Great headline. It could have been "Working Poor Most Affected by Illegal Immigration Support Trump", but I guess that isn't demeaning enough.
What working poor people are affected by illegal immigration and how?
What sys said. Are you under the assumption that illegal immigrants don't/can't work because it's illegal?
8 using the 5 P5 conference champions plus 3 wildcards would be the worst possible system.
I'm assuming you think the committee would default to SEC and Big 10 brand names?
No, i don't want a playoff that could have a team like this year's USC in it if they would have pulled off an upset in one game. If you're going to an 8 team playoff do it with the 8 that are considered the 8 best teams, not with automatic bids.

Let teams schedule FCS schools that want to schedule FCS schools. I really don't like conferences dictating what schools do with their non conference schedules. What's good for Ohio State isn't good for Purdue. I also don't like that the FCS schools are not getting that revenue. What do you do when you're faced with a problem like North Carolina had when they got bought out, thought they could find a FBS opponent, then couldn't?
I think if you have more FBS opponents looking for other FBS opponents, this problem will be much less likely. I agree that Kansas shouldn't have the same scheduling philosophy as Oklahoma but the worst of the Sun Belt or whatever is plenty bad enough for them to play.
Personally, I would like for FCS teams to scrimmage in April against FBS teams and they can get their pay day that way. The Spring Games get much better as there is actually a little bit of relevancy, attendance would probably improve but the game would not count on anyone's record.
I think the NCAA should manage all OOC scheduling.
What about when the CFP expands to 8 teams in the near future? Looking at the last couple of years of final standings, getting two Big XII teams in without a championship game seems like a lock.
Depends on how they want to do it.
Will it be the top 8 teams in the standings? More conference champs from other conferences? Do they demand one G5 conference champ get in?
Lots of theoretical stuff there.
so we're hiring Mike Stoops? eff

Seriously don't get the Lucha love. I mean it's pretty decent. It's no Wahoo or CocoBolos that's for sure.
This entire discussion is nonsensical. The Big 12 is not going to be allowed to stack the deck in its own favor. The rest of the conferences simply won't allow it, nor should they. The conference is going to grab a couple teams, probably Houston and Cincinnati, and have a real live conference championship like every other major conference does by 2017.
This is a much better argument than MIR's there-are-no-scenarios argument.
That was literally the first thing I said when rusty brought it up, read better.
Think better. Don't say it won't happen because other conference think it gives the Big 12 an unfair advantage, while simultaneously saying that it won't give the Big 12 an advantage.

uh yeah. i just gave him a scenario where a championship game would be beneficial.Still waiting for someone to present the scenario in which it would be beneficial to the Big 12. It's been four days with this and I've yet to read one.Where two 11-1 Big 12 teams are ranked 5th and 6th, and the undefeated ACC champ is playing 24th ranked Duke in the ACC championship game.
You do understand that the winner of our game would be 12-1, right?
The premise is that we are trying to get one in the playoff, not both. If you are trying to get two in the playoff, yes, the analysis is different. But that possibility is so remote that I don't think it is worth spending much time on.
Nothing better than seeing people from Iowa cry
Tampa Bay did.A Rutgers throwaway? No thanks.
Rutgers didn't throw him away, dummy.
