Some prop bets:

Will any B12 team win the National title (ISU, KU, KSU, OU, OSU, UT, BAY): Yes - 10/1, No - 1/18 (homer)

Number of B12 tourney wins: O/U 8 wins. O - 5/8, U - 13/10. My bracket has B12 w/ 12 (homer).

Will Wich. St. win the NCAA Tournament:  NO - 1/35

Team w/ most NCAA Tournament wins: Iowa State or UCLA 20/23.

Really going out on a limb here!

BTW,

2015 NCAA Football National Champions Kansas State 75/1  :fatty:

I'm betting $1 million on each pick.

Holy traps Moose.  Dude is looking powerful.

Moose is the game changer this year. If Gordon, Hos and Perez hit the same clip they did last year and Moose steps up to that level, we'll be pretty salty at the plate. I've been around for years and years of Royals letdown, but this year has be a little

wet blanket alert.  moose raked in spring training last year .

He didn't have the same physique last year.

I think one ray of sunshine is UK's low 3-point shooting percentage. K-State always relies heavily on help defense, and this is especially so against teams with talented individual players. When you mix that with opponents who can really shoot it well from long range (ISU, Baylor, even OU to some extent) it becomes really tough for our Cats. K-State helps and helps, but eventually someone is left open from long range and it burns us.

This is less likely to be the case vs a team like Kentucky. Sure, it will be an uphill battle keeping UK off the offensive glass and off of the free throw line, but not having to deal with that additional element at least keeps this game in the winnable category imo.

I really want to win too. Playing WSU in a "nothing to lose" scenario would be a treat imo.

I like the color combinations of the NCAA tournament floors that are duplicated at all the tourney sites.

I prefer when the venue makes the floor.  Uniform court NCAA nazi branding renders arenas devoid of character.

Haha, losers. That's what you get for banking your income on MMA dorks instead of EMAW U.

took the kid to see Mr Peabody and Sherman after daycare today.   Very cute movie.

Yeah, not as  funny as The Lego Movie, but super adorbs and still very funny.

Sad to lose Mus. Out of the Davis-Gus combo I like Davis more, and I really like Gus.

Though happy with the Bruceketball results, I can't get over how much fun jizzing my pants over a Pearl hire would have been.

Are we doing good now?  I heard we weren't doing good earlier.

The team juked us, wanting us to feel sad by losing, and then they were like "lol jk we were good the whole time"

In reality, I think this team just had some real life kinks to work out.  There were questions as to where the replacement offense would come from with the loss of the Davis and King types. Bigger questions loomed with regard to former relievers stepping into starting roles and probably more importantly untested arms replacing those guys in bullpen roles, plus Matthys had to figure some things out after coming off injury.

You could also say that the schedule has lightened extensively and that the Cats are somewhere in between the early struggles and the current hot streak.

Brad's Lumberjacks made it to the second weekend for me as well.

You pick the games with the actual teams left to mystery.  I could figure out a few (didn't try too hard to figure out identites). Easily picked out K-State which let my homerism shine through.

My final four: Florida v Villanova, Arizona v L'Ville. Florida beats Arizona in title game.

3 B12 teams in S16, none in E8.

Meyer is B12 Player of the Week. Broke out of early season funk like a boss.

9-for-16, 6 R, 11 RBI, 2 2B, 2 HR in last five games. He came into that third Iowa game hitting just 2-for-24 (.083) and has upped his season batting average to .275. He's now slugging at .500 for the season with an OPB of .340 for an OPS of .840.

During his hot streak his OPS was an astonishing 2.024 (I didn't even know they went that high).

This offense is starting to come around.

I recently discovered that video as well.

...basically what watching those highlights makes me feel like.

Those jerseys. I want us to wear them always and forever.

These are some pretty crazy stats. I bet by Foster's senior year, we're going to our 8th straight tournament and it's the 5th longest active streak.

Raftery: And it's the eighth consecutive NCAA tournament appearance for the Wildcats...

Reggie Miller: and it's their highest seed since Jacob Pullen and Denis Clemente lead them to the Elite 8 under Frank Martin. It all started with Bob Huggins, then Micheal Beasley and now Marcus Foster and Westicles have lead the Wildcats to their first No. 1 seed in school history.

Raftery: Their a consistent power and...ooh the kiss from Foster!

As the No. 1 seed and B12 (maybe 12 teams by then, who knows?) champ Cats demolish some pud No. 16 seed team.

Big 8/ Big 12 basketball has had a certain flavor to it's production as long as I can remember. My only hope is that they can hold on to that somewhat with the change.  I really like the Saturday pregame shows too.

You fuckers that can attend need to go and raise hell.

Imma be there. WILL YOU?

If not I'll double heckle the heck out of the umps, just for you

Weeknight games don't work for me because of my work schedule.

It sounds like our pitching staff did everything they could to give the game away after we pulled our starter at 5 1/3.

Great start from a guy who's only gone 5.1 innings all year coming in.

5.2 innings, 2 hits, 2 BB, 5 K. He got tagged with the two runs in the 6th, but the leadoff hitter (Gruber) reached on an error with one out. Then Griep struck out the next batter, before intentionally walking their three-hole hitter.  Jordan Floyd came in to face a sub .200 hitter and promptly gave up a double down the line.  Still, only 1 of those runs was earned.

Nice to see back-to-back big games from Mitch Meyer. 2-3 with 2 runs and 3 RBI on Sunday then the 3-run bomb tonight.  That's huge for the K-State offense.

So he signs with the Braves for the same amount the Royals offered as their qualifying offer? And the best he can say is he wanted to "try" the NL? Looks like Dayton meant it when he said the answer was "within" the Royals' roster.   :dunno:

Guess it makes sense. If he wasn't going to stay in KC might as deal with Moore's old club. They still get the draft pick right?
