Dyson is like, my favorite. Let's keep him.

given cains injuries the past few years, we should keep dyson because he plays a mean CF
I thought Bonifacio looked better in CF than Dyson. Dyson has speed to make up for mistakes but he seems to have alot of bad reads and a weak arm.

My video game GM move though: trade Butler and Cain to Toronto for Rasmus (maybe add some prospects each way to make it work). Rotate the DH between Maxell, whoever Bonifacio replaces in the field, and Perez days off catching.

Seems like Bonifacio is gone.

Really?  I figured that dude would definitely be around next year.

He's making almost $3 million next year to be a utility player.  I'd love it if he stays but wouldn't be surprised at all if they unload him.  It is the Royals after all.

If Bonifacio isn't packaged for a starting pitcher I see him getting near starter AB totals. Backup at 2B/SS plus will probably get the majority of ABs when Cain goes down for a month+

yeah joda that's pretty dumb. also did I miss this berry moving to LB thing?

Berry lines up at LB in a couple of the sub packages.

And my thoughts on Charles where still give him 10-15 carries a game sand he still be the primary RB in running situations but Davis in the backfield with Charles at WR could be more dangerous than Charles at RB with DMC at WR (not a big DMC fan).

guys who should we draft? I think position wise, it makes sense to go OL or WR or TE. but I would love to see a CB late in the first round...
By order of want:
1. WR- Need another good one in a bad way
2. S- Lewis, Demps, and Abdullah are all ok backups but when Berry moves to LB (love this btw) it would be nice to still have a stud back there
3. ILB- Jordan has been ok but plugging another stud in next to DJamer would be great
4. CB- As long as Peyton and Rivers are in the division need as many as possible
5. OL- Always need more
6. QB- Alex will probably get an extension and be here for the next 4-5 years and I'm high on Bray so I don't think it's that high of a priority
7. OLB- We all know what happened when Hali and Houston are hurt
8. Any stud that falls at any other position

Sorta OT crazy idea: If Knile Davis keeps playing well and not fumbling make him the primary RB and use Charles in the DMC role but with more rushing attempts. Thoughts?

Starting the non-Big12HM QB.

This. Lots and lots of Sams. The whole season of not using him enough was just a scheme to win a bowl game.

you didn't read that correctly

« on: December 16, 2013, 03:04:26 PM »
well nobody got it so i am going to just tell the whole story.

right after USA hired Jurgsy, keitz had some national soccer expert or whatever on BTL. they are talking about the hire and what it means for USMNT going forward, etc. then KK asks this guy if it was odd that they hired a non-American coach. "you know, shouldn't the coach be from the country he's coaching??" the expert paused for, like, an eternity, and then said (i'm paraphrasing): "you know, kevin, i have played soccer my whole life and covered international soccer for XX years, and i have never once thought that, or heard anyone else anywhere say or ask anything like that before in my entire life."

Soccer fans can be so pretentious sometimes.  Some people don't know very much about soccer and are just starting to learn.  Big deal.  Get over yourselves.

I dunno, I think wanting a national team coach to ONLY be from said country is pretty gross, borderline xenophobic
Plus this is supposed to be the land of opportunity right? What type of country would this be if we didn't allow stud Germans the opportunity to mush their fellow/former countrymen?

So isn't there a pretty good chance that by the time a '15 QB is ready to contribute we have a new head coach?

I consider myself a casual fan of WSU but the majority of their fanbase has a horrible case of little man syndrome. Like makes KU fans seem super relaxed and confident and lacking a need for validation. It would almost be worth it to add them as a basketball only member just for the BBSing gold that would ensue.

Is there a such thing as mild Down Syndrome? Something isn't right with Tyler Haws. He has a misshapen skull and his eyes are very very close together.

Also one of the BYU bigs had one of the dirtiest elbows I've seen in a while, he should be suspended.
Pretty sure it's some form of Morman inbreeding syndrome. The whole BYU team is pretty fugly.

You know what would be neat?  Put that "Family" log out on a pedestal or something like they do rocks everywhere else and have the guys touch it as they walk out.

I'd really like that.

Someone get to carving it in bronze, or maybe even gold/platinum :kstategrad:

i mean, Ivy is retweeting people saying that he committed to the Cats, so he's doing a great job of confusing the crap out of people

I like him already.

Don't want/Save that scholarship

Don't be like that. The guy is 6'5" 230.  Two years in the weight room, he'll be 250+ and a beast on wheels.

If Dayton can get him cheap and those in the organization who are good at evaluating such things think he can still handle 2b then I think he'd be a good addition. The Moose, Uribe, Bonifacio setup at 2b/3b would probably be acceptable and preferable to something like way overpaying for Brandon Phillips.

It wasn't after the TD catch, I'm talking about the horrible throw he made across his body.

his spaceballs quote when he saw waters had 1,234 yards passing on the season

Missed this one, what quote?

Well, Waters had 1,234 yards passing so.....
Ah, I remember that one now. Didn't catch the context during the game.

I'm tempted to say I wonder what it would look like if Snyder had allowed a camo jersey, but I'm afraid I know the answer.

Kansas State Football / Re: Unsettled Waters
« on: November 03, 2013, 11:26:55 AM »
By no means do I imply that Waters is great or should be the starter, but he is much better than he is made out to be on this board. He made bad throws and was bailed out several times, but he made some decent throws too. Both quarterbacks played decent games and neither separated from the other. Both will continue to play.

Just as Waters had a chance to take a lead in the race yesterday, Sams had a chance against both OSU and Baylor. Both are just average QBs right now that make good and bad plays. Neither has given Snyder a reason to declare one or other the starter.
I completely agree with this, and I don't really mind both playing as long as they're used right. My only problem is that it seems like its pretty obvious that when Waters makes a poor throw he carries it over and he enters a mini slump. At those points he's pretty much worthless for the next 4-5 drives. The coaches seem to be waiting about 2-3 drives longer than they should to make the switch.
