My wife and I recently stumbled upon a gem of a movie on Netflix titled 'Yesterday'. Has anyone seen this? Unique premise and we really enjoyed it.

We also watched Damsel with Millie Bobby Brown. It was pretty good. It was fine.

Is this the one where they Mandela Effect The Beatles? It's lovely.

Yeah, it was great

DILEMMA: I need to overseed my lawn right now. It has lots of bare patches and is basically a joke. But if I seed now I can't put down crabgrass preventer for like 6 weeks. What do I do??

I don't think who POTUS is tangibly changes the lives of a vast majority of Americans.  HOWEVER, Trump exposed the emotional fragility on both sides of the spectrum, mostly because he was so emotionally fragile himself.  He was unique in that he was actively inflammatory.
His policy didn't change many lives but his rhetoric did.  So because of the current condition of America I do think it's important to elect peace makers, unifiers, and others who are actively ANTI inflammatory.

Yep. It's important to elect unifiers. And for the 3rd time in a row there are none to vote for!

we've all changed since 8 years ago. i'm glad you've found a politics-related thing that you think is important (electing unifiers?)

If there is one thing we know for sure it's that this election is very important.  Lots of things will change for the worse if one certain person gets elected over another certain person.  So make sure you vote because this is important.  Things will not basically stay exactly the same in your day to day life regardless of who the president is.  A lot is at stake.  And there is definitely not basically nothing at stake.

Yeah! We're all growing and changing. Except for the presidential candidates we can choose from. They are staying the same and dying.

Oppenheimer has me spinning in circles. Did it suck complete balls? Or was it one of the best movies I've seen? I go back and forth. So I guess it was just ok?

Loki is a really good show imo. I'm watching it with my 13 year old and we're almost through season one. I thought it would be bad, but I was wrong, it's very good.

My parents go to south Texas every winter in their RV. They play tons of golf and pickleball. Seems fun.

Keeping with the theme of the Nazi Atlantic wall construction of KU Memorial Stadium - something that even the unknowing construction eye would immediately pick up on.

The old girl proved not to be a soft underbelly, but rather a tough old gut in the demo process.

The amount of reinforced concrete in that ol' gal ... Someone said, and I admittedly have not confirmed it, that it was more concrete than was used in the Hoover Dam.

Admire that someone's ambition, but no.  The amount in Memorial was maybe 1-2 days' worth of concrete placed at Hoover.  They were running concrete continuously 12 hours a day for a couple years with only Christmas and Thanksgiving off in general.  In another measure, the amount of concrete in Hoover Dam would cover a football field to a height greater than the original World Trade Center Towers.

Yeah Spracne you stupid idiot.

Another Topeka note: I recently went to Iron Rail Brewing with my family for the first time and it was great! Nice work downtown Topeka!

@Saulbadguy, what are your thoughts on Iron Rail Brewing?

A nurse from Topeka had to post a PSA that you don't have to drink the water WHILE it's boiling for it to be safe because of how many people had shown up to the hospital to be treated for mouth burns.

Hell yeah Top City.   :D

KT might have won the Chiefs the Super Bowl with that punt return last year. So losing the Chiefs the Super Bowl this year would be a nice bookend for his time in KC.

Napoleon is soooooo dissapointing.

Battles/costumes/picture are amazing

The dialogue is awful/corny  Very much in the vein of Last Duel

We played the game of LIFE last night as a family. I sucked the whole game but then won on the 'put all your money on one number and spin' option at the end. One of the most exhilarating moments of my life wow!

The Last Duel was good. I liked how they told the story 3 times in 3 different perspectives.

The narrative framework was unique and enjoyable, but there were some corny ass acting performances turned in. I still had a good time, thanks in large part to noting how the 3 persons perceived the same situations differently.

Lucky for me I'm incapable of identifying bad acting unless it's Paul Walker (RIP) level or worse.
