Oh, _FAN. All these years as a K-State fan and you've never learned.

Yeah, I know...

we have really had it pretty rough ridin' good on the bball side for the last 6 years. Don't be dumb, you guys.

Its been great. But this situation is so messed up its hard to see something good, let alone something great (Pearl) coming out of it.

It's starting, you guys.

If Frank Martin leaves, Pearl would be magic at K-State. Would pick up where Frank left off, maybe go farther

Please don't post anything like this. Seeing a "name" national writer even make the connection gets my hopes up... and would devestate me even more when it doesn't happen.

I wonder how excited Frank will be when he realizes he's not even second fiddle at USC? I don't care what the fans and AD say about supporting basketball, but football and baseball will always be #1 & 2 at USC.

3503
At this point I'm pretty frustrated that Frank would leave for S. Carolina, but the more players that leave the more :chainsaw:I'll get. IF
Currie makes a good hire who keeps the program at around its current level I'll probably get over it pretty quick. But if we end up with another Wooly and/or lose most of the current roster dropping us back into CBB obscurity I'm probably going to be on both the Currie and Frank hate train for a very long time. Honestly, I'm not sure I can handle a repeat of the '90s and early '00s. I love CBB too much to just get pissed at every single KSU game I watch.

$55 million in upgrades to the 12th-best sporting venue in the entire world.  Meanwhile, K-State attempts to put lipstick on a pig.

Guys, we need to make some sacrifices. And for my part I'm more than willing to sacrifice Kim Carnes to get Frank to stay.

3507
Couldn't we just have like Shalee Lehning coach the team for a lot less money?  I would most definitely go to a lot more games if Shalee was coaching.

I'd buy season tickets if Shalee coached in a bikini

rumblings speedo will provide all uniforms when nike deal ends

(like this but in purple and with a basketball?)

I'm good with this as long as HC Lehning gets the memo that we're only recruiting attractive players. Don't think anybody wants to see a Brittney Greiner in a speedo.

Robinson's missed too many bunnies, what a horrible player, blame it on him if we lose, grumble, grumble, grumle

3513
MBB is off the front page.  Almost no reference to Jamar's existence in the recap/quotes of the game.

http://www.kstatesports.com/index-main.html

how we are now 36 hours after the fact with no additional information or clarification from the athletic dept is absolutely just beyond me. i mean, they can't just ignore this.

Unfortunately they can thanks to the tucks and dumbfucks in our fanbase.

Lets fire Frank and run off everybody on the team so we can hire a coach from Northwest Hillbilly Tech and bring in honorable mention juco all-americans and 6-5 white guys from western Kansas to play the 5. Would that make everyone happy?

they think that'd make them happy, joda, but it wouldn't.

I know, we're mother rough ridin' Kansas State. I'm having a bigger meltdown from our fans being rough ridin' retards than anything our teams could ever do to me.

He played a terrible game offensively, but again, if you expected much more from a freshman who is not good offensively against Syracuse in the NCAA tournament you are a rough ridin' idiot.

Yes, I expect him to make layups.  Where do I self report as a rough ridin' idiot?  Expecting him to play better, is not expecting him to have a world beating game.  There's more to life than black and white.

He's missed layups all year why would it change against Syracuse in the tournament. Gips ceiling is a solid 12/8 guy who plays solid defense and does the dirty work. He went for 8/8 today against a team that lost twice all season gmafb if you expected more than that.

eff it. Lets fire Frank and run off everybody on the team so we can hire a coach from Northwest Hillbilly Tech and bring in honorable mention juco all-americans and 6-5 white guys from western Kansas to play the 5. Would that make everyone happy?

Gip is a freshman who is a boards and d guy, if you expected him to play much better in this game you're a rough ridin' idiot. He should have made a couple shots he didn't and caught a couple passes he dropped, but even a perfect game from Gip and we still lose this game.

Oh so he's not supposed to score bunnies? Ok, noted.  And it was more than a couple, he missed 5 layups and 1 dunk.  He also dropped 5+ passes that hit his hands.  It has nothing to do with winning, or emotion.  He simply played a terrible game.

mostly agree.  people can talk all they want (justifiably) about gipson's problem keying the zone offense, but the more important issue was kstate's inability to contain su's guards defensively.

and i agree it was more them playing great than kstate defending poorly.

How can you disregard the countless quick breaks started by Gip's butter fingers?  That had to account for a significant amount of points.

I didn't see poor defense by the guards at all.  Terrible defense by Gip, and JO after his could trouble, but not the guards.

Of course he struggled; impossible situation for him. He played fine and will be fine.

Come on, I know you're level headed and I'm certainly not.  But he was terrible. If you can't admit that then my respect for you will definitely change for the worse.
I certainly hope _FAN doesn't give a crap about if you respect him.

I don't.

He's got to hit the shots he missed and catch the ball, but he boarded and defended well. I'm really not that disappointed considering what he was thrown into, and anyone who is that upset is being unreasonable IMHO.

The use of the word upset is very telling.  He did not play well.  Drawing a couple fouls early and the occasional rebound against a poor rebounding team is not a saving grace.

Gip is a freshman who is a boards and d guy, if you expected him to play much better in this game you're a rough ridin' idiot. He should have made a couple shots he didn't and caught a couple passes he dropped, but even a perfect game from Gip and we still lose this game.

Not one cuse fan going to ask that dude WTF on the racist chants?

Guess they figure pedo is worse than racist :dunno:

3519
Then today they servered orange slices at lunch. I dumped my tray over on the lunch lady and screamed pedophile and walked off.

3520
Last night I found all the local Syracuse fans using the sex predator site then I went to each of their houses and put an orange in a paper sack and lit it on fire. When they came out and smashed the orange stomping out the fire I laughed and ran away.

3521
the only thing bob is going to do tonight is get blackout drunk

Maybe he'll hold off and after helping TSC Syracuse will celebrate and get blackout drunk while Frank diddles a stripper... just like old times

3522
I hope Samuels kills someone to protect Angel, absolutely kills them

When I first saw the thread title at first I thought his name was Mercury Burton. That would be great. Is that his name?

It is now.

Casting my vote for this to be his official goEMAW nickname. Mercury Burton blows Scoop Jardine out of the water.

I'm officially designating Hillis as the player to receive this years' inevitable cheap shot from either the Raiders or Broncos, probably be the first time I ever cheer for a Oakland/Denver cheap shot.
