There are demographics for gun owners if you want to look at that. Not too shocking.

Would the responses have been different if the question was phrased, "Do you have a gun"?

A lil old school, but I'd put Mike Evans and Chuckie Williams in the top 5. Evans is still the only college player, I know of, who could throw up a half court hook shot and not be riding the bench afterwards (although making the shot prolly did help).

grandpa?

Yes, I was at that game.     :cyclist:

If you think she's turned away from the dark side, get her one of these. It's the ultimate test.

Grats to Oregon and DC :bong:
They may have legalized it, but in reality, no one can afford to go into business selling it. Not with the IRS taxing the businesses at a 80-90% tax rate.

Check the scores of all the games in SF so far. Maybe I'm not so wrong.

Thoughts so far:

1) Outfielders are playing for the deep ball. Giants swing level, for the most part, so almost every one of their hits have been grounders or bloop drops in front of the OF's. With the Royals speed, pull them in closer.

2) When was the last time the Royals attempted a stolen base? Going against their strength.

3) When was the last time they used the bunt to advance a base runner? Or, even to get a runner on, as the Giants play back. Again, going against their strength.

4) Very, very rarely do they shift to the left handed batter. It has come back to bite them time and time again.

5) They used Dyson, a very weak left handed hitter, as a starter, taking Cain out of his great center fielding ability.

6) They rarely swing at the first pitch, even though the Giants predominately  use a fast ball down the middle to get ahead in the count.

7) They haven't pinch hit.

8) Not running aggressively. That's what has been scoring the runs for the Giants.

For a team built to play small-ball, they are being coached in these SF games to be a long ball hitting team.

Bumgarner doesn't look unhittable at all.  We are just sucking balls at hitting hittable pitches.

Which is always his first pitch down the center fast ball

Should have stayed with Aoki. At least with Cain in center, that last one would have been caught. Aoki can bunt, too. Dyson is only a late game sub.

Maybe they should take a page from Giants and try to bunt from time to time. Pudgy Pablo may have probs with that. If nothing else, Bum always throws a meatball for a first pitch strike.

Hey guys, I saw on ESPN that no team to go up 2-0 in the LSC (that's A and N both) has ever NOT advanced to the World Series (since '85, in which they made it a 7 game series). I mean, I know that's a lot of qualifiers, BUT HOW EXCITING!!!!

i don't think that's accurate.  i think it's maybe no team to go up 2-0 on the road.

Royals started 0-2 in 85, on the road.

Contraception is already so cheap and readily available that making it "free" is unlikely to have much impact on the number of abortions. People either are, or are not, too stupid to obtain/use contraception if they don't want kids. Abortions are declining because of (1) state restrictions on abortion, and (2) shifting public opinion on abortion.

As to the contraception = murder point, I suppose some might believe that, but there's a pretty significant difference between preventing conception or embryo implantation and killing a fetus that, if not viable, has actually developed into some semblance of a human being with a heart, brain, nerves, etc. The silver lining of morning-after pills being available OTC and at hospitals is that it further reduces any argument for the necessity of abortion.

When financial and medical barriers are removed, it turns out teenagers this form of birth control more than they use pills: nearly three-quarters of the CHOICE Project participants in this study used some form of LARC, such as an IUD. Separate research has found that, nationally, just 4.5 percent of teenagers use this method.

Separate programs have had similarly dramatic results: Colorado saw teen birth rates decline 40 percent when it began providing free access to IUDs.

"We found that in a cohort of teenage girls and women for whom barriers to contraception (lack of knowledge, limited access, and cost) are removed and the use of the most effective contraceptive methods is encouraged, a large percentage opted to use LARC methods," the authors write.
