So... Dr. Joda's prognosis runs the gamut from Perez missing almost no time to him losing the entire season.

Basically, read he does need surgery so at least several weeks then but without knowing anything else about it I couldn't even make a guess.

Edit: should probably add that I doubt they allow him to do much catching for quite some time so he may just be shut down most of the year since the Royals don't really have a place for him if he's not catching.

Either it's bad info on the meniscus tear or bad info on the armchair surgeons on this BBS. 

Meniscus tears are probably the most bi-polar injury possible. Some people don't need surgery and just play through the pain, some no surgery and and a long recovery (6ish weeks is about right), some need a minor surgery that only takes a couple weeks to come back from, some need a major surgery that could keep him out the whole year. It all depends on what part of the meniscus and how big the tear is.

I think yes. I mean, they are technically in the state. I think we TSC for them, but if there was ever a game where the 'Hawks played the Shox, I think I know who I would be rooting for.

I'll TSC my ass off for the Shox as long as they don't play any BXII teams, especially if they get to Kentucky. I might go buy a Shocker t-shirt if they play Kentucky (well, maybe just borrow one). But 3 top line seeds and 100% participation? Drink it up boys, the state of Kansas is this years elite basketball state  (+1 with black and gold)

doug is very good. hilarious that he gets mentions like that from Mitch though.  Mitch calls B12 stuff and sees much better athletes constantly.

Caught a bit of the Evansville/MOSt game where Mitch talked about about dougie. Brought up the him and Blake Griffin being the only SO to average 23? pt/game for a season. Then either Mitch or his partner brought up that Blake had something like 90 dunks his SO season... Dougie has 0. I  for a good minute

He's the clearcut 3rd best coach in a really good basketball league. I don't think he will ever be the elite recruiter self and Barnes are though.

He's never going to be an elite recruiter, but I still have a gut feeling we're going to finally start getting some name talent coming in (through Frank as opposed to Huggs residual) enough so to consider him a above-average recruiter. Add in that I agree he's top 3 in coaching ability and I really do think Frank is easily one of the best all around head coaches in the league.

This may be the sunshine pumper coming out in me, but I truely believe we are getting very close to the point where Martin begins landing some of these elite mentions we've been recieving in recent years. It feels like in the first few years Frank's national perception was one of someone who was horrible to play under and an angry hothead. I get the impression that while there's still a good chunck of the country who see him that way the majority perception is shifting to one of him as a passionate coach who if you give him everything you've got and work hard he'll get the best out of you. While this won't appeal to alot of the one and dones and players who think they're too good to need coaching, there's still plenty of quality players out there who feel like someone pushing them like that will get them better and I think more and more of those players are going to start looking at KSU as a place they want to play.

Again, I may just have drank too much purple kool-aid after yesterdays win, but I really, really hope I'm right.

With absolutely no hyperbole and with apologies to Trim and EMAWgeddon, I don't think I've ever seen a funnier tweet.  That guy is absolutely hilarious and aware of pretty much everything.

Just when you think that you've seen the best there is from English (and thus the best from anyone) he does something like this. 

does English read goEMAW?  he might be my favorite player (including our team)

It really is too bad English didn't come to KSU. Besides how much better a stud guard would make us right now, he would probably be a goEMAW retired jersey. I imagine logging into this site and seeing English's smiling mug gracing the banner next to the pakhead.

The pigaggie obsession with KSU has been an honest, angry one and a true beauty to behold.  Hats off to the pigaggies, we own them.

Initially I thought pigaggie was just an angrier version of floodaggie, but I'm now thinking it's a whole fanbase embodying all of Beemz multiple personalities.
