My gosh guys, watching DWW right now. Really wish they would have left the extended scene with Major Fambrough in there.

I loved The War so, so much when I was 12. Really spoke to me and stuff.

Me too.

Open Range is v. good, but I'm voting for Waterworld. I hope everyone else does too, so that you have to watch that abomination.

Please don't do this. A lot of people are voting for The Postman as well.

I had totally forgotten about "A Perfect World", pretty fantastic flick.

It is.

Scott Tenorman (must die) Chili > *

But there are so many fantastic episodes which deal with political and social commentary.

Yes and yes. I should watch current episodes more regularly (I rarely watch)

We all know that K. Costner is probably the best and most versatile actor (other than Nic Cage) on the planet.

I Just watched the Father's Day mainstay Field of Dreams, and am definitely going to watch Dances With Wolves (infinite raccoons and stars), but what other great Costner flicks should I watch this week? You can still vote for all-time great film DWW.

Give me your top 5.

Major roles only.

Complete Stud/ Boss Kevin Costner as "Devil" Anse Hatfield in the mini-series Hatfields and McCoys.

Quasi-annual watching of Field of Dreams tonight.

James Earl Jones is too great.

Hud is way more anti-advanced stats than Ryan FWIW.

At least he understands patience.

hey ryan, shut up you dumbass. "the white sox aren't paying adam dunn to take walks" (aka get on base) "he strikes out too much, his batting average is too low, he doesn't have enough rbi's"

adam dunn career ops: 860 career ops+: 124

vs.

alex gordon career ops: 782 career ops+: 111

billy butler career ops: 813 career ops+: 119

The white sox certainly paid for an .860 career OPS, however Dunn has only put up a .734 OPS (98 OPS+) for them.

yeah, i get that. but ryan was talking about his career homers and rbi's. ryan was criticizing him in order to take a shot at sabermetrics lovers. "oh, walks are bad, they don't advance runner's yada yada, not enough rbi's blah blah blah."

ryan is a douche. he's so passive aggressive and snooty about new school thinking. that's my beef with him.

that and he's mean to rex  :curse:

I like Ryan's delivery, and it's funny when he PIs Hud from time to time, but his rigid old-school thinking regarding hitting is horrible.  Really like how Hud has been preaching patience even before the hitting coach change. He was towing the "aggressive" company line for awhile this season, but he's been total "wait for your pitch for awhile."

Also, Hud could easily kick the crap out of Ryan so that should count for something.

Hud's constant unawareness is pretty comical.

Ryan goes on about how hot the Royals are.

Hud's response: Lotta ground to make up in the central (currently 1 game out of first after today's win).

And don't look now, but the Royals have jumped from 14th in AL runs scored to 10th (273).

This is current, as in 4:02 pm.

It's for our guy Dick. I'm not worthy.

I don't think our guy seven's accomplishment can be overstated. Really a great triumph for our resident picky eater.

Was  at the chance for a LoCain highlight-reel catch there.

But hey, no need to risk an injury up 5-0.

pushups/situps before you mow - yes

Definite key here. The pre-mow pump workout is very important, especially if you're going to be shirtless, which I know you will be.

I'm watching the replay, because I didn't get a chance to see the game live. Currently  :lol:ling at Ryan making fun of Hud for calling the moon a planet a few weeks ago.

Great stuff.

Ryan: And I'm sure the moon is happy to be referred to correctly as a moon.

Hud: Well, you know, it really does look like a beautiful planet out there. Depends on what state of mind you're in.

Ryan: I'm not sure what state of mind someone would have to be in to think that the moon is a planet.

Just straight garbage  :flush:

Yep, the Heat are hot garbage. Credit to LeBron for carrying them this far. It'll be an interesting off-season in Miami regardless of whether they can mount a historic comeback.
