Tracz should be fired, or at least banned from speaking.

It doesn't seem like he understands why people took special notice to the show.

Huh? He's right that there is absolutely nothing wrong with referencing rival mascots. It is a harmless, good-humored tradition. Not sure if you noticed, but he was sanctioned for the use of the Jayhawk - not the Enterprise.

He's also right that this controversy is "downright stupid" - ginned up entirely by twitter trolls who have nothing better to do than take a screen shot (and usually a cropped screen shot at that) completely out of context. What he couldn't say is that the administration's official response was also downright stupid, throwing him under the bus and only reinforcing the lunatic mob. When these trolls do their trolling, there is only one appropriate response: ridicule. Instead we apologize.

Let's be honest, he was sanctioned for the simulated fellatio, despite what our PR wizards said in the press release.

Also, the 30 second video was far worse than the cropped screen shot.

"Our PR wizards" didn't say that, the Big 12 Conference did.

I want Mack to be the next coach of the Fighting Kansas State Wildcat Football team, give him 4 years let him win another Dr. Pepper and crush UT, and then let him ride off in the sunset.

That is sort of like this, actually.

NYC has to have the stupidest cops in America, at what point is the commissioners job at risk?

So the motherfucking commissioner is blaming the incident on the i.d. of Blake by the victim and says that the notion of race having anything to do with this incident as "nonsense." Thing is Blake never said the false arrest was because of his race but how he was treated when he was detained.Bratton's cops will continue to do crap like this because it's obvious that he doesn't want to deal with the behavior of his thugs masquerading as police.

In retrospect, Art Briles would have been an amazing hire for Texas.

In retrospect? At the time everyone thought he would been a great hire. He was their second choice behind Nick freaking Saban.

mmh yeah ok.

He would have given them the "feel good" Texas wins with 70 point blow outs even if they did lose to ND and OU on a regular basis.

You know we're essentially saying the same thing, right?

For the most part Brits never think US Soccer is good enough for anything although England hasn't outperformed the US in international competition in decades. I hate Steve Nicol, I stopped watching ESPNFC because I couldn't stand how smug he is, eff him.

Nope

Yeah they need to fire her ass, slinging drinks is an essential job function freedom of religion does not extend to "I'll do whatever the eff in the name of GOD!" For some reason though I'm sure we won't be seeing fuckface Mike Huckabee grandstanding for this woman.

Does your memory not go back the 20 months or so ago when they hired strong as like their 5th or 6th choice?

Also the narrative when Mack left is that he and his staff just stopped recruiting and the cupboards were beyond bare. If that is the case why are we indicting Charlie Strong after 14 games? There's no way UT makes a bowl last year with butter teeth still there.

do you think it's possible they mumped up the hire?

Going through a half dozen guys before getting someone to say yes generally isn't a blueprint for success.

I won't believe that Texas football is hurting until they are forced to do something desperate...like selling tickets on Groupon.

You might want to look at the top of this very page, bud.

A handful of coaches could come into UT and be successful in year 1.  Charlie Strong appears to not be one of them.  UT has/should have the pull to get one of these coaches.

His seat is certainly hot.

They literally couldnt get that kind of coach 18 months ago and tried their asses off.

gotcha.  so UT is not a program capable of pulling a coach who could be successful in year 1?

And as noted Alvarado was putrid again.  It's bad when Twellmen, who is usually pretty vanilla, is openly calling for players on broadcast because the coach is making such absurd personnel decisions.

Not to nit pick but Twellman is the total opposite of vanilla he takes MLS and US Soccer to task routinely on a variety of topics. He absolutely murdered Jurgen when he left Landon off of the World Cup roster. I think Taylor Twellman is the best analyst in American sports.

I heard from a source that she didn't just flat out refuse to issue marriage licenses. She instead submitted a request that her signature not be necessary for the issuance of the licenses. That way people could still be married but she wouldn't be actively condoning it.

Unfortunately, instead of acting like a grown adult and stating this, she is instead acting like PennsylTucky from Orange is the New Black.

Is your source every person who has reported on this case ever? She didn't want her name on the licenses, unfortunately for all involved her name has to be on the licenses issued in that county because that's the law in Kentucky. The irony in all of this is that her name is going to appear on a lot more licenses issued to gay couples than previously would because people are going there to get married because of this.

Did you guys miss my note about her unknowingly marrying a transgendered man before all of this crap happened? Apparently the MSM missed this because it would call for some interesting questions asked of her, Mike Huckabee, and Ted Cruz.

are people still fighting this fight?

yes, absolutely are

Yes, I think I have some FB friends in this boat.

Also it was a black man who suggested the separate but equal gay marriage license office...although he is African so he hasn't necessarily had the same experience as a black man who grew up in the USA and had parents who were around during segregation.

Much of Africa is crazy conservative christian and really bigoted. Tell me who this African is so I can fight him.

I hope they both catch full blown aids, what an embarrassment

In good news tonight #MyGuy Marcel and Team Canuck handled business tonight and they have a very manageable group for the next round of WCQ.
Group A: Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador, Canada
Group B: Costa Rica, Panama, Haiti, Jamaica
Group C: United States, Trinidad and Tobago, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Guatemala

SW's favorite squad, Jamaica, were 1+ minutes away from being eliminated but got a late goal to survive and advance.

Klinsmann sure sounds committed to sticking with John Brooks and Ventura Alvarado at center back against Mexico. #usmnt

If this happens he deserves to get fired

A win would have been cool but frankly this was the best result for US Soccer. We looked absolutely awful pretty much everywhere but Yedlin, the back four was putrid (Alvarado literally falling on the ball while attempting a clear and giving up a chance in the 8th minute was  ), and one of Jurgen's golden boys yelled at him on camera. Klinsmann has been running the MNT for four years, the world cup was 15 months ago yet this guy is still running this team like some bad person in a lab screwing around with chemicals. He's had absolutely no pressure to perform and has carried himself in that manner. Winning the playoff game may not be essential to keeping his job but he should now feel pressure to perform. No more rough ridin' science experiments, start selecting your best players and play your best line up. It is frustrating watching Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina playing their A teams and on the same night we're playing college students and guys who in no way should be putting that uniform on in the last match before the most important match of the year. Meanwhile he just keeps talking nonsense.

This clown really thinks he motivated Jozy to get fit? Never mind the guy was injured for a month leading up to the Gold Cup.

This pro Federer crowd against John Isner during a night session on Labor Day of the US Open is incredibly disappointing.

agreed.  but not as disappointing as Isner being the lone remaining American in the quarters of the US Open.

American women, on the other hand...

Considering the current state of American men's tennis I thought they collectively did quite well.
