OJ Mayo did more for K-State basketball than Steve Henson ever did.

Just wanted to rub it in.

Hey, looks like my laptop is completely charged now.  I'm going to go unplug it by yanking it really hard from the side and nothing will happen.

mine would also be completely charged as well but a toothpick would go flying

Maybe Hemmy could build you a good cord.

Make your work buy you a laptop

do not want
Why not?  Seems like the easiest (and only) way to get a new laptop every few years, and not have to worry about it breaking.

I just got this option not a month ago.  I was all DESKTOP and they were all, HUH, EVERYONE ELSE GETS A LAPTOP and I was all DO NOT WANT TO DEAL WITH LUGGING IT AROUND.  We use citrix so I can login to work from home/hotel/wherever if I want and also don't have to worry about my canadian friend.
They make really small laptops now.  Light, thin, portable.

ok :dunno:

buy a mac

  :dubious:

Have you ever seen a Mac cord?  They are so sleek and sexy.  It's like aliens made them or something.

Yeah why do PC's have horrible cords?  Their cords all look like they came from radio shack in 1996.  You know what I'm saying?

Essentially Flyertalk / Re: Milk
« on: January 28, 2011, 08:21:16 PM »
What I would guess:

The size of the opening.  A bottle has a narrow opening, which doesn't allow you to smell your drink as easily.  This is why you are more likely to drink spoiled milk from the bottle (you don't smell the spoilage until you taste it with your mouth).  When you pour milk into a glass you a get a wider area to smell from and you have disturbed the milk releasing more milk particles to smell into the air.  Since a large majority of what we sense as taste is smell this in principle could be a factor.

Wow, great point.  It seems the pieces of this puzzle are all falling into place.

Does anyone know why milk tastes so much different out of the carton than from a glass?  :dubious:

I know milk tastes different when it comes in opaque containers because light can break down some of the proteins.

 :blindfold:

So when I pour the milk from the carton into a glass the proteins magically reform and restore the taste?   :dubious:

Everything tastes better in glass. It's not just milk.

False, everything tastes exactly the same from a carton as it does in a glass.  Everything except milk.  But why?

Are you talking about paper cartons or plastic cartons?

Plastic.

I bet it's reassuring knowing if the USA was attacked by nuclear weapons, you would be one of the first to go. :ohno:

I have honestly thought about this. Can't decide if it would be better to just go with the first wave, or not.

Yeah, tough question.  Live, or die?  Not sure.

They should make a video game called Jury Duty and you control a person in the jury and you have to listen to the case and then decide whether the person is innocent or guilty.  And maybe you could try to convince other jurors that you are right and stuff.
Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney? Great game! :fatty:

Can you play as a juror?

« on: January 26, 2011, 12:27:47 PM »

Back and forth first few minutes, KU goes on a run to go up 12 or so. KU goes on another run to go up 18 at half. Nice run by KU to start the 2nd half gets the game to 12 possessions. KU goes on another run, lead goes to 30 at the 8 minute mark. KU has a nice run out of the timeout, pushes lead to 35 or 36 by the under 4 TO. KU wins by 40 after making FTs while Cats miss shots.

Tate Forcier? Why would he come to KSU?

I emailed "Old Snyder" to the athletic department.  I asked them to play it during a timeout or something.  They did not respond so I think they are probably going to play it.
