What's the point of the cops coming through and checking ID's if the ID's were already checked at the door? Waste of resources IMO. I'm writing a letter to the city.

Let us know how that works out, for ya...
I'll be sure to include in my letter that I'm sure you deserve to keep your job. It would help if you gave me some secret insidery info about some others in your department doing crap like blackmail, planting evidence, stealing drugs for their own personal use and other awesome but slightly unethical things.

Can't help ya with that. We're as clean as the driven snow.      :blank:

don't tell me you've never sprinkled crack on a dead black male in an attempt to make it look drug related

Or posed a dead body at a crime scene to make it look like an act of masturbation gone horribly wrong.

This thread reeks of suck, and not just from the OP.

Yes.  Clearly the Dyson of threads.

Jerome Tang Coaches Kansas State Basketball / Re: Duke vs Va tech

Remember...we play uk at least once more before selection Sunday.  Big opportunities there.  Maybe even texas, too.

cuse plays nova next Saturday
purdue plays mich st next Sunday
duke goes to Maryland, who will be fighting for their spot in the Dance

If we win out in the regular season, I think the uk win will vault us past duke.  Purdue and cuse aren't many votes ahead of them.  If the chips fall right, maybe a big jump is in order.

nova plays @ cuse
kentucky plays @ tenn

both next Saturday.  Those could be huge if we can take care of our own business.

Instead of studying/caring about my finance class, I showed up just for tests, marked C on every question, handed it in in 2 minutes and walked out.  Got a passing D and really pissed off the teach every time I handed in my test.

After doing that once or twice, the prof should have been smart enough to make a test where there were no "c" answers.

Found out about the ping pong championship 30 minutes before balls flying, hadn't played in a couple of years, ran to sears and bought a cheapo racket, came back and dropped my first game in a best of three round robin, went undefeated the rest of the way to take the money.   The regulars were not very friendly to me for some reason.

Are you Asian?

Gonna remind me of the Hoskins-Walker year.

This. Our whole team wore headbands that year.  I kinda miss them.

Off topic, does anyone else wonder how Chism's (Tenn) headband stays on?

In a secondary move, Gill also announced changes in the helmets.  Citing studies showing that the use of helmets actually increased the amount of injuries compared to other violent contact sports such as rugby, Gill has opted to replace the KU helmets with paper bags. "I wan't to make it as difficult as possible for other teams to know who is who and who we are. This is a positive step in that direction." said Gill.

:users: <--me the day this game is released for probably 18-20 hours straight.

I played the hell out of Civ 3...loved it.   I tried out Civ4 a bit, but while the graphics where more high-tec, it sorta felt clunky to me.  I'd love to get back into Civ though.

Agreed.

I once played a whole game of 4 without a single war.  I didn't change any of the settings from default.  I did like country borders, since there are always annoying foreign soldiers that love to run through my territory.

Still play Civ 3 some.  Civ 4 blows.
I liked Civ 4.  More stuff, more rules to play with, better graphics.  If you don't like the settings/rules you can change them (same as Civ 3). Also the addition of Religion and Corporations added a new dimension to the game.

It was a shame that religion wasn't a factor earlier in the series considering its real world impact that it has had.

Never tried Civ 4.  Just don't have that much time on my hands.  Probably won't play 5, either, for the same reason.

Participated in arguably both the most lopsided intramural football and intramural softball games of all time.

99-7
54-2 (2 innings, called on time limit)

What about when the unions complain about Kansans?

Schlitterbahn Sucks.

They were actually complaining about texans.  They were stupid, though.  We do it for free on goEMAW.com.  They buy billboards.

the teachers are wrong to reject most of the admin demands, but not the lunch one.  they're right to draw the line there.

Only inmates should be forced to eat that garbage, although I hear that its better now than when I was in school.  Kids get all sorts of choices now.  Heck, in K-4 we got milk--2% only.  When I moved across town in 5th grade we got 2%, whole, or chocolate--that was a no-brainer.

Someone following their version of the beliefs to the letter and saying the earth is 5000 y.o. is waaaayyy different than following a religion to walk into a cafe with a bomb strapped to your chest.  If you don't see the difference then you can't be reasoned with and are much closer to those types than you wish to accept.

But that is what I said.

YE's follow their beliefs to the letter as do radical Islamists, the only difference is what the scriptures instruct them to believe.

I certainly understand the difference between the two, but the mindset is very similar in that they are both radical in their beliefs. They are both considered crazy by 99.9% of the population.

Actions on belief makes one a radical.  Believing in a y.e. is simply that, a believer.  Acting or giving aid to a suicide bomber (just one example) makes one a radical.  Thinking you don't like, say, Israel, does not.

I don't consider them (y.e.'s) crazy, and neither should you.  They have a different set of beliefs that's not hurting me or you.  Don't be intolerant.
