple dead in OK (including ok_cat) plus one near Great Bend.
