Dunno ben ji, trespassing makes me all noivuss.

Both of those ponds appear to be public. Worst thing that could happen is the owner shows up and is all like "Hey, what are you doing fishing my pond" then you are all like "O I'm sorry sir, i thought this was public/I've been fishing here since I was a kid" then he is all like "Well its my land, you need to go" then you are all like "Sure thing" and go to the next pond.

Pro Tip- This pond used to be a farm pond and has bass/catfish in it. Back in my younger days I would hop the fence and fish in the 2 ponds to the west, caught a 5lb'er in the big pond but now I am too old to be jumping fences to catch fish.

So apparently Benghazi was not really a embassy and was just loaded with CIA people?  :dunno:

Man, I really wish the phone on my camera was working yesterday when I went down to the KS River underneath the 435 bridge. You guys would be amazed at the crazy asians down there.

I counted 8 different people standing in the middle of the river with throw nets catching fish, even a couple standing on top of the weir/waterfall throwing nets belows. The males would net a bunch of fish, bring them over to the shore where the female's/kids would throw them straight on the fire, no cleaning or anything.

Then in about 5 minutes they would pull the whole fish off the flames and eat it with their hands.  :surprised:

Thought about fishing the lake of Lenexa Sunday. Anyone ever fish that area or the smaller surrounding lakes in JO? Was going to fish from the shore for bass/crappie.

I dont normally fish public lakes, find a good looking pond on google maps and just walk up to it and start fishing.

Great way to get shot by some crazy farmer.

Pro tip- Dont go on crazy farmers land. Look on the edges of suburbia and there are pockets of land that got skipped over in development, alot of those pockets have farm ponds on them.

Pro Tip #2- Look at 435 and 69 highway on google maps. See the pond southwest of the interchange? These are the places I'm talking about. I fished it once in high school and caught a couple fish, will probably check it out again this weekend.

ben ji, you dont need any game or apologies (no one ever needs apologies) when you have an adorable puppy like lady.

just ask to do something outdoors and boom, lady does the rest. why else do you have a dog...?

True story- Back in november I was still trying to win her heart back I asked her if she wanted to hang out on a thursday and she was all like "Well considering thats my bday(i didnt know! no FB to remind me!) probably not" Then on her bday I sent her of picture of lady sitting on a piece of paper that said "Happy Bday!"

SHE LOVED IT :D

Me and my bro's actually invented a game when we were in nashville for a bachelor party last month, we ended up playing it for 3 hours.

"Nature Ballz"

What you need: 2 footballs, 10 tennis balls, 1 trash can, 2 golf clubs(a stick would work too).
How many players?: At least 5 on each side, optimal number is around 8.
Where to play: Any open Field. Place Trash can in the middle of the field, each team cannot cross the trash can and go on the other teams side. Place golf clubs or sticks 20 feet on each side of trash can.
In a nutshell: Combination of Throw a football in the trash can from behind the clubs and dodgeball with tennis balls. Each time you make the football in the trash can you score 5 pts, each time you hit an opposing player with a tennis ball you score 1 pt. Play to a total of 69 points.
Rules you should know: Every player must have an open beer in their hand at all times. If your team makes the football in the trash can the opposing team has to take a knee and chug their beer while you un-mercifully mock them and fake air hump next to their heads. If you hit an opposing player with a tennis ball they have to take a drink of their beer.
Play for money? Just for fun  :D
Strategy tidbit: If you can control all of the tennis balls you will be able to post up by the trashcan and catch any bad football throws before they cross onto the opponents side. To keep the game flowing I recommend a 1 minute shot clock for each person holding a tennis ball.

Trying to work on things w/ my ex-fiance who lives in Lawrence and with whom I own a home there, it sucks  :frown:

Like get back together or split amicably?

No idea what your situation was but when I wanted to get back with an old fling I straight up told her I was young and immature and made a mistake. Seems like its a pretty boilerplate approach to take.

What is everyone's view on getting back with old flames?

Dated a girl for about a year and broke up with her September of 11. She took it rough, defriended me on FB and everything.

Feel like i maybe made a mistake as she's a real nice girl and I just kind of panic'd at the 1 year mark and broke it off quickly. I started texting her again a couple months ago, after getting throught the hate texts she met me for drinks last week and we are planning to hang out again soon.

Update-

Things have been going great! In fact she just re-accepted my FB friend request after 5 months of it sitting in her inbox! (She says she never gets on FB)

What's your "go to" bass lure ben ji?  I like a black & blue jig-n-pig or a Texas rigged tube if it's weedy.

My "Go to" lure is a 4 inch grub on a 1/8oz jig head. Will sometime's mix it up with a jig n pig or a roadrunner, they are all very similiar.

My backup lure is a plastic worm set up with my own variation of the Texas jig that leaves the hook exposed.

Not a big fan of spinners or crank baits, never seem to catch anything on them.

Caught about 5 fish in the first hr yesterday but nothing after that.

Biggest one was only about 2-3 lbs.

Will prob come back Saturday morning instead of going down to the river.

ATTENTION KC AREA gEMAW'S.

ben ji(and lady) will be giving a guided fishing tour of one of his favorite hidden fishing spots in shawnee tonight.

This is a small pond that in the past has been loaded with bass, I have not been to it since last spring so no guarantee's about catching eleventy billion fish.

I'm never going to own a lawn mower or yard equipment of any kind

Any kind? Really?

correct. I do own a hose but it is not for yard use. strictly for hosing out garage at the end of winter use. and that's just because I don't have a convenient person to hire to do that for me.

SD-

If you move next door to me in PV we would be BFF. My neighbors were gone for a couple weeks when their mother passed away so I mowed their lawn and edged their driveway/sidewalk FOR FREE.

8371
Hey wackycat, you still live in shawnee?

Thinking about hitting up a super secret fishing spot in shawnee tonight after work.

This was my favorite spot to fish in high school, used to pull out 10-15 bass each on a day. The thing is it gets really overgrown with aquatic weeds during the summer so you have to fish it before it gets mucked up.
