It's not about money--except to a few shysters like algore.  It's about power and taking it out of the hands of individuals and businesses and putting it in the hands of government, no matter the cost.

Probably less as there's less space to make a fake flop dive feigning injury.

Almost a fantastic end to 2nd OT.  Instead...3rd OT.

You're welcome.

Seriously, you guys should try this stuff.  Very smooth, but unlike crap like Keystone, with a good beer flavor.  Made by a microbrew in Idaho Springs, CO.  Tried it several years ago but hadn't been out there since.  Long had I dreamed of trying it again.  Didn't think you could get it around here, but then I found it in a liquor store in, of all places, Beloit.  Bought all 4 bottles they had.  Couldn't wait to get back home and order me a case.
Where would one find this in T-Town?

Straight off the shelf, probably not going to.  But all the stores in Kansas have the same catalog, so talk to the manager and they can probably order you some.  If not, try the next store.

Got a memory foam mattress topper, but we took it off.  My back couldn't handle it lying on my stomach.

I really want to make a corn and black bean salsa, but plz, list any recipes you like.  Also, I'm sick of Santitas and am looking for a new, unique store bought tortilla chip to try.  Any suggs?  OR, if anyone likes to make their own chips feel free to share your experience.

My favorite salsa recipe:

One jar of Pace Picante Sauce- Mild.   Done.

I prefer medium.

This. Recently tried to "upgrade" to HOT, because I've been all about spicy crap lately, and it just fracking blew my doors off.

HOT salsa is the best on omelets, though. Will try Chingon's recipe (have gas stove  :pbj:)

pace hot is not hot.  They have mild, super mild, and tomato paste.

Can of black beans
Can of corn
Two tomatoes, chopped
One red onion, chopped
Handful of jalapenos, chopped
Chopped cilantro
Squeezed lime juice

Have made one much like this, except with a little olive oil stirred in.

This thread has gone

1 Gonzaga has no football team because its expensive compared to b-ball.
2 Lots of teams are D-1 in b-ball but not f-ball. Like 4 times as many.
3 Gonzaga would be a good fit competition wise
4 Gonzaga would not be a good fit because they are a west coast team and that would wreak havoc on time schedules.
5 Gonzaga would not be a good fit because their budgets for travel would be ridiculous compared to every other school in the conference.  If they wanted to spend that kind of money, they'd get a football team.

Is there supposed to be something funny about this chart ?

RELIGION IS EVIL!!!

Vodka.  Got sick the 2nd weekend of my frosh year.  Only way I can take it now is in a Long Island.

Long John Silver.  Might as well hook up an IV of vegetable oil. Kept trying to like it again and just couldn't do it.

Ate a ton of bacon-cheese popcorn you get in one of those giant tins at Christmas and yacked it up.  Haven't had it since.  Haven't seen it since, either, so I suppose its all good.

I had a history professor named Marshall Frey.  Didn't like her back then either.  She can take that diatribe and jam-it.

That was Marsha Frey.  And she's still there.

Scary part: she's got an identical twin sister. (doesn't live around here fortunately).

Horrible loss for his family and his namesake airport, but a HUGE win for the USA and our fighting men.

what's wrong with the airport? you should go protest the subsidized AA flights that we bring to MHK.

The difference: people actually use MHK.

This wouldn't be for everyone, but my wife and I had a great time in the Seattle area.  It's not rainy in the summer.  You can get away from the heat, though.  Few bugs or flies--we kept the windows open at night and never saw a bug in the room.

Good places to take hikes.  Beautiful 250' waterfall just east of town. Whale watching is well worth it and only a couple hour drive away.  Plenty of time to stroll around the downtown area and enjoy the waterfront.  Olympic Nat'l park is a short drive away.  Got a nice little B&B for only $90 a night just a block from a fairy station in view of downtown.

In all likelihood, we'll be second, but we can have fun and see where teams like texas fall to.  Ran my picks and still had texas as a 4, playing the winner of baylor/nebraska for the right to play the squawks.  We play winner of ou/tech.

That and for some reason certain people on these boards always seem to respond to "pole"

Is there a public record of the votes?  I'd like to know who bumped Duke ahead of us with those 3 points from the tie we were in last week.

1722
It could get worse than that.  If ou beats tech tomorrow in norman and baylor wins in lincoln Wednesday, texas, by virtue of tiebreakers, would be in 7th place.   :bwpopcorn:

Kansas State Football / Football season tickets for sale
« on: February 08, 2010, 08:24:03 PM »
Looking to strike a deal.  As there is no ticket board, I'll do this here.

I typically get football tickets, but this year I will be unable to attend many games, maybe none.  However, it took me three years to get seats near the rest of my group the first time and I don't want to do that again.

So, if anyone is interested, I would be willing to buy the tickets and sell them to someone else.  I will pay the Ahearn donation. The tickets are on the 5 yard line of the bowl end, in about the 8th row of the upper deck.  There is a pair of tickets.  Would rather sell as a pair, because its harder to sell singles.

Might also sell them a "4-pack" if agreeable.  That is, the first 4 home games--I have a better chance of making OSU and texas than the others.

PM if interested.  Would like to get this taken care of before the order form is due in a few weeks.

Losses in front of us:

#10 texass---will pass them
#8 G-town, but they also beat #2 nova, will be close, but I think we might pass them since their loss was to 7-loss and unranked USF.
#5 Mich St.  (twice), with one loss I don't think we would have passed them, but now that they have lost twice, we will pass them.
#2 Nova--will not pass.  Too far ahead and they lost to a top 10 team.

The AP will be interesting.  Will pass Mich St and texass for sure, G-town maybe.  The biggest question is how the tie with Duke is broken.  I have a suspicion that they will pull just ahead of us because they beat #19 Georgia Tech and then BC on the road.  We got two road wins, but they were against weak sisters.  Plus Duke is east coast and our marquee win has sucked bevo balls since we exposed them.

If I had to offer a guess, I say we end up at 8 in both this week.

I once left a Dr. Pepper in the freezer and it exploded all over an almost full box of Eggos.  My mom was pretty pissed.

Ray Kroc did the same thing, except with maple syrup.  That's how the McGriddle was invented.  True story.
