Hey everybody! Highsteppercat is back, and apparently he has been having quite an adventurous summer. He just returned from his journeys and shared these highlights with me...

His first stop was Brazil for the world cup where he got an amazing close up view of that amazing shot against Portugal. America!

I heard a rumor the med school doesn't even need a building anymore. Something about all the lectures being podcasted and posted online for the students to watch at their own convenience from their living rooms, hence the ability to expand the Wichita and Salina campuses. The only reason they ever stepped foot on campus was for monthly computerized exams (taken in the library), weekly mandatory meetings, occasional simulations, and cadaver lab, which if trends continue may eventually be phased out in favor of 3D anatomy software.

Google Earth path says only .5 miles from campus.

Can confirm.

So yeah, an elite 23,000 seat basketball arena with dining, bars etc. etc. only .5 miles from campus.  Sounds terrible.   Also noticed that there appears to be a number of  along the route from campus to Rupp.

Rupp's downtown Lexington so everything's nearby. Tolly-Ho for a burger, Town Branch for a bourbon ale , West Sixth
