Not concerned about how team next year if Spradling leaves. I am concerned about what our old, racist, GPC-lovin' fanbase will think of Frank running of the only white player on our team.

The meltdown from the Tucks is going to be epic.

Will returns next year.  If not, I'll go BigWillie and delete my account.  :ksu:

well....it's been nice knowing you jkeys or whatever

I'll be really sad if JKEYS leaves

Buzz Williams. Bug east is dead.

I wonder how much longer Buzz Williams and Jay Wright will stay at their schools.  I know both at are good, well paying jobs but that conference is going to be a mess for basketball only schools.

Holy crap Skipper, great minds yada yada yada

The image of Knight's program was squeeky clean, he just had a massive ego and let it get out of control.

That and Knight was hired by a Big 10 school 41 freaking years ago.  LOL at Blackcats using that as an example.

Both are known for anger.  IU got rid of Knight for the same reason Ill wouldn't hire Frank.

/rough ridin' mental midgets

Bob Knight tried to beat a student up, not a student-athlete but a student.  Also that was 12 years ago.  12!  I don't know anything about you as a person but I've gleaned from your last two posts that I'm significantly smarter than you.  Don't respond, its a trap.

(LOL @ MIR, who insisted that K-State's program was better than Illinois')

I never once said K-State was a better job, I said they were similar jobs you drunken sociopath.

LOL, at ranking a program 6th all time with no national titles.  They don't rank in the top 10 all time in wins, conference titles, tournament appearances, or tournament wins and have no national title but are the #6 program all time?  I have Gary Parrish and the coaching community on my side and you have this blogger.  The #6 program all time can't get a guy from the CAA who has one good March on his resume.

might have been posted already and i missed it but

"The most recent in a long line of talented Texas Longhorns guards, junior shooting guard J’Covan Brown, has declared himself eligible for the 2012 NBA Draft.

One of the country’s most creative scorers, the variety of offensive moves Brown has in his arsenal have caught the eye of NBA scouts and opposing coaches across the country. During the 2011-2012 season, Brown averaged a career-high 20.1 points per game, also adding 3.3 rebounds per game and 3.8 assists per game."

This thread blows, because of the shitty draft talk.  But if this dude leaves early and gets drafted then team weak draft will have a resounding victory.  What can Brown do (for your NBA team)?  The answer is, not a damn thing.

He can shoot it.  No guarantees about making them, but he'll shoot it.  I could see him as a SG on a second string for a crappy team

He's short, slow, and a good shooter not a great one

that adidas picture would me more applicable if those were professional basketball players.  or rec league basketball players.  or if they knew what a basketball was.

i mean, what's next.  a picture of kanye in some prada tennis shoes?

LOL, that's Kevin Garnett and David Beckham.

damn it.

BTW, KG hasn't been with Adidas since 2010.

LOL robchalkcassidy just claimed Illy is a top 10 job.  Plus "LOCKING DOWN CHICAGO" talking points.

lulz  How do you make it through this crap trim?
:dubious: :nono:

So Cassidy doesn't read goEMAW or listen to the CBS College Basketball podcast.  Me and my buddy Gary Parrish with the help of our elite coaching friends kiiiiilled that talking point, we put it out of business.

Wichita is basically Oklahoma.  Therefore, not a part of TSC.
Well let me speak for the Wichita Pak'r contingent and say you sir can go crawl in a corner and die.

Hey, I'm from Wichita, I get it.  It just reminds me more of OK than it does NEKS.  That's all.

FYI: People who are upset about this need to be more upset at the laws than they are at the Police Chief.  Police departments all over Florida objected to this law before it was passed as making murders harder to prosecute...

I don't think the laws allowed the Sanford PD, to hide evidence, coerce witnesses, and make questionable statements about the victim.  Could be wrong though.  Bad laws don't absolve bad police work.

I know its cool to yuk this crap up, but last night I was leaving my office very late, since it was late I was dressed casually in a track suit and I was wondering if anyone around might think I was stealing and I would run into issues.  This kid was buying rough ridin' skittles and he was killed because some psycho thought he looked like a criminal.  People who think race isn't an issue in this country have no idea what it is like to live with the burden of knowing you could potentially get shot because you look like a criminal.

Clearly you haven't read Thomas Sowell.  Maybe you should change your poor attitude.

Quote
Twice within the past few years, I have been pulled over by the police for driving at night without my headlights on. My car is supposed to turn on the headlights automatically when the light outside is below a certain level, but sometimes I accidentally brush against the controls and inadvertently switch them to manual.

Both times I thanked the policeman because he may well have saved my life. Neither time did I get a ticket or even a warning. In each case, the policeman was white.

Recently a well-known black journalist told me of a very different experience. He happened to be riding along in a police car driven by a white policeman. Ahead of them was a car driving at night with no headlights on and, in the dark, it was impossible to see who was driving it.

When the policeman pulled the car over, a black driver got out and, when the policeman told him that he was driving without his lights on, the driver said, "You only pulled me over because I am black!"

This was said even though he saw the black man who was with the policeman. The driver got a ticket.

Later, when the journalist asked the cop how often he got such responses from black drivers, the reply was "About 80 percent of the time."

Also this reminds me, trim does that Salina cop who pulled me over have a place in the Pak'r characters thread?

Bottom Line - why is Frank unhappy?

He and John Currie hate each other.  Allegedly.

Currie is using his +/- stats to dictate to Frank how he should sub his lineup.  Now I see where Rusty is going with this.  Anyone see rusty and Currie in the same room :horrorsurprise:

http://statsheet.com/mcb/games/2012/03/15/southern-miss-64-kansas-state-70/plus_minus

The url says plus_minus.  I'm sure you're not asking us to glean anything from plus minus, right?

No, let's stick to anecdotes and feelings in this thread.

If you're relegated to using the most useless stat in sports you've lost the argument.  If anyone tried to use +/- to discredit one of your arguments you'd rightfully call them a moron.  The fact that Will and Rodney had the same +/- and Jamar's was 10 points higher tells you all you need to know.

yes, it tells you that who you are on the court with matters a lot. Unfortunately, Martavious has to be on the floor with Martavious 100% of the time and that kind of skews his plus/minus in the wrong direction.

I'm serious! Unless someone honestly played zone in a pickup game, then that would be quite the wacky story!

I played in a pick up game a month ago where they wanted to play zone.  Those dumbasses, including the two guys who proposed playing zone and had no idea what they were doing.  I played the middle of the zone and I can't remember having to cover so much ground playing defense in a pickup game.

I can't even imagine someone proposing zone in pick up basketball.

"Hey guys we should play some zone"
"hahahahaha what???"
"Nah just joshin ya hahahahaha"

It was like three dudes who always played together and me and another rando.  There was no proposal me and the other dude were told we were playing zone.  I thought they were kidding, they certainly were not.  Oh i also forgot to add that my zone team was all over 30, I was likely the youngest and we were playing high schoolers, not just any high schoolers but the ones who are really athletic but otgerwise too shitty at basketball to make their high school team.  Both teams were bad parodies of ourselves.

We also played on a future pro in my home town.  Every varsity and JV player for GCHS would go to a guys house named Mr. Boone and play on the goal.  We would play 3 on 3 dunk ball at 9' and it was brutal.  Amazingly intense and physical.  I really think it helped us though when the season started those games were ridiculous.

Also if you have the chance to play in Dighton's dunk ball tournament do it.  If you don't like contact don't bother.

Dobber I don't know where you live but in Wichita in the Delano district there is a store closing that sells outdoor equipment like goals and all of their stuff is 50% off.

I would tweet interesting non-game related observations all game if I sat there.  you would all love the crap out of it.

Some schools give bloggers a press pass, apply for one, cc would hook you up.  I mean there is a guy with a press pass tweeting about cheerleaders and commenting on the girth of sideline reporters, why not Steve Dave?

DeLoss Dodds sits at the scorers table.

And I would love to see Currie's notes. would be hilarious if he was just drawing dicks all game.

Can't tell if this whole line of thinking is a joke or not, but in case it isn't ... Currie only sits at the scorer's table on road trips, and and he isn't taking notes. He likes to keep track of +/- during the game, see who is playing well or whatever. Carry on.

Well that's worse than dicks?  +/- what a herb, Jesus now I think even worse than him.  Also why doesn't he want to keep women's stats?  FREE DEB!!!

I also love how MiR has come out as a KSU Women's basketball superfan. So cute.

I've been out about it in many other threads.  I watched the second half of the Princeton/KSU game on Trim's laptop during the first half on Syracuse/KSU.

Also lol at Belvis continuing to reply to my posts on Currie at the scorers table but refusing to acknowledge that Currie doesn't sit there during women's games.
