1. Is cheap, but not imperial palace type cheap.
2. We will spend no time in the room besides sleeping
3. Must be on the strip.
4. Will probably need 3 rooms in a block together

1. Planet Hollywood
2. Flamingo
3. Monte Carlo

PH is great for bachelor parties. Cheap, nice enough, younger crowd, good center strip location.

Thanks for the help guyz!

As I was admiring the beautiful Memorial Stadium track on TV Saturday, I managed to focus my eyes away from it for a moment and checked out the suites/pressbox. If WSC is a " cruise ship" that piece of crap on top of Memorial is a rough ridin' lifeboat.

Nope, WWII era german pillbox

Baylor’s Offense – 42 points allowed to West Virginia? No problem. Not when you get 73 yourselves and put up a whopping 872 yards of offense. In this game, Baylor broke the following records:

The Baylor record for total yards (781)

The Big 12 record for total offense (807)

The West Virginia record for yards allowed (700)

 Baylor record for points (70)

The first team since LSU in 1930 to score 70 points in three straight games

Oh and BTW, they could have gone for more than that, easily. They had 356 yards after the FIRST quarter.

How much money is the federal government missing out by keeping drugs illegal? Billions upon billions?

Not even counting how much money they would save in enforcement. Before prohibition taxes/tariffs/fee's on alcohol accounted for 75% of the federal budget, I'm really surprised no one has pushed for legalization on revenue generation alone.

What are they going to do with the other 16,200?
(Not kidding. I was there at the end of the FB game yesterday.)

This thread has exploded since K-State has been exposed as a smoke and mirrors fraud.  The 'taters are farm hump deprived, and now it's back to living vicariously through the struggles of KU football.  I'm surprised it took this long considering the season kicked off with a loss at home to an FCS school.  Elite.

How many teams have been within 1 game of playing for 2 national titles in the past 25 years? Maybe 20-30?  I would hardly call that a smoke n mirrors flash in the pan.

Gill didn't set the program back more than one or two seasons at the most anymore than Mangino's last year set the program back.  There are lots of playmakers from Gill's recruiting on this team, last season and this season.  How anyone can look at that game on Saturday and blame Gill is beyond me.  In fact, it may be that the great play of last year's offensive line was a carry over from Grimes coaching the O-line for two years under Gill.

We are in the midst of a 4 year stretch now that is probably the worst in the history of an  otherwise mediocre program.  In fact, it may be approaching the worst run of any BCS level program.  No one on our team has experienced any winning at the college level, including most of our  coaching staff.  I am not knocking any one individually, but collectively there has got to be a loser's mindset permeating our entire team and staff.  Despite what CW and the players say, they are not expecting to win nor good things to happen.....human nature just doesn't allow it.  I think many of us were hoping Charlie's "attitude" would be the catalyst to change, but that obviously hasn't happened.  I am clueless as to what a realistic positive catalyst would be.

I'll gladly throw KU in there as the worst
I bet you will.. what an awful fan. you epitomize the fan base as a whole tho

KU is the worst team in the big 12, that's not being a bad fan, that is a reality. It sucks and I hate it, but at least I can be realistic about how bad the jayhawks are. Some of you on here act like you are a top 15 team that's just caught some bad breaks. Its laughable, the big 12 is bad and kstate is in the bottom half of a bad conference.

We won the Big12 and were 1 game away from playing for a national title last year.

Will the performance on the field affect the stadium upgrade?
Or is the upgrade already set to start at the end of this season?  I would assume the less donations just means the more KU has to finance themselves, but could the poor on field performance actually delay the stadium renovations for at least another year?

The symbolism of KU football's best player being concussed by the track around the field is tragically poetic

That is very sad... on Homecoming no less. I think things are getting to the point where there is some legitimate concern for our future status if we can't put together an FBS level football program that can outdraw directional FCS programs and the service academies....

Basketball is great but it will not save us as a stand alone.

I love the Off season. It's the most exciting time of the year for KU football. The last two off seasons have been so full of hope and promise. If we could just be in the off season all the time we could compete for the Big 12 championship,

Just watch on TV.  But don't plan your entire day around KU football games.  That's what I've done since Mangino left.  There's no reason for a sensible human being to blow money/time on this program right now, especially every weekend.  Once you stop investing so much in them, then it's easier to not be angry about the results on the field.  If I was a season ticket holder, I'd be pissed right now.

We have the worst uniforms in college athletics: We looked like a bunch of flamin crayola crayons on that field yesterday and then topped it off with a f**king bird on the helmet ("but but but, it was the ANGRY bird" some might say....listen to yourselves, folks....still a bird).  If you are going to suck, at least try to LOOK like a quality D1 football team.

If winning a bowl game is a tailspin, what do you call the last 3 years? All the supposed problems mangino was facing according to all the "insiders" on the Internet (bad recruiting, assistant coach defections, transfers, mad parents), He still won 5 games in that last year. Do you know how far we are from 5 wins right now? We would throw a freaking parade if we got to that win total in a season

:(

KU football will never have crazy amounts of talent on it - period. Go back and look at KSU's recruiting classes over the years and you'd think they're on par with LA Tech, but they were in the hunt for a BCS title last year.

You don't need a full stable of NFL caliber players to win a 5+ games per season. You need a coach who knows how to succeed at the BIG XII level.

Mark Mangino was 50-48 at Kansas, which is amazing taking into account his first year of turning it around (2-10) and last year when Lew sabotaged the season (5-7).

So far Turner and Weis are 8-32.

Mangino was the best thing that ever happened to KU football.

Canning Mangino was the biggest mistake in KU football history. That you guys can't see that shows just how clueless our fanbase truly is when it comes to football.

I agree with a real college football coach, but that's not going to happen with Charlie. This is going to be one of the ugliest conference seasons in a long time and our conference isn't even any good. We just had a team score 54 straight points against us at home. Charlie gets worse as he goes, just ask ND. By the end of the year nobody will be going to games and we'll look less competitive than the Gill years. This hire will haunt KU for a long time.

Kansas does not have to be competing for conference championships in football, but we MUST somehow manage to field a Big 12 caliber football team. What I saw out there today would embarrass most high school programs...and the stench of quit one could smell across the TV.

This is important for our university. If futher reshuffling of the conferences happens, as many think it will, KANSAS must field a team capable of competing at the FBS level.

Sadly, what we witnessed today will drop attendance at Memorial by some 10,000 per game.
