Beautiful house (Minus the radiators) but what are you going to do with 8 bedrooms?

My favorite block in KC is right next to that on Janssen place but you better play it safe and get a new build out in Spring Hill.

Unless jones will take a 2-3 year deal for a discount I let him walk and sign Sneed to a 4 year deal. I just don't see Jones playing at his current level for another 4-5 years at 30+ years old.... On the other hand we have killed it at drafting DB's so maybe we can just find the next Sneed in the draft?

In regards to the draft I'd go OT/WR in round 1 and 2 in any order depending on how the draft goes. I think we should draft at least 1-2 WR's in every draft (with 1 in the first 3 rounds and another late round flyer) we have Mahomes on the off chance we hit on another Rice type player.

At the end of the day I trust Veach so I'm not going to complain until we stop winning Superbowls.

Life changing Tomato soup pro tip incoming-

Take your standard canned/boxed tomato soup and add like half a log of goat cheese when you start to heat it. This makes it super creamy and rich.

Then right before you take it off the stove add a splash or two of balsamic vinegar.

I watched the parade around 16th and grand then ate at King G afterwards. We had no idea anything had happened until we walked out and checked our phones and had tons of "Are you okay" texts from people including an email from my parents in Australia.

We hung out for about another hour going to some breweries and working our way back to the car.

It was pretty surreal as everything was going on as usual in our area and we had no idea what anyone was talking about.

Cooked some lamb loins for the first time today after randomly grabbing them at aldi's.

Loosely followed this recipe www.foodandwine.com/recipes/lamb-chops-sizzled-garlic

Added a side of sauteed mustard greens.

10/10 would do again.

Also where am I gonna park? Like I get that there is tons of parking within a 10 minute walk around the stadium but I honestly just hate dealing with it. I go down to the crossroads about once a month and almost always take an uber because I just hate figuring out what is private parking where i'm going to get towed and what is pay parking and what the hell I'm just supposed to put $5 in an envelope in a slot?

I'm assuming they will have designated lots for parking on royals game days it will go smooth but maybe some details on that so we don't have 10k jocoians circling the crossroads trying to find a parking spot on opening day.

(And dont tell me to ride the streetcar which I would love to but there is no way it has capacity to handle 10k+ people in the hour before/after games).

I'm still in favor of the move, just have some questions on the execution.

I'm cool with them moving down to the crossroads but they need to make an exact replica of the K down there (or at least as close as possible). I want a huge crown in center field and fountains for drunk Iowa'ns to jump into).

My biggest startled moment happened one dark morning on a run. I came bopping down the street and our neighborhood owl took flight from the middle of the street. I'd apparently interrupted his breakfast. Man, that thing was huge. Spotted him later sitting on the neighbor's roof peak.

And I agree. Fascinating birds.

I was walking the dog one night and came face to face with an owl at eye level. It was perched on the luggage rack of an SUV and I had no idea it was there until I got even with it (Maybe 2 ft away) and it whomp whomped its wings to fly away.

Chip hates recruiting/schmoozing with donors and had basically quit doing it at UCLA , lost alot of his team this year and was staring down the barrel of a 3-4 win season in the big10. UCLA is broke and couldn't fire him so he was a dead man walking this year.

It will definitely be interesting to see how this impacts Will.

By gawd this blog is old now....14 years ago we were writing fake doc sadler obits for free tickets.

Kenneth "Doc" Sadler passed away last Saturday at the age of 58 after a long battle with recruiting. Doc lived in Jonesboro where he has been an assistant coach at Arkansas State for the past 3 seasons.

Doc was born on June 12th 1960 to Charles Sadler and a two bit street walker. Charles raised Doc by himself saying "My kid will learn to do things the right way. The only way to make sure no corners will be cut is if I raise him myself". Doc earned a degree in Phsyical Education from the University of Arkansas. While at Arkansas Doc served as a team manager for LHC Eddie Sutton. Doc could often be seen the night before game day scouring all the watering holes in Fayetville trying to find out where Eddie and his degenerate son Sean had holed up for the night. When reached for comment about Doc's sudden death Sean Sutton said "This doesnt count as my one phone call does it"

Doc spent 10+ years working his way up through the coaching ranks before getting his big break. Billy Gilepsie hired Doc as an assitant coach/DD on a referral from Eddie Sutton. After Gilepsie left Doc guided the Miners to a NCAA tournament and the First of his many NIT berths before leaving for Nebraska and the Big12 conference.

Doc coached at Nebraska for 12 years reaching 7 NIT's. Doc embraced the "Solid Long Term Hire" strategy and lifted it to new heights with his strategy of recruiting borderline Division 1 prospects and redshirting them. His pinnacle of success came in 2017 when his Huskers won the National Invitational Tournament. When asked why he turned down an opportunity to participate in the more prestigious NCAA tournament Doc said "I'm building a program here! We dont cut corners! Some of these kids have been with me for 6 years, all they know is the NIT. Plus we are bound to play more games in the NIT than the NCAA. Thats how you build a program, by practicing more than everyone else!" In his last fits with dementia Nebraska Chancellor Tom Osbourne inexplicably fired Doc in 2019 saying "I like doc,doc doc doc, (incoherent ramblings), PPOOOOOOOPPPPPYYYYY".

Doc is predeceased by his wife Tonya, second wife Tashanda, and third wife Tonka. He leaves behind 6 children, Effort age 23, Determination age 20, Princess Girl age 16, Grinder age 12, Princess Girl 2 age 10, and his youngest son Redshirt age 3. Any donations can be made to the AAU team of your choice.

Had a dream last night where I was offered a job as Chris Kliemans secretary/personal assistant. I was debating moving to manhattan but hadn't made up my mind by the time I woke up.

You got Neek'd?
Nah, like sit in a desk outside of his office type of gig and gatekeep who gets to see him while making his schedule etc.

red kitchen in downtown op opened this week.  we ate lunch there today.  it’s all great.

7926 sante fe, open 6 am to 2 pm daily.

I tried their tamales a couple of months ago and they lived up to the hype.  Most other tamales I've had are garbage.
we got a burrito, tamales, tostadas, and tacos, everything was very good.
Level of authenticity?

Jalapeños

Kmachos

Jose peppers

Bonito Michoacán

it’s very authentic, not texmex

Grabbed 3 tamales over lunch today and it was very good. They are like corn dog sized tamales tho, I was hoping for bigger ones.

Will eat again.

Guys....the bird is back with a vengeance. He has been none stop hammering himself into my kitchen window for a couple of week. I recently moved my office upstairs and its way more annoying. I hate this little bastard with all my being. His nest is right there in the bush next to the window and I've tried to reason with him by telling him I'm going to burn his house down and kill his family, but he won't listen.

Just move the nest to a new tree and see if that helps....or just use the red ryder

Like NU in football back in the day before the landscape changed, they had a nice run.

Excellent comp, KU from 05-22 was basically NU football from 90-01 but with one less natty and a couple of more conference titles.

Swim up rooms: smash or trash?

Equal...Yeah its cool to have your own swim up pool outside your room but unless it lazy river connects to the main pools at a resort you are just staring at another hotel room or the jungle on the otherside. And if it does lazy river connect to the rest of the pool you are going to have rando's outside your room all day trying to make the full loop.

I think its the fact that not many players stay at a school for 3-4 years so you can build up that hatred for them.

Rush/Collins/Morningstar/ellis (didnt actually hate him)/mason/graham etc all stayed there for years which let the hate build up.

Will anyone hate dickenson as much as Jeff Withey? Doubtful

I'm thinking about going to Montreal around june ish.  Any pro tips?

Do you need a visa or anything to get into canadia or can I just book a plane ticket and show my passport?

Going to cancun/playa del carmen in early march now instead which has put montreal on the backburner....maybe one day montreal.

The only thing that would make me more satisfied is a trip to the final four.  So, in that way I am just as happy about this year as I am about last year.

this is where i'm at. Kinda crazy to think but like, if we don't make the FF this year, then 5 months from now if i think back on the season it will be virtually indistinguishable from last year.
I'm looking forward to our 4th straight loss to a mid major in the elite 8!

I honestly feel bad for them.

We're 7-10 against them in MHK since Beasley's crew snapped the streak. Not anything special, but AFW is gone.

We don't even do their pet butthurt things (F*ck KU, courtstorming) anymore.

And they haven't beaten us in football since Obama's first year in office.

Obama was still a senator from Illinois the last time they beat us in football  :surprised:

After the Adidas ruling, Self made some proclamation about how they are really going to to go after it now. It really makes one wonder whether the only thing that separated Bill Self from his peers in prior seasons was his access to boosters and corporations who were willing to cheat at a higher level.

Now that the field has been leveled just a tiny bit, he can't seem to do as well.  Again, obviously when it comes to head to head competition on the basketball court Tang is the superior coach, that's indisputable.  However, I suspect that we may see other coaches do the same.  So, let's enjoy this while it lasts, because there is probably going to be a long line of other coaches who claim a winning record head-to-head against Bill Self going forward!

Why is Townsend still on the coaching staff? He's been the bagman his entire career but now everyone can be a bagman.

Would suck to spend 30 years mastering the craft, rising to the top of your profession just to be obsolete overnight.
