Not anywhere close to the same thing. Ferentz hasn't gotten fired because he has a ridiculous buyout, it's like $13 million, seriously! He also makes a bowl game essentially every year.
This is his 20th year as a head coach, 3 years at Maine 17 at Iowa. He has never had an undefeated non conference record, never.
That is unbelievable. Are you counting bowl losses in the non-conference record?

"preseason 1st team all conference". No one values a FB in this conference, besides K-State, so it's kind of a moot point. I've never understood the "this coaching staff has an agenda on who they play" crowd.
