I wouldn't say being injury prone is the same as being "soft".

But bigger picture, I would like to see us actually use the little QB talent we manage we recruit.  If we get Knight, Delton would think pretty lowly of his talents if he didn't walk.

Yeah that's another thing I didn't mention, instead of losing one of our young QBs on the roster that it seems we're headed for that would seemingly grease the skids for another to go.

Kinda surprised none of our other Dline were honorable mention.

They were good all year. This may be a product of one being good and another being good the next but not one of them was particularly consistent throughout the season.

I imagine on film he looks good because he absolutely is a good cover corner, very few can just run by him and get open. The issue we all have with him is that he displays no ball skills at all. I learned listening to the post game show on Saturday that our secondary is instructed NOT to look back at the ball.

You don't know that.

I don't want us to keep recruiting QBs, especially high school studs and then going to recruit jucos and 5th years over the top of their heads. If you're going to preach process, continually recruiting transfer quarterbacks does not help the guys you have nor does it help you with recruiting other stud high school quarterbacks; it's pretty much the opposite of process.

Of all people, K-State fans on this board should be the people least in this world that would be YOLO about this. Trevor Knight was trashed on this board last year, and I'm pretty sure ok_cat was the one with the most to say. Also how many freaking times do we hear those data points about Snyder and second year QBs in his system. My biggest frustration with Hubener at QB this year is we lost a year of development of all our other QBs in a rebuilding year.

I'm very happy I stuck with a backup kicker for my guy. I knew watching Jack in high school that he'd be a stud. And lol with us having two place kickers honored and neither of them punts or does kickoffs. That's certainly a big 12 first and I wouldn't be surprised if it's nationally a first.

Like all great K-State kickers, I'd assume McCrane has a kicking brother.

FCS uses byes and they do just fine. I actually think byes is the best way, there should be a reward for a team that conquers a better season than a team like USC in your previous example.

No you're both right but those jobs that illegals take can certainly be had by anyone who wants them. I've seen countless stories from harvesters in California that feel they have to use illegals to do their work because others won't. I know the work that illegals do in rural Kansas and I know for a fact those jobs are available to people who want to do that. It's much easier to get government assistance than to do back breaking work for a penance of what you can get by not doing that job while seeking out something more reliable.

If you're willing to pick fruit, clean toilets, or gut cows you will have absolutely no problem finding work in this country, none.

No, i don't want a playoff that could have a team like this year's USC in it if they would have pulled off an upset in one game. If you're going to an 8 team playoff do it with the 8 that are considered the 8 best teams, not with automatic bids.

Let teams schedule FCS schools that want to schedule FCS schools. I really don't like conferences dictating what schools do with their non conference schedules. What's good for Ohio State isn't good for Purdue. I also don't like that the FCS schools are not getting that revenue. What do you do when you're faced with a problem like North Carolina had when they got bought out, thought they could find a FBS opponent, then couldn't?

I think if you have more FBS opponents looking for other FBS opponents, this problem will be much less likely.  I agree that Kansas shouldn't have the same scheduling philosophy as Oklahoma but the worst of the Sun Belt or whatever is plenty bad enough for them to play.

Personally, I would like for FCS teams to scrimmage in April against FBS teams and they can get their pay day that way.  The Spring Games get much better as there is actually a little bit of relevancy, attendance would probably improve but the game would not count on anyone's record.

What about when the CFP expands to 8 teams in the near future? Looking at the last couple of years of final standings, getting two Big XII teams in without a championship game seems like a lock.

Depends on how they want to do it.

Will it be the top 8 teams in the standings?  More conference champs from other conferences?  Do they demand one G5 conference champ get in?

Lots of theoretical stuff there.

Has to be five conference champs and 3 wildcards.
